I'm confused. Why the foam cannon? I haven't read the bottle for either but I'm pretty sure they say to spray onto a dry wheel. Wouldn't diluting it effectively ruin that?
Hi Jared. You can apply to the wheel “dry” with good results, however we find that using the foam cannon means that product is applied really evenly and gets in all of the really hard to reach areas at the back of the wheel/calliper due to the high water pressure. We still occasionally spray straight up on the wheel, however this process adds lots of product and lubrication to the wheels and works pretty effectively.
As for what is says on the back of the packet..... as from memory..... both products do not mention using it in a foam cannon. Since brake buster it rather foamy we thought we would see how they work in a foam cannon. Turns out brake buster works rather well. Meguiars Ultimate Wheel cleaner didn't.
Brake buster can actually be diluted as high as 10:1 and works great in foam sprayers. That’s one of its great selling points is that a gallon will last forever when diluted down in a foam gun. When diluted down into a normal spray bottle it doesn’t do as well because it loses its foam effects and just drips off of the wheel.
So..which was best?
We’re a mixed opinion on these, for compatibility with a foam gun definitely Brake Buster, for spraying straight up if you’re after the really cool purple reaction Ultimate All Wheel Cleaner.
Let's talk really low.... then BAM pressure washer
Apologies for that! We always try our best to level out audio.
No need to agitate the Megs with that light of dirt on that wheel. Spray on, spray off.
👍
So why is the microphone focused on the spray bottle and power washer instead of being near your face and lips.
I mean your voice can barely be picked but i can hear every little squeeze of that spray bottle.
Sorry for the poor audio through some parts of the video - it’s quite tough with a directional microphone while using a pressure washer (it’s extremely loud and we do have to play with audio levels). Check out some of our more recent videos, we are doing our best to make improvements each week. Thanks!
Get better foam cannons.
Nothing wrong with the Meguiars Snow Foam Cannon - it foams great, is relatively inexpensive and can be found at most stores.
We’ve also tested out the MTM PF22.2 on the channel, you may be interested in checking that out.
@@OmniGarage the video says they are Karcher foam guns and they like it too.
