The Canadian Grand Prix was yet another ‘back to reality’ moment for #sergioperez . Such were the promises put out by #sergioperez at the start of the season that everyone would’ve deemed him mature enough to challenge #maxverstappen for the title. But with him having slump after slump in the last few races, and especially #maxverstappen winning those, we can safely say that Perez not only is out of the title race, but will now have to fight even for the second place in the Drivers’ Standings. So, is Perez actually fit to drive a #redbullracing and is his position in the team actually threatened?

RB cares about the constructors championship, that's where the money is. Drivers championship comes second. RB wan't to win as much as possible, or at least get maximum points they are capable of. Checo is typically a solid, safe driver, but he isn't really in the same league as Max, Hamilton, Leclerc, Alonso, Lando and even Russell.
Half the battle is psychological, a lack of condifence can put a driver in a rutt, hopefully he will bounce back and start getting on the podium again. People like Max live and breathe racing on and off the track, spends an awful lot of time on racing games when he isn't using the simulator and racing at RB. Most of the top young drivers do that and have an advantage over the older drivers partly because of it.
Checo is not there to challenge Max but the rest of the grid. He must get that into his head.
he needs to stop worrying about a championship and start focusing on his seat. Checo is a good driver and has been a helluva team player in the past, but I guess we'll see.
Checo has brilliant moments, but that's the problem they are moments.
RB puts all their effort on Max.
If Perez doesn't finish in the podium for both the Sprint and Race then i will understand if he is replaced at the end of the season

Checo is de-motivated because he is not allowed to compete for the driver's championship........which is what really matters to him.
Red Bull controls this championship and their 2nd driver, although I firmly believe if they could magically swop cars before a race, no one would catch Checo, not even Max in Checo's car.

Upgrades, strategy, politics, and entire RB executives are all in favor of Max. Checo has the skill to be a champion but he’ll never be a champion as long as he’s in RB. I feel sorry for Danny Ric.

Winning 2 or 3 races doesn't make you a world champion!
Red Bull would make exactly the same amount of money if the team wins the constructors world championship by Checo being world champion or Max being world champion.

Who remembers when Johnny Dumfries raced for Lotus alongside Ayrton Senna? Even the toilet was set-up for Senna. Also, Helmut Marko is 100% on Verstappen's camp and any other driver is an obstruction. For Marko, Checo has two strikes from the get go: hes' not European and when Checo is fast, he's a threat to Marko's golden boy. Even his own number 2 driver. This team is set up for Verstappen and they will not go against Verstappen's interests. Max is too good and RedBull has too much money invested in him. I know that I'm going to get executed in the comment section, but I have hands-on personal experience in the F1 days of Senna, Mansell, Prost, Piquet, Lauda, etc. Unlike all y'all key-board warriors. I know how it works and this is Max's team just like Lotus was Senna's team. Fire away...
Well let me be your executioner. Yes Max is their golden boy. Yes Max recieves a five times higher salary as Sergio. I am not following you in your idea Marko is a racist.
But Sergio has never been a thread to Max, simply because he isn't in yhe same league. I might stipulate every driver builds his own team around him. So supposingly Max did a better job.
Sergio has two wins. On merit? No Max had problems with the car at those times. Red Bull expects from Sergio to become second because the RB 19 is indeed the best car. Sergio's ability to fine tune the car is not as good as Max's. In two races, Sergio had his setup so bad that his team decided to give him Max's.
Max gets everything out of it, Sergio doesn't. In Montreal he should have easily passed the Ferraris, but he didn't. I think it's a mental thing. He bragged about becoming the new world champion and it did put too much pressure on himself.
One of the problems with Sergio is he never puts the blame totaly on himself. There are always the conditions, the team or the car to blame. But as a top driver you have to manage all.

Checo just lacks consistency, something Max does have. So far it looks he's digging so far in his setup after the initial Friday practices that it's all messed up for quali and race.
The main problem is between his ears. His lacking results the last few races are impairing his judgement.
He should rely more on the team, and when there is a small issue with the car, work around the problem, head down and just push that gaspedal.
It all comes down to confidence, last year after winning a single race he already started saying he would become the World Champion.. this season he started saying it after 2 races.
He should just focus on driving, as fast as he can.. and if in the end he's a contender for the World Championship then that is something to think about in the 2nd half of the season.
Look I'm a fan of Max Verstappen, not because he's a 2-time WDC, was a fan of him before he started in F1. But .. I'm more a fan of F1 then of Verstappen so I hope that he will at least have a challenge. the Ferrari's looked okay on pace, the Mercs are crawling back slowly and then Alonso... it basicly could be 7 drivers fighting for the WDC .. now THAT would be EPIC! and yea I dont add Stroll to the mix.. he's just simply not good enough, the difference between Alonso and Stroll is even bigger then Verstappen and Perez.
But realisticly... Max is leading by 69 (nice!) points ahead of the #2 and I think before the summerbreak it will even become a lot more, this season is basicly a dud.. if Max wasn't part of the Championship.. then look at the standings and then you see 5 drivers realy close to eachother in comparisson.
Will I be happy when Max wins his 3rd WDC.. yea ofcourse, but this is by far the least interesting season of the last 10.
LOL 69 is nice, but it's a turn around. Not for Max I hope. Srgio is pushing himself beyond his (mental) limits.
They say Max and Sergio have different cars in favor of Max. Well it may seem to be so, but of course Red Bull wil bring their best car to te circuit to win as much as possible. There is no A or B car. There is also the ability to tune your car to your likings. Max seems to be better in fine tuning as Sergio.
It already happened a few times Sergio's setup was slower so they changed it to the setup Max found out.
Maybe Max talenst make him get all or even more ou of his car, while Sergio stays within the car's limit.
Sergio has not been able to beat the other top drivers when starting from behind them, although he has the better car. Montreal was the proof Sergio is not in the same league as Max.

@@abdifarah6099 You must be a bit out of your mind. They want their cars to be 1 and 2 as much as possible, so why woulkd they ruin thei second car. They want to win the WCC. Besides, Max doesn't care when Perez his car is even better than his.
Ah yes the eternal excuse from Perez & his fans,Rbr is giving him bad equipement,not like maybe he just isnt that good & by far the most overrated driver,even Bottas did better than him when at Mercedes.
