Down Under Garage most of his products that he recommends are really good. He doesn’t sell or recommends bs products that aren’t going to do the job. His products that he recommends are mostly for well maintained daily or stored vehicles. Obviously off road vehicles that need to be cleaned are completely different than a daily driver
@Cristian I can’t agree with you more. Pan says every products is good and bases everything off of a one time use. No way he can tell what products are good with everything he “tests” he seems very fake to me. He is doing it more for the money because he will never say anything bad about a product. I would never take his advice on any product at all. His videos are the same thing over and over.
I always apply to a dry wheel, not wet. Seems to work better. When you apply water first, the product just sits on top of the water. Never gets to the actual dirt and grime. And always do this to a cool wheel. Personally, the best wheel cleaner is sonax. For me I've cleaned 2yr old baked on brake dust from a chrome rim and worked great! Elbow grease and patients is needed but sonax is the real deal and acid free. Thanks for the vid!
Yeah I know to get the most of the products it’s good to spray directly without rinsing. However on our jobs I always rinse everything down first including tires and wheel to knock off heavy stuff then spray to clean and so on. But you’re right, if you don’t rinse first it’s probably a little better. 😎👍🏼
Love Megs wheel Brightener! Can't beat the cost of a gallon and love how quickly it works. A tip I figured out to help with the trigger issue is to take the sprayer off the bottle after the last wheel, dunk the end of the tube in my wheel bucket of soapy water, and pump the trigger a bunch to flush the soapy water through it. Then, I put the sprayer back on the bottle and it seems to store fine!
Brake buster is a great wheel and tire cleaner that is safe on all wheels it’s also a terrific value combo it with ik foamer and dilute 5-1 you get 6 gallons of product that works for like $20
I never used the wheel brightner . I want to I just not sure about all the rims I could or couldn’t use it on . Use the heck out of p and s. Recently started using it in a old foam cannon . Awesome .. try it you will love it .
No prob man. As long as the wheels are clearcoated and not a bare metal it’s completely safe. Not many vehicles now have un-clearcoated wheels. Plus I only use it when absolutely necessary on really heavy brake dust that may be baked on. Otherwise stick with P&S. Just have Wheel Brightener as a backup.
I finally gave try P@S brake buster. I was previously using APC from dollar tree LA's APC. I now have brake buster. I put in separate foam Canon from gallon full strength and use 1:1 in spray bottle. Use foam from foam Canon first and then spray with spray bottle on tires. U can see brown stuff pulling from tires. I like brake buster and it has rust inhibitors. Plus my rotors doesn't get rust after drying.
I've never used Meguiars acid-based products to clean wheels but looks as if it does work pretty good. Not a fan of heavy smelling and/or harsh chemicals that you have to be extra cautious when using to avoid overspray or getting it in your eyes or skin, which we all know happens all the time. I have been using P&S now for the past year and think it's the best all-around wheel and tire cleaner and works amazingly. Love that it can be diluted and put in a variety of spray bottles or sprayers and not have to worry about it being a chemical resistant bottle or clogging tips. I may have to try the Meguiars detailer line products and see what works. I interested in that citrus one.
Great video Phil as usual. Both are great cleaners. Brake buster I look at as maintenance washes and delicate wheel. Megs for when you need the extra punch!. One tip thats worked for me with megs WB is always flush the nozzle with water when your done as it does destroy them otherwise lol
I use wheel brightener as well. And love it, I have have to caution on my anodized struts, wheel brightener will cause rotors to rust. 7:20 but I do like P&S which has a rust inhibitor and doesn’t cause rust on the rotors.
Possibly. But it’s just rotors. They rust even if it’s driven through water. We just don’t see it becasue we use the brakes and the rust comes off before we get a chance to see it.
Nice video man! I looove both products. They both have there uses. Wheel Brightner is amazing. BB is amazing and can tackle some.pretty tough jobs. Love that you can dilute both and make a gallon last you👍👍
Hey Phil, in complete agreement with you on the two wheel cleaners. BB looked like it had real promise from people that reviewed it. Got some and was lacking in my opinion. Meguiar's WB, yeah that has some punch for wheels that need something stronger. I'm with you, save WB for wheels that need more kick and BB for wheels that aren't badd off. I'm trying to use less acid based wheel cleaners, but hard to not use them cause they really work well. I bought Auto-Fanatic's wheel cleaner that I'm going to test, looks very promising. I'll let you know how it goes. Keep up the great vids!
Hi. The Megs wheel brightener is an acid based cleaner and not really good to use all the time. Once the wheels are clean use a strong sealant to protect them and it makes cleaning them easier the next time.
I've been using Wheel Brightener for the last 10 years. Shit is strong so be careful not to inhale too much of it LOL. Even at 4:1, still incredibly strong. Sure as hell does eat up those trigger sprayers though.
I used to get the same issues with triggers on MWB. So i took out the tube from non working sprayer and once I'm finish with a working sprayer i just swap them around. Put a mark on the non functional one just as an extra reminder. The working one gets rinsed, dried and stored for next use.
I use wheel brightener for any car that i havent washed before because they're usually pretty bad. I have started using eagle one black and plasti dip on the wheels because its pretty strong yet safe.
Hi. Yes you are correct, when they are done correctly powder coated wheels can take acid based cleaners. I have done a few however that where not done very well and they caused some issues. I guess I always err on the side of caution with those
Hi. Yea you can because usually factory black gloss is clear coated. But don’t use wheel Brightener if you don’t need to. Only use it on really bad wheels.
Hey Phil, Meguiar's Wheel Brightener states to dilute as much as 4:1. In your experience, what is the maximum strength you have used with this product? Have you ever needed to use it undiluted?
Would be an interesting duel, meguiar's D140 vs meguiar's Hot Rims Chrome Wheel Cleaner G19124 !. Both in acid version, but hot rims chrome is even more acidic (sds 2 ~ 3), and D140 (sds 4.5 ~ 5.5). For powerful cleaning chrome hot rims must be impressive considering the performance of D140!
These are my go to wheel cleaners right now, both quite economical and dilutable. Nice to have both, Brake Buster is a really good maintainence cleaner, safe on all wheels if you’re very unsure, and with those rust inhibitors always leaves the rotors looking good too. Wheel Brightener is just awesome when you need to melt off the brake dust and bits of fallout and need it done in record time! Besides those I always keep a bottle or two of Sonax wheel cleaner with me just to have as back up.
Nice video and honest comparison! It is scary how some products eat away at sprayers. I use Royal Brown and haven't been able to find anything to beat it yet.
Nice video. Brake Buster is fantastic cleaner for light to moderate grime. Great value as well. For heavy baked on brake dust(especially in barrels), I'd use something stronger.
Are wheels painted like car paint? People tend to not brush was their cars, but have no issue using brushes on black painted wheels. Always wondered about that. Do you like wheel woolies? Wonder why they don't make wheel woolies made out of microfiber?
Yes they are painted and clear coated like paint but they often need much more cleaning then the paintwork and that’s why we have to clean them more aggressively. I used wheel woolies before and they work ok but some wheels need more aggressive cleaning with brushes.
Thanks...When I come across non coated aluminum wheels I don't use the acid based cleaner. But I haven't come across any uncoated wheels in a long time.
Just me Do you know if they are coated or not? You can tell by using a little polish on a microfiber towel and rubbing it on the wheel. If the towels turns black it means you have uncoated aluminum. I would NOT use wheel brightener on them. The Brake Buster is safe to use on those.
Once a year I spray on wheel brightener and wipe my entire car. It's an awesome decontamination process. I don't let it touch plastics though. Those stubborn water spots etched into glass. Boom...gone!
I used to have that problem also until I switch to the. Zep chemical resistant bottles work great for wheel brightner and the spray nozzle will not clog up.
Same here. The Marolex Spray bottles seem to be really chemical resistant. I have had super clean diluted 1:3 in the foamer for months and it still works perfectly.
HI Yes I have used the Megs Non Acid Wheel and Tire Cleaner, I feel its the same as the P&S Brake Buster in my opinion. Both great wheel and tire cleaners
I’ve never tried Meg’s. I’ve gone through two gallons of BB which I think is good. I think Adam’s has a bit more punch and is certainly quicker to remove tire grime.
Was zero interested in wheel cleaners, but like your videos so watched any way. I use whatever wheel cleaner I can run in off the street and just pick up at auto parts store. I can understand how important this would be to a pro though.
Thanks man! Yeah I guess for myself and Detailers that’s come across so many different scenarios we need to have different options depending on what we come across. Thanks! 😎👍🏼
Oh yeah totally. In fact acid wheel cleaners are clear coat safe also. What you need to be careful of is non clear coated, bare aluminum, anodized, and powder coated surfaces. Those can be damaged by acid cleaners. But clear coat can handle pretty much anything.
Just like everybody is saying that heavily caked brake dust will need something stronger than just non acid wheel cleaner. I enjoy using non acid on rims that don’t have much caked on brake dust. The only thing that sucks about using acid rim cleaner is that they are dangerous if you don’t know if the rims are coated or not
@@thatredcam most of the older cars don’t have coated rims. A lot of the newer cars comes with clear coats (why it’s shiny) and using acid cleaners for long periods of times can strip the coating off. It’s okay to probably use it once a year to deep clean the rims but not to be used for every car wash. I have heard stories of how strong acid wheel cleaners have ruined clear coats on rims because they were using it for long periods of time
New vehicles today mostly have clear coated wheels. It’s the same clear coat as your paint just sometimes thinner. So you can use acid cleaners with no problems. But I only use acid based cleaners on really nasty wheels. It’s meant as a heavy duty cleaner. Most times a simple all purpose cleaner or degreaser cleaners really well. Acid cleaners don’t strip clear coat of wheels, but I’ve time it can dull the finish. Also you need to work quickly with acid cleaners and don’t let them dry. If used correctly it’s completely fine. Just use some common sense when using any type of strong cleaners. 😎👍🏼
Phil...before buying any expensive professional carpet cleaning chemicals give chemical guys lightning fast stain extractor as a pre-treat and their fabric clean as a overall shampoo a try...I love these products and get very good results with stain removal and odor removal as well...I usually dilute lightning fast 10:1 and fabric clean 20:1 so they last a long time and I extract with onr in my bissel extractor and leaves no residue!
Thanks man! I have the lightning fast stain remover and it does work well and I have also used the fabric clean and it also work well. I actually used the lightning fast on nasty fabric upholstery the other day because it was so bad. It helped but o think the seat were beyond saving. I have that video being edited currently!
Miranda Detailing awesome! The two in conjunction can do some serious cleaning and deodorizing!!! I was highly recommended bonnet pro rocket revive it which if you don’t know is a professional carpet cleaning chemical...it has peroxides and a citrus solvent which are good for carpet cleaning which I’m sure you’re aware of...unfortunately I had some overspray from the product on back window tint from when I was pre-treating seats...bubbles up the tint horribly...I have since quit using it...I like using products that work well but I don’t have to worry about a little overspray!!!
Miranda Detailing also...not to bug you but I’ve been using onr at the clay lube dilution with one oz. of isopropyl alcohol added to the mix in a 32 oz. bottle for a while now and enjoy it as a glass cleaner...it’s so cost effective and just plain works for me...try it out and see what u think!
Hi....Yes it can be used in the paint, but its not a iron and tar remover in that way. I would stick with dedicated products to remove tar and iron. Wheel Brightener is very strong and works well, but use it sparingly. 😎👍
If they are clear coated then yes. But if they are powder coated, anodized, or bare paint then no, I would go with the Brake Buster diluted 1:3 or 1:5.
If they are cutting you really don’t need it. I only use Wheel Brightener on super nasty wheels. But if the brake dust isn’t coming off with a non acid cleaner use a little Wheel brightener diluted at 4:1
I’m a little nervous about using an acid based cleaner on my diamond cut wheels, do you think the wheel brightener would be safe, or does Meguiars offer a non acid version in the professional line up, I basically want to buy it in gallon form for cost affect, I spend a fortune on Maguiars consumer products because I love detailing my car
As long as your wheels are clear coated acid based cleaners don’t harm them. If you are unsure just use brake buster or even Meguiars Super Degreaser 4:1.
I like to use water based dressings for tires, right now I am using Megs Hyper Dressing, I also like CG New Car Shine, since its water based and leaves a nice finish.
It can certainly brake the coating down quicker. But if they are coated there should be no need to use this heavy cleaner on them. I would use the P&S Brake Buster.
I totally use Super Clean still for wheels and tires, but it doesn't remove baked on brake dust, we encounter some horrible wheels that need stronger chemicals like these.
I use bilberry wheel cleaner and for a fallout remover trolls breath in the uk 😁 but now winter has showed up the cars only get cleaned every couple of weeks
Love Meg's. WB but I need to get a good mask. I didn't use one last time and I had the biggest headache ever right after I finished detailing.... It was crazy. Maybe it was a coincidence but I believe it was the chemicals
Yeah that stuff is rough! I have this cool charcoal face mask that seems to work well. I don’t always wear it in the summer because it’s way to hot and can actually effect your oxygen intake. It’s these Activated Carbon Dustproof Dust Mask - with Extra Filter Cotton Sheet and Valves for Exhaust Gas, Anti Pollen Allergy, PM2.5, Running, Cycling, Outdoor Activities (Black+Black, Type 1) www.amazon.com/dp/B0784WDCM4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_PZyYDbCGGEMNC
Pretty much, it’s just a very strong high alkaline cleaner. I’ve found that for heavy brake dust an acid based cleaner like Megs Wheel Brightener is far stronger. Yes we still need to use caution especially if the wheel has some curb rash or damage. But sometimes you have to use some aggressive cleaners to get them clean.
i been using wheel brighter for a year now and it does the job well. i read an article about dangers of acid wheel cleaners and now im scared to use it again
Don't be afraid to use it. Just use it when needed and dilute up to 4:1 and you will be fine. Detailers have been using those cleaners for years. People put out info like that because they may have had a bad experience.
What do you mean acid is out? I compare lots of products in different ranges to give people variety and choice. Plus it helps people to understand the Pros and Cons to each. It’s personal preference to pre rinse or not. Remember to keep your comments non dogmatic. Thanks.
True for these wheels. But I have used just APC and degreaser on really bad wheels and it need more like the wheel brightener. So it all depends on how bad the wheels are and how long the brake dust is on there.
True, that's why people need to research what they need and not arbitrary use a wheel cleaner. If you have protected wheels with either sealants or coatings, there is no need to use strong chemicals. So it all depends on the situation. 😎👍
I use to wash my car every week lmaoo now every month or so 😂 I dont mind detailing every day or week cuz I'm getting paid but when it comes to my car ain't getting paid LOL more of a drag.
Miranda Detailing is what it is. Why i started on the barrel first just incase, its like faded close to white-ish. Be honest i had the wheels for a long time now and i just painted over the spot best i could i matched it pretty well
Your wheels and tires are too well maintained for this to be a valid test. You would have gotten the same results with a mild hand soap. Please up your game cause I love your channel and for a professional to use an acid based cleaner on loose surface dirt as a demo is kinda ridiculous. Thanks for your efforts tho ❤ Peace and love ruclips.net/video/BT6xeEQdIik/видео.html
This was not a really good video on the this. Product comparison was weak.. im sorry but you didnt show the fact you can use the brake buster in a foamer diluted and save a ton of money!!
There are plenty of ways of using the product, this is just one way...thats all....its great that it can be diluted in a foamer...thats just not how I used it in this case. So to each there own...
I would try the iron decon and then acidic wheel cleaner after. If those don’t work the brake dust may have eaten into the wheels and nothing you can do but have them refurbished.
Awesome video. What dilution did you use the wheel brightener at in this video? I ask because I have to get off super hardened baked on brake gunk that is 25 years old and I’m considering using the wheel brightener straight undiluted. What do you think I should do? Thank you!
Came over from Pan The Organizer & finally a professional detailing channel that knows what they’re doing! Definitely deserve way more subs!!
Thank you so much!! We really appreciate it!

I find rinsing out the dispensor nozzle on Mcguire's with hot water once a month, keeps it from clogging up.
Good tip!! I have a video coming out soon on a cool technique for cleaning out triggers.
P/s all the way!!! 16 dollars for a gallon here in the usa its by far the best bang for the buck!!!
It’s $25 now sadly
It’s 30 pounds in uk
Love Megs wheel Brightener! Can't beat the cost of a gallon and love how quickly it works. Thanks for the awesome tip! I use to do that...I forgot about that trick!!! Thanks for sharing!!
Is the megs wheel brightner aggressive in the long term use on alloy wheels?
@@Momo33-n8g 3:1 like he was saying is aggressive. 6:1 or even 8:1 would be perfect for most jobs.
Brake buster is a great wheel and tire cleaner that is safe on all wheels it’s also a terrific value combo it with ik foamer and dilute 5-1 you get 6 gallons of product that works for like $20

Well it’s $20 but you do have to pay shipping. 2wj5Pm5bit.ly/2. Unless you buy a ton of stuff and go over the free shipping amount.

I like P&S but I need to get something to dilute it in because I went through almost 8oz doing my tires and wheels.
I want to follow a touchless wheel cleaning process, could I use Meguiars wheel brightener regularly?
Hi. The Megs wheel brightener is an acid based cleaner and not really good to use all the time. Once the wheels are clean use a strong sealant to protect them and it makes cleaning them easier the next time.
can a wheel brightener be used on OEM rims that are painted black and diamond milled, like the 2020 Honda accord sport?

I'm in the hunt for a good quality acid resistant spray trigger. What's your opinion the marolex acid resistant spray bottle. Great review Phil.🖒
Same here. The Marolex Spray bottles seem to be really chemical resistant. I have had super clean diluted 1:3 in the foamer for months and it still works perfectly.
Have you used the megs non acid wheel cleaner... thoughts on that product..thanks for the vid
HI Yes I have used the Megs Non Acid Wheel and Tire Cleaner, I feel its the same as the P&S Brake Buster in my opinion. Both great wheel and tire cleaners
@@MirandaDetailing thanks for the input
I’ve never tried Meg’s. I’ve gone through two gallons of BB which I think is good. I think Adam’s has a bit more punch and is certainly quicker to remove tire grime.
One thing about wheel brightener is that it will rust your rotors is up in 5 seconds. On the bottle it says not for polished aluminum wheels.
That’s true. It’s strong stuff.
@@MirandaDetailing no matter what rate its cut its strong. Good for water spot removal.
Michael Scott sure is.
Just ordered the Brake Buster and a IK foam sprayer.
Doug Harper great combo
Doug Harper u wont regret it thats all i use save so much money and time!! And u can dilute anything in ik foamer
I got both and prefer bb with a foam.sprayer.
What ratio do you use for BB? Or just use it straight up?
It depends. I used it straight here. But I have also used it 4:1 and it seems to still work great.
@@MirandaDetailing good looking out.
Thanks! 😎👍🏼
Is the Meguiar’s diluted at 4:1 safe for use every week on clear coated wheels on an SUV?
Hi I wouldn’t use it every week. I only use it really bad wheels that need it. I would use a regular wheel cleaner for a weekly wash.
@@MirandaDetailing alright thanks. Would the P&S be a good choice for weekly cleaning then?
Yes definitely. You can even dilute it up to 1:4.
@@MirandaDetailing oh that’s great. Thank you. One last question, is the Wheel Brightener safe on clear coated aluminium?
Yes as long as it’s clear coated it’s total fine. It’s not recommended fro bare aluminum, anodized or powder coated wheels.
Since the P & S is a non acid base cleaner, is it safe using on the clearcoat? (Just thinking out of the box)...
Oh yeah totally. In fact acid wheel cleaners are clear coat safe also. What you need to be careful of is non clear coated, bare aluminum, anodized, and powder coated surfaces. Those can be damaged by acid cleaners. But clear coat can handle pretty much anything.
Can you apply this product meguiars on chrome wire wheels?
Hi. Yes you can. It’s great on chrome wheels!
Just like everybody is saying that heavily caked brake dust will need something stronger than just non acid wheel cleaner. I enjoy using non acid on rims that don’t have much caked on brake dust. The only thing that sucks about using acid rim cleaner is that they are dangerous if you don’t know if the rims are coated or not
How do you know if they are coated or not ?
@@MirandaDetailing there we go. I was looking for the word dull lol
Cool! I’ll give the fabric clean another shot. Thanks man!
Alex Bryan that’s a great tip! I have been trying out a new DIY glass cleaner lately! I’ll be sharing it soon! It’s easy and cheap
Hi Phil. Can Meguiars wheel brightener can be used safe on paint as a chemical decontamination? If so..can remove iron or tar contamination?
Hi....Yes it can be used in the paint, but its not a iron and tar remover in that way. I would stick with dedicated products to remove tar and iron. Wheel Brightener is very strong and works well, but use it sparingly. 😎👍
Miranda Detailing thanks for the answer!I appreciate👍😎
You’re welcome!
Can you use Megs Wheel Brightener in aftermarket rims like Black Rhinos?
If they are clear coated then yes. But if they are powder coated, anodized, or bare paint then no, I would go with the Brake Buster diluted 1:3 or 1:5.
Miranda Detailing how about if they are ceramic coated? Is wheel brightener safe?
If they are cutting you really don’t need it. I only use Wheel Brightener on super nasty wheels. But if the brake dust isn’t coming off with a non acid cleaner use a little Wheel brightener diluted at 4:1
Miranda Detailing okay great! Thanks!
What is your ideal tire shine?
I like to use water based dressings for tires, right now I am using Megs Hyper Dressing, I also like CG New Car Shine, since its water based and leaves a nice finish.
I’m a fan of CG vrp👊🏾
@@mistahpahkah5876 Oh yeah! I have that also!
Will the Meguiares acid based cleaner damage ceramic coated wheels?
It can certainly brake the coating down quicker. But if they are coated there should be no need to use this heavy cleaner on them. I would use the P&S Brake Buster.
The only thing wrong with P&S is they dont have the dilution ratios on their bottles 1gallons ..
Great product review Phil.
Thanks!
Super clean and elbow grease for wheels and tires all the way 🧼
I totally use Super Clean still for wheels and tires, but it doesn't remove baked on brake dust, we encounter some horrible wheels that need stronger chemicals like these.
Do you recommend Wheel Brightener @ 3:1 vs 4:1
Both dilution ratios are fine. I was always used to diluting it’s 3:1. But I’m sure 4:1 will work also
I get the same result with an AP cleaner at a 5 to 1 ratio for less money!
Awesome!
APC can corrode aluminum.
What's the name of the wheel cleaner ?
WOW 🤦♂️
Pple will prob disagree, but, if you install ceramic brake pads u can eliminate 90% of the brake dust on ur wheels 👍
Yeah that’s true. The price of them is what holds people back. Crazy expensive
Awesome video Phil, loved to see both those products in action
I use bilberry wheel cleaner and for a fallout remover trolls breath in the uk 😁 but now winter has showed up the cars only get cleaned every couple of weeks
Great video buddy tfs
This product is getting discontinued so I bought some and came here to see how the maestro uses it!
You mean Megs Wheel Brightener?
@@MirandaDetailing yes, it is going away so I bought a gallon and diluted it 4 to 1 and will try it out like that.
@FredShramovich What?? Why would they do that?! 🤦🏻♂️
Great video
Phil you gotta get a gold trigger, it’s made for acid chemicals. By the same company
I’ll try it again. I had a few before and they froze up on me just like the grey ones. But I’ll try it again. thanks man!
Isn’t the p&s wheel cleaner designed like a acid wheel cleaner with out the acid.
Wheel Brightener for the win!
i been using wheel brighter for a year now and it does the job well. i read an article about dangers of acid wheel cleaners and now im scared to use it again
Don't be afraid to use it. Just use it when needed and dilute up to 4:1 and you will be fine. Detailers have been using those cleaners for years. People put out info like that because they may have had a bad experience.
Nice video.
Adams wheels and tires cleaner
I haven’t tried that yet. You like it?
@@MirandaDetailing I personally do but it gets expensive
Meguires ultimate wheel cleaner does the same at a much cheaper price, I’ve used them all
Bilt hamber is the best money can buy
It does look like awesome stuff! $30 for a liter 😲 If I had a high end shop I would definitely use it!
Miranda Detailing I have a bmwx5 with 20inch alloys 15 pounds for a 1lire use as per directed lasts about 6months and cleans first class product
Robert Russell wow nice! You get a good price on it! Are you using the Bilt Hamber active wheel cleaner?
Miranda Detailing yes and the bilt&hamber snow foam both very good products
you got your shoes at walmart ask me how i know
Totally did. I go through lots of sneakers!
Y compare an acid based vs non acid...?acid is out!also u shouldnt rinse before putting on the p&s
What do you mean acid is out?
I compare lots of products in different ranges to give people variety and choice. Plus it helps people to understand the Pros and Cons to each.
It’s personal preference to pre rinse or not.
Remember to keep your comments non dogmatic. Thanks.
If you're using brushes then any cleaner/degreaser will do the job.
True for these wheels. But I have used just APC and degreaser on really bad wheels and it need more like the wheel brightener. So it all depends on how bad the wheels are and how long the brake dust is on there.
@@MirandaDetailing I agree! 👌🏻👌🏻
Acid is too strong for the ceramic coated wheel
True, that's why people need to research what they need and not arbitrary use a wheel cleaner. If you have protected wheels with either sealants or coatings, there is no need to use strong chemicals. So it all depends on the situation. 😎👍
What tire shine is that
Chemica Guys dressing . amzn.to/3405dxH
I use to wash my car every week lmaoo now every month or so 😂 I dont mind detailing every day or week cuz I'm getting paid but when it comes to my car ain't getting paid LOL more of a drag.
The P&S ruined my satin black wheels. Guess it was a good thing i started in the barrel
What?! Really?! 😳 it’s designed for all wheels. What type of satin coating?
@@MirandaDetailing idk. whatever moto metal uses on their wheels
I’m so sorry to hear that! I guess they may have to put a warning on that cleaner.
Miranda Detailing is what it is. Why i started on the barrel first just incase, its like faded close to white-ish. Be honest i had the wheels for a long time now and i just painted over the spot best i could i matched it pretty well
Probably a good idea to wear safety glasses
I do usually wear my sunglasses doing wheels. 😎👍🏼
Megs is the best.
You need to try it without brushes and compare
🤔
Your wheels and tires are too well maintained for this to be a valid test. You would have gotten the same results with a mild hand soap. Please up your game cause I love your channel and for a professional to use an acid based cleaner on loose surface dirt as a demo is kinda ridiculous.
Thanks for your efforts tho ❤
Peace and love

@@MirandaDetailing ❤️❤️
This was not a really good video on the this. Product comparison was weak.. im sorry but you didnt show the fact you can use the brake buster in a foamer diluted and save a ton of money!!
There are plenty of ways of using the product, this is just one way...thats all....its great that it can be diluted in a foamer...thats just not how I used it in this case. So to each there own...
What do you suggest to use for extremely heavily caked/burnt on brake dust that hasn’t been cleaned in 15 years? Awesome video! 👊
I would try the iron decon and then acidic wheel cleaner after. If those don’t work the brake dust may have eaten into the wheels and nothing you can do but have them refurbished.
@@MirandaDetailing - Thanks brother!
Awesome video. What dilution did you use the wheel brightener at in this video? I ask because I have to get off super hardened baked on brake gunk that is 25 years old and I’m considering using the wheel brightener straight undiluted. What do you think I should do? Thank you!
Hi. I usually dilute 1:3. But you can use it straight on really bad wheels.
@@MirandaDetailing - Thank you!
