    My favorite part about this build is that it goes perfectly straight. No matter how perfectly you try to align the 2 fan build, it will ALWAYS slightly veer towards the left/right if you let it fly on its own. This thing does not do that at all. Huge fan (lmao) of this build

  • @aceofaces0007
    @aceofaces0007 Год назад +39

    This looks like a much easier build than the 2 fan personal flying machine. Whenever I try to use that, it constantly drifts and rolls because I bet it's not perfectly aligned, making it a pain to control. This new build looks much more enjoyable to use, and more useful to carry Koroks. Neat.

    • @TheEsparoba3
      @TheEsparoba3 Год назад +2

      just put the fans on the sides instead of the front and back, it's far more controllable, and far more forgiving if not perfectly aligned, and it can transport koroks/shrine stones without any problem if you attach them to the bottom of the steering stick, the only caviat is that you have to hold your stick backwards when taking off if something is attached

    If you don’t mind a larger frame, there is a shrine in Lanayru Wetlands called Jonsau (Deep Force) that has a couple of buoyant shapes in it, like spheres and boards, that are unique in that they aren’t conductive like metal, flammable like wood, or heavy like stone. It might be worth it to grab the slab out of there with weapon fusing so you have something to use in areas like Death Mountain or the Thunder Plateau without risk of combustion.

      Tried it. Unfortunately, the board has zero natural attach-magnet points so it's hard to balance, and it's large enough that it's too difficult to lift into the air with four fans.
      It may be of use when building an electric turbine vehicle, as a wing glued to some battery swords or a base that's fireproof and lighter than metal. But it's not viable as a lifting transport.

      @Nicknero Год назад +1

      @@AustinJohnPlays So far I have been using the hoverbike for almost everything, and it can carry a korok on it's back although as others have mentioned you need to balance it a little.
      For shrine crystals since they are heavier, I usually slap two extra fans on either side of the back fan which creates enough lift to carry a shrine crystal or even more koroks.
      But I have to say, being able to float on water and also less likely to roll over on it's side at landing on hills makes your build very superior. I might consider using it for a while. Thanks!

    Good design choice with the 2 x 4 wood base for the flying Zonai device. Austin this is regarding a boat build and not a flying machine build, but if you go to the Jonsau Shrine, with the "Deep Force" puzzle located in the Lanayru wetlands ( 1743, 0018, 0025 ) the large, yellow Zonai floating board (kind of like a Zonai pool toy...) makes for an excellent boat base as it floats right on the water surface, and does not sink like the wood bases - it can go very fast on the water surface because of how buoyant it is.

    • @joebridger3339
      @joebridger3339 Год назад

      The steps involved (requires Master Hand unlocked): Go inside Jonsau Shrine, Solve the first puzzle, Start the second puzzle, but put a fan and a control stick on the board to make a fan boat. Save the build to favorites. It costs about 9 Zonite to make, and a bit less if you bring your own fan and control stick.

    This is the best flying machine I’ve tried! I’ve built several of the others I’ve seen online and they’re very unstable and tip over very easily. Also, if I bump into a wall or mountain, I get stuck and am unable to turn or back up. This one is very stable and if I bump into a wal, or mountain, I just pull back on the stick and it goes straight up. Once I reach the top, I can just let go of the stick to go straight forward again, with no change in height. I used it earlier to get to 3 light roots that I’d been having trouble getting to.
    Of course, it uses twice as much battery as most of the other builds, but it’s worth it for a more stable, usable vehicle. Thanks!

    I use an airtrike, myself. Just mount 3 fans around a control stick in a triangle formation. One in front and 2 in the back (spread apart) and angled, of course. This gives you much greater stability than the standard 2 fan airbike. You can mount a Korok onto the front fan for easy transportation. The nose gets heavy but it's easy to compensate for and you can still gain altitude no problem. Another HUGE advantage is when you land in water, it's really easy to climb on board from the sides and the rear not just to regain battery and stamina, but more importantly to move objects in the water using ultrahand (like floating treasure chests). I've tried a lot of configurations using many shapes and numbers of fans but this one seems to be the best. More fans don't really add anything and they just drain your battery faster. Wear a full set of Zonai armor and you can stay airborne for a really long time. ALL the floating islands become accessible. And in the depths, you can easily land on top of those mushroom trees to recharge while avoiding enemies. But the thing I like most is that you don't have to constantly fight with the controls like you do with the airbike. Bonus tip: bring the airtrike to the Gerudo southern oasis. You will absolutely smoke the training race. I did it in 1minute and 26 seconds.

  • @FortyTwoBlades
    @FortyTwoBlades 11 месяцев назад

    For Korok-ferrying specifically I like to use an autobuild of one of the hot air balloon baskets from the Depths with 3 fans spaced evenly, and the control stick on the top where the balloon usually goes. Stick the Korok in the brazier instead of a flame emitter and your weights are perfectly balanced in the middle of the craft, making it easy to steer. I usually use the fans in dead upright configuration because altitude gain is usually what I need most, but for longer distances you can just pop them off and angle them. You don't have snapping points for the fans, BUT because of the optimized balance you don't have to be very precise with it to get convenient flight. 3 zonaite is a small price to pay for the incredible handling of the basket.

    Yeah, i adjust my controlling for the extra front weight. But its possible and ive cheesed most of the travel koroks with my hover bike.
    But everyone should do whats comfortable for them. Im sure Austin is at a point where full battery and upgraded zonai armor trivializes the drain of 4 fans and he gets to where he needs to get no problem faster than a hover bike ever could.

    I have an autobuild saved of the hoverbike/personal flying machine with a Korok on the top of the back wheel and it works great. I've been bummed I couldn't get it to work with the shrine crystals. For Addison signs I do in fact use a single hover stone (pressed directly under and against the pole) works 9 times out of 10.
    The hoverbike also floats, I find it usually even rights itself so you just have to climb on and hit A to go!
    I will be trying this for the crystals though, since that's where I find the hoverbike flops. 😅

  • @ayakoholic
    @ayakoholic 11 месяцев назад +1

    For shrine crystals, I just use the crystal as the body of the bike-- put a fan on each end and a steering stick on top. Usually doesn't fly entirely straight, but it gets me to the shrine site just fine.

    I found that, if you use the base air bike design, but have two side by side fans at the back, and attack the korok there, it stays almost perfectly balanced, almost never topples over when you land and is a tiny bit easier to build the first time when aligning everything. Can't take credit for the design as I've seen it being shared around before testing it myself, but I thought it could interest some people :)

    Hey Austin , love your vids , great stuff. Just to give you a heads up, I discovered this by mistake. I used a hover pad to finish my remaining signs, I then fused the hover pad to a stick, long stick or a gloom club, rode to my next sign and threw the hover pad fused weapon in the air and the hover pad unfused from my weapon and energized, stayed hovering where it diffused from my weapon. I discovered I could do this with arrows as I was floating down into the huge block constructs, landed on the pad and then at the right moment jump off and stun lock with slow mow arrow shots .

    I find if you just do the build without the board, 4 fans but built the same as the hover bike with just the front and back fans attached, works great with koroks. The trick for balance is to put the korok on the bottom of the steering stick part, instead of somewhere on top

  • @sleepyppl4286
    @sleepyppl4286 Год назад

    for the deliver koroks thing i recommend a balloon basket thing (the bottom part of the balloon shematic you get from josha, you can find them in the depths) just attach four fans at that 45 degree angle and the steering stick in the front
    you can place the korok in the basket at the top, or if you dont have space to take off/need to bring the korok up a cliff just put a rocket in the basket and place the korok on the lower level, its absolutely the best and easiest way to reunite koroks, however it does have slightly worse controls than the one austin uses, but its more convenient especially for cliff koroks
    source: im hunting all the koroks and this is the absolute best vehicle i could find for it

  • @Dangozaki
    @Dangozaki Год назад

    I just use the hover bike for koroks, it just needs 1 extra fan on the side (for 3 in total) and just attach the korok to the top of it. The fan itself compensates for the weight of the korok so you don't have to fight for balance. Just make sure the 3rd fan is angled the same way as the other two and that it's attached to the center of the steering stick, I've noticed that if its a bit too far up or down it has more of an impact on the balance but its still manageable. It's smaller, less parts, and you don't have to favorite it since it's just adding 1 part to your already favorited hover bike.

    By the way, the two-fan hoverbike can be stabilized quite easily by making it a four-fan hoverbike. Combine the Goblin Glider and bike configurations into a sort of four leaf clover, and you get a vehicle that is rock stable, easy to balance, stays upright fairly easily when landing (and floats even better as a result), can restart far more quickly in midair (handy for if you get caught on an overhang - cut the engine, wait a second, and restart it), and can carry Koroks and shrine gems with about as much ease as the version with a board/sled/cart due to the more efficient lifting weight compensating for the lack of area.
    The only downside is that its added mass means dropping it off cliffs can dislodge fans more easily than the two-fan if it hits an edge at the wrong angle. But overall, the quadcopter is the most powerful advanced pure transport I've tried so far. It can even be armed on both sides. Personally my favorite vanilla Zonai vehicle with maxed battery, aside from the Scorpion Tank and other weaponized options. I'm curious as to what the ideal way to make electric vehicles will be, though...
