New drop is here! evolvedgarage.com/ What did you guys think of the Evo X build?
Any rubbing issues with the 265's? You made it look like a very gently used car... great job, man.
Bro what is your gear knob? Looks so firee !!! Do let me know
Very clean
Super cool
Japanese gemstone 💎
90's kids will appreciate of this legendary cars, among that time Evo is a rally legend with 4G63T engine that's a beast ahead of the time and the engine changed on Evo X, best part of Evo X is Evo X Final Edition that considered rare and the best show of the time bringing Evo, GTO, FTO is Jacky Chan (Thunderbolt) and Ekin Cheng (Legend of Speed)
My wife and I got a 2008 Evo X a couple months ago because we have a baby on the way and needed a car with a usable back seat; we've been working on getting it fixed up and un-clapped-out since the previous owners were definitely closer to teenagers than not. It feels like a car with a lot of charm, we've really been enjoying tinkering with it and fixing up some of the broken bits, and your series here is definitely providing a lot of inspiration for where the car might end up!
I had an 08 evo gsr. I traded it for a 4 runner. Someday id like to get another evo😊
Perfect 4 door car for any evo enthusiast! I like the fact that it's a big bigger than the Evo 8 even on the inside! I'm glad I can give some inspo on your build! Good luck and if you need anything don't hesitate to reach out!
Get another one you know you miss it!!
@@ChrisGoorbarry Its not really bigger than a Evo 7-8-9 interior actually. the legroom in the rear of Evos 7-8-9 is over 3 inches spacier. the moderized roof style of the evo X is sleaker and slimmer withsmaller windows to get with the times of the era too
@@neilmanahon1485 bro living life
The fact that you went the extra mile to clean all the reused parts before you put them back in just makes my day!
whoever girl buys this automatic transmission car will probably not even notice
That friend with the engine sitting on the shelf is the unsung hero
The look on your face once the car turned on says it all, every car person who’s ever been deep into a project knows the feeling of accomplishment.
Wow! I've clicked this video honestly with 0 expectations, and all I found was pure gold, the just amount of explanation, detail, videography, the whole video was an journey to watch the 30 minutes!
I got my first car. a second hand 2013 Lancer EX car with 90k Kilometers on it. Its my childhood dream to own a Lancer evo. I feel so happy watching this video. there's a happiness in me that I cant explain seeing people putting so much effort to their cars.
the videography is superb!
Thank you so much man!
Bro i just recently finished watching your vid were u restored the Red Evo 8, now u upload this is insane timing, love how u do restorations bro 🔥
Damn that’s perfect timing! lol it’s like finishing a Netflix season and a new one just came out lol thank you man 🙌🏼
One of the greatest tragedies of the high performance motoring world is how Mitsubishi completely threw out their top class performance pedigree of the Lancer evo series
Lol their business wasn't sustainable, they had too many sportscars too. It has nothing to do with how they threw out the evo (I own a CT9A btw), it's how horrible their business practices were in the 2000s. They are at a much better position now.
Just saw an STI rebuild from a popular channel that was done by multiple people. You doing this aaaalllllllll of this work from cleaning the old parts to filming this, together with your girl, seeing your reactions about given situations, makes this so enjoyable to watch. You know your stuff man. Makes me think wth i've been doing with my life. Hope this channel get's minimum 10x the subscribers you have now.
Those ending shots tho ❤
Area Look familiar? lol see you soon bud!
14:20 ❤❤❤❤❤Man I almost cried here. Starting the engine after ten years. And all your hard work to build it. It's like landing on Mars for the first time.l for me. thanks for sharing. love from south of Brazil
Bro this is not a video!! This is a movie masterpiece!! Im so inspired even i don't have a car i feel like i had. Soon i will buy my own car and i will return to this comment and tell to you that i achieve my goal.
Appreciate it bro! You got this! Looking forward to it!!
The Hard Work Paid Off! 100/100
Greetings all the way from Trinidad and Tobago. As a former owner of a Mitsubishi Evolution IV and the current owner of a couple of Mitsubishi Galant VR-4s, I really applaud the job well done bro!! Those are the kinds of projects I love seeing. Keep doing your thing!!!
Dat is it🤟🏿
Appreciate the support all the way from Trinidad and Tobago! I’m glad you like it. 🙌🏼
That’s some serious commitment. So happy for the final product. As a spare parts company owner I’ve sold engines which have sat over 5 to 10 years at our store, purchased and replaced by customers which starts first try once the proper installation is done (speaking about Japanese engines).
Hmmm great question I don't really know but a lot
Oh my gosh, it’s ASMR for Evo fans! Thank you! Hope all Evo‘s will have an owners like you!
So glad you gave this a new life. The last great Mitsubishi ever built.
This car is head turner. Timeless. And you did a really great job. Detailed matters. Kudos!
The fact you were able to restore the paint, even with the scratches and dings still a bit visible (which I think gives it character), is awesome. The amount of content that you were able to compress into a 30min video, and still be able to tell your journey, is amazing. Great job!!
Appreciate that! I love the character of the scratches as well. Quite the story! Thank you for watching!
This passion and attention to detail deserves awards
Thank you man!
I'm so happy you start off by washing the car. Giving new life to an old car is just pure joy and excitement.
Absolutely loved the video. Respect to your passion and dedication. And the fact that your lady helps is an added plus. I'm a VW/Audi guy but my friend in Miami is an Evo dude to the bone. Forwarding this to him. Thanks for the smiles & God bless!
Man, this is art. As an Evo x owner, this brought me so much joy to watch. Subscribed.
I’m so glad you guys kept a oem+ look
Let me start by first commending you on how professional and detailed oriented you are in your videos. I really enjoy your journey from stat to finish with your Evo’s. Keep it up Kid👍🏽
Even though this was a fast forwarded version of the full rebuild series, I did not enjoy any less. Why on earth would somebody abandoned such a beautiful piece of machinery. I really love what you do Chris well done
Why? Money.
This is a crazy video man, like wow the technical expertise, the attention to detail, the dedication, hats off to you.
we all just big boys who wanted cool toys like these..😍
FACTS!!
dude the level of love you've shown the evo x is amazing you are someone who is really talented there should be more youtubers like you who actually show love to these cars amazing work i hope your channel grows a lot thank you
As a BMW owner I must say this was very satisfying to watch. Great content💯
Thank you! I need a BMW project soon!
Fantastic work, commitment and love has gone into this. It's obvious how much you really care about what you're doing. Excellent work with the video and sound editing as well, playlist has a brilliant mix of genres and everything fits perfectly. Well done!
Amazing Chris, as an Evo X FE owner this extreme makeover gave me chills.
Thanks man! Glad you liked it!
This was a real Need for Speed type thrill when you parked the car in the final take. Mind blowing! That was absolutely captivating and worth a watch till the end. Great music throughout this video. Thanks.
I really felt the joy/relief when the car started after switching the plugs. congrats bro
Man, I love the way you’re handling the car with so much love and care-and most importantly, patience. Love it!
Never get in the way of someone with a passion. Great video and final reveal!
Thank you bro!
Brooo that video made emotional
One of the best video rn ,the editing the music choice, the styling ...just perfect
Such a great car! Awesome video! Keeping the old stuff alive is no easy task.
This video came on my recommended. I put it and watched it. The moment when the 'new' engine starts is very emotional. Eyes teared up and i subscribed. Dub content man. This is one of those videos that shows how cars are not just gears and metals but full with soul.
Awesome restore blog, broham!!! Keep it up!!! BTW, I just got back my Evo too after 2 years of waiting for repairs. LOL 💀💀💀
Hands down, this is the best restoration I've ever seen. It's clean and precise. In my opinion, it even surpasses the documented restorations.
I've never understood how people can leave one of the 4 legendary cars like that. Spura, Nissan r34, Mazda RX7, and the Evo X
But! I'm so glad there are people like you who put in the time and effort.
thank you for saving her. i own a phantom black evo x my self and it's my dail driver. she's a trea to drive. i suggest getting a oem air filter box, especially that funnel passthrough to the box actually serves a purpose of redirecting airflow.
I need to work on that for sure! Thanks for watching!
Chills bro!!! Always a great job!!
The ending was absolutely amazing 🤩
Thanks a ton bro!!!
i legit got a little tear jerky after seeing that car come back to life like that. Truly masterpiece work. Congratulations 👏👏👏
Devin Niemala would approve this 😎
Fantastic video. Great job 👏🏿👏🏿
Mitsubishi really dropped the ball with the Evo and the Pajero. They should have maintained these two giants. Great cars.
Greetings from Uganda 🇺🇬👊🏿🖤
Love when cars get a second chance, amazing work amigo 👌🏼
Thanks Ozzie!
I hope this was a Red Evo X GSR, but your contents deserve our love. Thank you for making this awesome content... 🥰🥰🥰🙏🏻🙏🏻
professional work loved it, keep doing your thing!
Thank you man!
This makes me want to join the evo club. I saw one in my range and came to see what the community was up to. Great resto. 💯
Welcome! You should totally get one!
my daily driver looks more abandoned than this
Real 😂
Should look after you ride better then
I'm From India And There's No Way I Can Get A Lancer EvoX , But It Was My Childhood Dream To Own A EvoX , From Asphalt Days 😂. But Yes , You Did Soothe My Soul Restoring That Baby ❤
As a Wrx owner, I enjoyed this video...I'm happy for you and your success, car looks brand new...just the love of JDM will always be different and have mutual respect...God Bless..
Thanks man! I need to do a subi soon! God bless!
South African, here.. Good job on restoring that lady to her former glory!.. There lots of 'em here in SA!..
If the previous owner of this car saw this clip, he’d definitely want it back.
What a good job! Luckily there are people who like to recover the soul of great cars and make their essence last over time. Hopefully we'll see an EVO XI on the roads again! Greetings from Spain.
Would you sell that car?
Yes. Email me at chrisgoorbarry@gmail.com
Man this video was awsome. you gave soo much love and respect to that evo in bringing it back to life. your smile when it cranked over showed how much it it meant to you. respect from Australia.
The music was extremely annoying
This is one of the greatest videos i've seen on YT this year. Amazing stuff! I've been wanting to build an Evo X from scratch, but I had the opportunity to get a W204 C63 this year. Hopefully I get to do the Evo next year.
Currently working with my first Evo ever, an 08 GSR in white, something I've been dying to have for years now. I remember pestering my old coworkers like 6-7 years ago telling them I was gonna own an evo some day hahahah they never believed me but I pulled up to the restaurant after buying it one day and showed it off 😂
That last 20 seconds of your dialogue is very much appreciated 👍🏻, the complete video you lived , is a dream!
Great video!!! The EVO is a timeless classic that is extinct now. Im so glad you were able to revive the EVO X! Giving life to a classic! Mitsubishi please revive the EVO platform and give us a EVO XI!! Enjoy it!
it would turn into an EV crossover.
@ LOL 🤣 Mitsubishi dropped the ball on that one…
This is insane in a great way, this is my dream car and I currently try to build my first and only car , a HR G35. Part of me felt bad it’d never be as good as this video then that last line you said before ending video changed it. Amazing vid!!
At 17:22, a Pajero/Montero on the other side of the road nodded.
Good job buddy. Super inspiring!
Love the Evo's since GT3 and save money for my personal X since nearly 10 years now. Here in Germany the prices for good one are at about 40-50.000€. I hope to find a good one which is not so expensive until August 2026 when I turn 40. The X would be no racer but 100% cruiser on the weekend! 😊 Have very very much fun with yours!
Your level of detailed cleaning is refreshing to see. So many resto vids do a superficial cleaning and its lazy. Well-done.
Thank you!
This is the first video I have caught of yours, the attention to detail and multitude of skills you exhibit are awesome.... if you do the video edits too then you've just got everything dialled bro!
WOW.... I watched this video expecting it to be from like 2020 or something, but it's from yesterday! Evo Xs are one of my dream cars (ofc its impossible to have 1 dream car) and this video made me want one even more. Great work, you've earned a sub.
just wow. I love how the transition of the before and after matches with the piano! 🔥🔥🔥
I never realized how much brown/purple are in the phantom black. What an amazing color when it is cleaned up. I had a white one that eventually grenaded because of the previous owner didn't have overboost protection with their tune. Coupled with the timing chain stretching and cylinder 3 was toast.
Great storytelling! You not only pay great attention to detail with your car but also have very good video quality. I enjoyed the music edits, but what made me stay was the honesty and clarity of your voice and the feelings you can evoke in the viewer when that engine starts. We all celebrated.
Damn dude thank you for this means a ton!
Amazing work. The fact that you cleaned everything is what I enjoyed the most. Too many ppl just gloss over that. That little attention to detail is what sets you apart. Also, if you don't mind me asking, how much did everything cost?
Thank you man and honesltly lost count towards the end lol
Phenomenal job, you gave restoration a whole new meaning with this build.
Watching my dream car get built always get me in my feels! I'm even more motivated to work hard where I could also do this in the future.
You got this!!!!! Put your head down and do it!
Truly spectacular job. The best feeling is looking at the car knowing it's that handsome because YOU did the work.
Great job! Just a great job!!
Someone is building Evo...
I spent 4 days doing brake maintenance on the Lancer X, periodically thinking how difficult it would be to service Evo brakes :)
I'm glad i found your channel came through my swipe! Now that a OCPD Car Enthusiast 🤩
Who would abandon an Evo?! Thank you for saving it man. You just made my day by every detail and parts cleaned so well. I love those wheels man, and your background music selection just gave the right vibes looking through your hard built man. Enjoy it! Cheers from Malaysia 🇲🇾 buddy
Something about the engine cranking, then firing is so emotional! Nice video, and thanks for saving a car worth saving!
This was 🔥, I love the work and dedication you put into this build. Hopefully ill get to see your evo one day at a car event in FL.
I had a Lancer 2003, then a 2009, and I'm working to get an Evo. Awesome video bro! congrats and thanks for sharing
Thanks man, that's the dream!
im in the works of restoring my lancer that sat on a farm for years. talk about restoration!!! i pray i get to this level man.
Love the detail in capturing the whole story, yet keeping it at a good forward pace! you have a talent in both car restoration AND storytelling 👏
This is art!!! I adore you passion making it look brand new again!
this is one of the best production videos of car builds I've seen so far I appreciate the dedication, most just half-ass it .stunning end results!
I would like to congratulate you on a job beautifully done. The result is a complete reflection of your hard work, dedication and attention to detail. I am an older man and it does my heart a world of good to see a young man like yourself put that kind of pride into a project.
I hope this work is something that brings you much success!
Finally, a guy who knows the definition ofwhat a car and immaculate is. EVO😎❤️
I love a clean freak when it comes to restoring cars. Top job dude 👏
This thing looks better than the day it left the factory. Showroom ready, amazing, amazing work.
I really liked the hard work behind this car. A lot of efforts you took behind this wheel. congo for the entire team behind this video and the automotive parts to them as well.
WOW, Just wow... The amount of effort you put in this car to revive and restore I am speechless man, You definitely deserve it all from this beauty Evo X 💖💯
I'm impressed with both the skills you demonstrated with rebuilding your car and with you video production skills. Both left me inspired, entertained, and wanting more. Thank you for sharing your passion with us. And congratulations on one amazing Evo!
посмотри что такое настоящая реставрация, а это просто замена комплектующих и детейлинг
absolute fire! really felt the tension when you were hoping for a crank after the engine swap. really like this video sir, you earned a new subscriber
i love how your gf/wife was cheering and rooting for you when the engine worked! awesome job bro
The Mitsu Evolution is always one of my favs...Nice Job! What was the total hours in real time?
Thanks bro for the restoration.... Absolutely gorgeous 😍😍😍😍😍
Great work. Sold my evo X years ago and miss it everyday.
This was amazing, hope this reaches Mitsubishi. Your passion is astonishing. Wish i had the knowledge and resources to do 1% to my outlander
