Huh, that may be a cheaper alternative to repairing my broken Switch's screen lol
My work around for my psp for years was a video out cable till I finally fixed it last year
Battery pack ruined it for me
Brings back the days of old when we would do this with the OG Gameboy Color.
I remember doing this with the GBA SP. And the screen thing was basically just a magnifying glass. Worked pretty well for its time.
People who like handhelds but cant read small text are gonna love this. I still feel switch games need better accessibility especially for text sizes

Main thing that makes me not super into this, is that it looks like my switch would overheat super easily in that thing.
Imagine it's docked, that's what it's doing.
Meaning it's less strenuous on the switch
@LanceTheDragonMastah the switch can overheat while docked, atleast the older gens do
@@natedagreat95my switch oled does overheat while it's docked. I got a brand new switch oled as a Christmas present from my mom last December. I rarely connect my switch oled to the TV because of that reason.

This reminds me of those gigantic Gameboy accessories where you had to put the whole thing inside huge box with bigger buttons and a magnifying glass for the screen.

So I think the reason for the dog tags is actually because this is an item typically sold at USAF bases at the base exchange-- and companies like to do cheesey thing like that when selling things to airforce bases. This was probably an item that was bought by someone to be resold..... (source: stationed at an afb and was looking at like 20 boxes of them today while checking for a GAEMs portable screen)
Its one of those items that usually doesnt sell because the store buys them in bulk and its a kinda odd accessory.... so it tends to be passed over. Especially because its usually placed near the GAEMs cases... and if youre gonna deploy with your gaming systems, youre probably going to want a GAEMs case instead....

Apparently the screen is 1366x768 according to the reviews, which is why you can see the individual pixels on it. Interesting product, though I'd rather just use my TV.

Hey, great review! What keyboard is that in the background? Is it from a keycap set? If so, what keyboard did you use to go with it?
I did something super similar for myself! I saw portable screens were on sale for like $60 at micro center and picked one up, then got a little portable dock, its not quite handheld but takes less than a minite to setup while on the move!

I really want to play with a larger screen but this product doesn't seem too good from the reviews I read. I found maybe a better protable screen for the Switch but I'm still not sure... I could play on my tablet but the thing is I need the dock, HDMI cable, and power adapter and I also need to use an app that unfortunately has ads and idk if there's an app I can use that doesn't have ads. I also have my laptop but it's sort of the same thing. Does anyone know if there's an easier way for me to play with a larger screen? I'm not really sure if I want to buy this

2 Concerns with this:
1.) How is the airflow to the Switch while it's inside?
2.) Switch notoriously doesn't play nice with third party charge cords. What are the odds of this basically bricking the console the way that those do?
Both of these concerns are an obvious "make it or break it (literally)" deal for me.
What about the heat? if your playing it for hours plugged, will it affect the actual Switch screen? , does it has a nice way to get it cool (avoiding heat)

Looks good. I tried undocked yesterday and had a hard time seeing inside a TOTK cave. (I'm 46, my eyes aren't what they used to be.) Something to ponder for travel, or when I need a backseat display for kiddos.
Have you had a chance to check out the guili kit king kong pro 2 controller for the switch/pc/mac/ios? Its really awesome been using for a year comes with a snug plastic case. :)
something with a buckle that can pass through those straps and be adjusted but also not take a lot of space wound be perfect.

Damn, I love my Fixture Gaming mount. Now I wish I could have scored that Qanba Magnifying Screen when it came out...
I think if we werent so close to the Switch 2, I'd consider this because I just so happen to have a portable charger for laptops(which works with switch) but I'll definitely keep things like this in mind

While I love my Switch, I have a handheld PC now, too. If I wanna play on a bigger screen, then I feel like so many other options are better.

So I went to this game shop a while back and he had what he called the switch heavy, what it was was a Nintendo switch taped to a dock that had a mini generator hooked up to it and duck taped on, he even made it to where the joycons were in the sides aswell, this video makes me see a mini switch heavy XD

My only thing is the vents are covered on your switch so it can overheat. from what ive seen... at least on the Oled model

You can try a v V-mount battery from Smallrig with a belt attachment to power it if you already have one, obviously, getting one exclusively for that purpose is too expensive.
You didn't mention it, and I'm sure that it's not, but is it a touchscreen, or just a flat out monitor, and that's it? Just asking since the Switch Tablet Screen is used so much for that purpose.
similar issue with the Xreal Air needing a power source to power the switch to another display.
It reminds me of the original Game Boy with ALL the accessories attached. All this needs is a shoulder strap, and you're good to go!
You should be able to see what resolution this thing is running in the build in setup menu.
But that aside, did you check if your TV Output Setting in the Switch is set on automatic?
It doesn't make much sense aside the performance, but you can manually change the resolution to 480p, 720p and 1080p.
Automatic should set it on the resolution the TV got, but maybe you can give it a try to manually set it to 1080p and see the outcome.
A Problem i see with the straps is, even if you can use them to fix it onto a seat in front of you, where do you put the battery pack?
With this in mind, you probably also have to carry a longer USB Cord with you, since there are also these little ones.
Overall i think this is mostly thrown out cash, since the usage is so specific.
The only good use i see is, that you could permanently install it on the back of the driver seat, if you have kids.
Of course this also depends on the temperature the car usually got in summer or winter.
I'm curious on how the heat transfer profiles change on the switch in this thing during intense gaming sessions lol

This seems to be designed to sit on a flat surface propped up with the kickstand and played with the joycons off or with a pro controller. I feel like that would be the optimal experience.

This would probably get me to use my switch out of the house and in hand held more. I’m sure I’d get used to the weight and it would be awesome.

So when you dock the switch it goes to 60 fps is this considered the same concept. Also if we are seeing a 1080 picture those 2 aspects alone if achieved make this a win win item. For portabley making the switch full power on the go. As when the switch is undocked its runs half power 30 fps and 720 p graphics just for anyone who didn't know.
