  • Does Lance Stroll genuinely earn his place in Formula 1? I'm diving into the journey of Lance Stroll, a racer whose path to the pinnacle of car racing was significantly accelerated by his billionaire father's support.
From his early karting days to securing a spot on the F1 grid, I'll examine the investments and decisions that made his career possible. Amidst the debate over 'pay drivers,' I'm taking a closer look at what Stroll brings to the table. Through insights and analysis, I'm tackling the crucial question: Is Lance Stroll there on merit?

Let’s just talk about the athletical performance… do you understand what you have to go through so that your body can go through such level of Gs during 2 hours at 100% concentration? The kilos of water you lose in just 2 hours? How precise, consistent, multi tasker and blondy fast you have to be? How many paying drivers do you think have made a pole, podiums and that much point, without ever driving a top car? I don’t particularly care about him but tired to always hear idiotic F1 newbs criticizing drivers as if they would’ve done much better. I bet you are nobody on your local go kart circuit. Well the best driver at your local circuit would stand no chance in a local F4 champioship, most probably. You need a superlicence to drive an F1… and you can’t buy it.

Sometimes people need to realize despite all the money and opportunities just having the desire to be among the best and putting the hard work behind it isnt enough to be among the best.
Many people put the hours and then complain: "Why I am not better than the best? I even put more hours than them and have the talent? "
    .
The answer is simple: "Its not how long you train, but how smart you train and how you use your time at training".
The best have a knack to somehow always be aware what they are lacking in and imidiately switch into improving their weaknesses to turn them into strengths and thats it.
To be the best you have to be able to be super honest with yourself what your weaknesses are and imidiately work on them. many people dont do that and this is what separates the best from the very good.

So hopefully the driver pool will start to shake up a lil bit. If it doesn't, i don't think the overall feel of F1 will change for us that aren't true die-hards. I enjoy the absolute precision and interesting tactics used and also the general coolfactor of an F1 race being so well shot for viewers! Since the racing doesn't have a ton of action, it's very nice to throw it on, and be able to listen and still know that you didn't miss much visually. Money is important, yes, but you cant reach F1, if you are too slow for the 40 required superlicense points. Lance Stroll was successful enough to earn the license in his junior career.
And dont forget: Stroll is a former F3 European Champion, which is one of the series filled with a lot of talented drivers. Just look at the grid that was in the year, when stroll or occon won it. There was a lot of top drivers there.

Be it monarchies with inbred princes, or incompetent sons getting a job for free while everyone else has to work hard for it, nepotism always sucks, but it's a core feature of capitalism.

Everyone buys their way into F1 one way or another, there is no racing without money. 99.99999% of them come from rich families. People with bully mentality just like to pick someone to hate on, someone they don't know anything about personally. They group together and write hateful stuff all they because that's how busyt they are. Some youtubers like you will do it for clout, like you just did.
I like to remember how Stroll was the only one who was sad about Dilano van 't Hoff's passing in a tragic crash and then only one who spoke about it in post race interview. I don't see haters covering that. Pathetic.

He might've bought his way into F1 but his efforts are evident in races. Understandably, he has the backing of his billionaire dad so his seat is under no threat. But unlike, Maze spin, this guy puts himself out there despite abuses hurled over him and has statistically shown good performance, if not the best.
Yes, he has some behavioral problems like a rich spoiled guy, but we have to consider the highly stressful race situations a driver is in. It's not an easy task to maintain your composure during the race and money can never buy that.
Money might've helped with his entry into f1, but the place where Lance stands today is more because of his performance and less coz of Lawrence's money.
