So here after the following updates : Alonso re-signed by Aston Martin Albon re-signed by Williams Alpine set to part ways with Ocon after the Monaco incident... Perez has also just re-signed with RedBull... Stroll also signed with Aston Martin Gasly signed with Alpine again Yuki also got a contract extension OLLIE BEARMAN signed with Haas in a multi-year deal...
As a huge Alonso fan, Fernando made the best decision and right choice for himself as there's no other teams willing to give him a multi-year contract besides Aston Martin. Going to Red Bull is not worth it considered that they were building around Max for years already and he definitely wont want to play the wingman role there. As for Mercedes, they are struggling and were not much better compared to Aston Martin based on the performances of their cars, also they are more inclined to look onto their future in Kimi Antonelli and thus going to a team that only considered you as a short-term option to make way for their future prospect is just not the worth to gamble either as Alonso would most likely ended up with no seats and forced himself into retirement. With Aston Martin, Alonso is much more comfortable with the team and he deemed his extension potentially a lifetime contract where he can do other stuffs he wants under Aston Martin when he decided to hang up the curtains from his Formula 1 career. Furthermore, they are a team that is building themselves up for the future with the establishments of their new facilities and wind tunnels to be finished by this year. Therefore coming to that season, for the first time, they will be responsible for the whole car such as making the gearbox, suspension and hydraulics in house rather than buying in from Mercedes, also with Honda now being in a much better situation than how they were back then during their short and terrible tenure with Mclaren so there are potentials where pieces to come together to make Aston Martin being a really competitive force on the Formula 1 grid in the future.
I think you’ve nailed it. Fernando now has the opportunity to really make Aston his team and be the driver that starts them on their journey to better things. Plus now he is staying he will definitely get some ambassador role when he retires to get in some extra cash 💰
@@NotApplicableJB yep abit like a role that Niki Lauda did during his time with Mercedes when he's still alive back then. If Aston Martin somehow manage to nail the 2026 regs, maybe Fernando would want to continue driving for another couple more years if he's still showing and thinks he is still performing at a really high level but we will have to wait and see. However, the conclusion is he has his future secured at Aston martin where the team allows him to do whatever he wants
I can see why Perez would be an amazing choice for Williams. But why do you think that Perez (if RB throws him out) would be happy to join them. From Top 1 team to Top 10.
@@NotApplicableJBnow why exactly would redbull get rid of him if they win the constructors championship, and he manages to get 2 place in the drivers standings??? The agenda against checo is real
Because Sainz is younger and better than him and if the grid closes up he'll be a liability? Out of the current top 5 teams he's better than Stroll and that's about it. Imagine a tight battle between Ferrari, McLaren, and RBR. You really think he's going to be able to help Max or the team against, Leclerc, Hamilton, Norris, and Piastri?

Considering the 26 season, I think Red Bull needs a VERY strong second driver if Ferrari having Hamilton (and possibly Newey) turns out to be a title contender.
I think if Lance had the pressure where he might be dropped he'd show some level of improvement. But being in the safest seat to me has made him slower. I don't think he was this bad in 2019

People say that it was more a ‘mental’ thing of the chassis. Now he has a new one, it is possible we can see some better finishes from him.
Unless Martins manages to win the F2 title I think Doohan will have the best chance of an Alpine seat. The all French approach is not looking too good now so I don't see it being a factor, they will want the best driver they can get regardless of flags. And Doohan has a famous name from motorsport which adds to his value. Although this particular name would probably be more suited to Aston Martin once Honda joins them.
@@NotApplicableJB I think it's telling that Doohan is getting all the testing milage this year. Maybe Albon could go to the Vcarb team in 2026 because if there would be a seat empty in Red Bull, because either Perez would leave or Max , Sainz will probably take it. Or maybe even to Mercedes of Russell would leave the team but that's unlikely to happen
With the explosion that are the incredibly dangerously fast McLarens and Ferraris, I think Red Bull is going to want someone more than just capable of bringing home points for them for WCC. They’re gonna want someone who can go toe to toe with the Scarletts and Papayas, hold them back, and defend Max if need be. Carlos Sainz is better suited for that than Perez.
I get your reasoning for antonelli to merc however my money is on albon. Watch everyone be wrong though and zhou or someone else random goes to merc lol
I think williams will get antonelli, mercedes might bump up schumacher for at least a season, unless they can sign sianz or a better driver. Ricciardo might get the boot at VCARB, Yuki will stay at VCARB until 2026. Redbull will stay the same, same with mclaren, and aston martin, and probably alpine. Other then that i havent decided. My list will change most likely in a few races.
Crazy thought, what if Kush Maini has a chance at the second Alpine seat? Of course, I have some bias towards him as he is the current star from India but if you do see F2, He is insane right now. If he keeps up the consistency and challenges for the title throughout 2024. There is a possibility of seeing a return of an F1 Indian driver, someone hopefully with a lot of talent and prospects. Of course, a lot of pieces have to fall in the right place such as victor struggling and Alpine failing to secure other options (the latter has a high chance of happening) but a 2025 or 2026 seat for K.Maini isn't out of realm of possibility
Yeah it’s a bit of a shame … what other choices would he have though? Redbull is essentially a no-go because he’s going to be Max’s fallback until Max leaves, and he’s only leaving if the car is slow. So he’s in a rock and a hard place. Mercedes could do well in 2026 but it probably doesn’t look appealing to him because he’d have to weather 2025, and Mercedes is looking an awful lot like Ferrari 2022 now hahahaha. Same with Audi. Genuinely, I hope Lewis breaks the ferarri contract, given Mercedes has stepped in as a contender for the last half of the season, and ferarri is slipping.
So basically the two drivers who are actually floundering and choking in F2 are getting F1 drives next year? And then we complain when we have guys like Stroll, Zhou, Sargent etc on the grid.. the FIA should make a new rule that only those who finish top 3 in F2 can move to F1
Carlos may well be the best available driver but he most certainly does not have the best available father, at least not as far as Jos is concerned. So unless Red Bull Racing wants to splurge on an extra motorhome with a padded cell where the two of them can duke it out, this ain't gonna happen. 😉
The only drivers that have shown they absolutely don't deserve a seat next year are Zhou, KMag, and Stroll. Logan I still know has talent, he was on par with Oscar; one went to Williams one went to McLaren. Logan needs a fair shake, a developable car, team backing, because his issues are confidence issues. Yuki to AMR is the absolute best move they could make because he's establishing himself on that driver hierarchy. Sainz to RB, Danny and Liam at VCARB, Bottas to partner Ollie at Haas. Kimi Antonelli can wait, if he's so generational he can show it in F2. Ocon probably stays at Alpine though wish it were Gasly. Maybe Ocon hits Merc instead to partner Russell. Kimi has talent no doubt, but sacking Logan, shirking rules and filing waivers to get him to Williams isn't the move. Let him EARN his seat through competition not fast track days. I hope Williams stands pat tho.
Why would redbull let go checo? He is 2nd best driver in the world championship and now he is 2nd but better and pushing to get near max to beat him, sad how checo gets hate and is expected to leave. Carlos sad he got sacked but he is to Whiney and although he is good he doesn’t always deliver, Daniel is done he is getting owned by yuki and Daniel should leave to make way for another driver like laweson and stroll needs to leave

I am sorry but right now Sainz >>>>>>>>>> Lecrec and Hamilton right now
He is absolutely flying so far this season
No Honda support Yuki will fade slowly
Kmag is going to williams. Mark this
Ocon Update after Monaco.
Hes jobless...lol
There is no void left by Hamilton, George is better 😂
Why would redbull let go checo? He is 2nd best driver in the world championship and now he is 2nd but better and pushing to get near max to beat him, sad how checo gets hate and is expected to leave. Carlos sad he got sacked but he is to Whiney and although he is good he doesn’t always deliver, Daniel is done he is getting owned by yuki and Daniel should leave to make way for another driver like laweson and stroll needs to leave
Valtteri, its james
i think danny will stay because after china and Miami today it looks like it was the chasis
Nah, Perez will retire from F1 is he cant extend his RedBull contract
Stay away from opinions and look at data, then tell me how Sainz is better than Perez
Ric, Sargeant, Kevin and Stroller OUT
Ricciardo sacked immediately, Norris /Stroll swap , Yuki to Haas , Sainz to.alpine , Milcruft to Mercedes, Gasly to Audi , Alonso to Moto Gp ,

Aston Martin needs second decent driver unfortunately Lance is awful driver not FI material
Riccardo is finished
I want to see Stroll go, man cant drive a 60mph car under neutralised safety car period. Basically he is worse than normal humans we are more alert driving at 75 to 90 mph on state highways.
Ferrari gonna implode in 2025 neither leclerc or hamilton are gonna bow to each other and become the number 2 driver, they going to be fighting amongst themselves never mind fighting anyone else on the track, 2 big racing ego's means trouble on track
3 Doritos later 😂 wrong again.
about 18th in the f2 standings and 7th in a ferrari he should have been 4th behind charles !!!
Ricciardo sacked immediately,.lets go lance
Why is sainz an upgrade ? His last year performer's was not that good and this year he has only a couple of good races just like perez did last year.
I really dont understand the way he gets talked about, like he is a verstappen or something .
THIS IS WHAT THE 20205 DRIVER LINEUP SHOULD BE
RED BULL - Max Verstappen, Carlos Sainz
FERRARI - Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton
MERCEDES - George Russel, Alex Albon
MCLAREN - Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri
ASTON MARTIN - Fernando Alonso, Yuki Tsunoda
WILLIAMS - Logan Sargeant, Kimi Antonelli
SAUBER - Niko Hulkenberg, Valterri Bottas or Daniel Riccardo or Zhou Guanyu
VCARB - Liam Lawson, Ayumu Iwasa
HASS - Oliver Bearman, Valterri Bottas or Daniel Riccardo or Zhou Guanyu
ALPINE - Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon
Carlos has said multiple times he wants a winning car and having Max there won't stop him. He's definitely signing the Red Bull contract.
Yeahhhh about that...
