- months ago I got an amazing deal on a car that arguably is a great addition to my extremely small collection (for now) what I got was a spacious, reliable, comfortable, timeless, MANUAL daily for 1000 dollars. an utocross is being held in my area which I've done in the z before, due to db restrictions and me having a whole nother car that easily passes the db test, I decided I'd take my daily and autocross that. first half of the video is working on the car and breaking in the brake pads I'll be using - the carbotech xp10's. the 2nd half is strictly walking over the car and discussing plans and places foe the car.

1000$ is wild, I just sold a set of those 2 piece style 42 wheels for 1300$

How and why is simply because it was presented to me for 1000 dollars flat, smogged the same day and registered for remainder of the year by previous owner. I took the deal becuase I can't lose on it and it ended up just being a good fit for me in being a reliable, comfortable, and not average daily driver. As for m52 cars I'm not super well versed in bmw engines in general so I don't really have an opinion on m52 cars, this e39 is my first introduction to any sort of bmw ownership
So cheap! Here in Portugal, it at least €5000 if you can find any petrol one... Great car though, have one, enjoy it a lot. Miss 6 speed.

Cars like this should be kept 100% original, they just looks less good and loose value with aftermarket crap. "carbon fiber mirrors"..lol man, to the trash !
100% original these cars aren't much to write home about for people that enjoy a driving experience. Mirrors dont ruin a car...
@@limestonemax9949 I have a 530 and the car is better slightly modified, especially suspension because the stock ride height is super high. Also the stock 16" wheels that came for these cars are ugly in my opinion and changing them to 18- 19" upgraded mpars or aftermarket wheels is better. For these cars in America today you need to get some type of drink holder mod if you daily it cause it is a big improvement over the original ones that are crappy. If your a car person the exhaust is another mod you want to do so in all 100% stock is not the way to go, maybe for a 540i or M5
My work done to my car so far is a set of 18" mpars, bc racing br coils, strut bar, plan to space my wheels as well and do a dinan exhaust but how do you get away with 5% tint in Cali cause I know i cant there
@connor530i I have the cupholder mod as well I forgot to mention it, yeah these cars are good but not for me completely stock, handling improvements made it car better for me, looking into getting a different exhaust so i can actually hear the engine a bit more. As for the tint from what I've read cops can't pull you over only for tint they need to have suspicion you're doing something, ive passed tons of cops and they didn't bat an eye but one cop saw me and pulled me over, all he gave me was a warning probably because he knew he couldn't pull me over only for tint and that's the only issue I've had with it. The tint is worth it to me
