Thank you for posting these videos. Everything about them was wonderful, right down to the positioning of the little hippos in their apartment. Brilliant!!
What?!...wait!.... They've only known each other a year?! Lol! I'm so exhausted after watching this series that I assumed it had been at least 3 years or so! I really need to pay attention! Lol! This experience was very enjoyable, very hilarious!😂💓
What a couple: Laura generally behaves like a bad-tempered spoilt brat, while Mike is generally as dim as a 3 Watt bulb. A thoroughly awkward couple but then this is what makes it more of a comedy drama than a basic situation comedy and we can fall in love with the oddest people. A lovely and interesting show.
Makes me feel old when I realise I had a summer dress in my late teens with large pale pastel checks the same as Susan Penhaligon is wearing in this episode 🤣
Very nice. Thanks for posting the entire series. They butchered it with adverts on the tube. I think they could have squeezed one more series of episodes out of it but I guess they had other projects in mind.
Some men on here love to point out how bad the character Laura behaves. Totally ignoring the inadequacies of Mike. Lol Mike is totally emotionally stunted and completely incapable of expressing anything of importance. Both characters are highly flawed especially for their age. If they weren't then there would be no comedy. This male duo writing team who invented these characters as well as several other on popular shows of the 70s and 80s wrote two types of women mainly. One being the male fantasy /saint and the irrational/drama queen type. None of their characters are particularly realistic but they were written for laughs not realism. They wrote some very fun very flawed characters that gave millions of people something to giggle about.
I "oved" ... I mean LOVED (LOL!) watching this series. It just drew me in right from the beginning and I couldn't stop watching. I do think it would've been nice -- and reassuring -- to see them actually get married. I mean, with Laura, you never know if she would've changed her mind at the very last second at the altar and took off for the south of France or something. But seriously, everyone in this series was superb.
@AI AC I can understand that My wife was the same age and she passed away I look at younger women now As bad as it sounds I don't want to be left alone this time
If you look at relationships now. Young people would lucky just to meet a Mike or Laura. At least they had a sense of self and morals. Get married , then have children.
I would have loved to see them purchase the property of their dreams. And see their wedding. It would have been such a much more fitting ending to the series.
Autism/Asperger's does not present the way the Laura character behaves. She behaves more like someone who is Bi-Polar . . . one minute "normal" - the next, unreasonable and/or out of control.
@@wandamundy1759 No Miss Mundy, wasn't talking about Laura. She's something else, possibly bi-polar, as you've observed. I was talking about the Mike character.
Sorry but this final episode was pointless. They should have ended the series with the adorable restaurant proposal, in episode 4/6. End on a happy note. This one was just depressing and added nothing.
I wish this series had continued to see them marry and create their “proper home garden centre” together. It would be full of hiccups and laughter.
Totally agree
Thanks for sharing this series. I've binge watch the whole lot this week and it really cheered me up. Thank you.
What a talent Michael Williams was - all of them! Thank you!
Note that he even did his own stunts!
Love it! Thanks for posting. I think Phil was my favourite character; I loved the way he loved his wife and his daft sense of humour.
Thank you so much for uploading these series. It's the only show I've ever watched that got better and better as time went on!!!
Just watched entire show, loved it, love the characters made more so that both Judi and Michael were very much in love. Thanks so much xx

Thankyou for this series. It's the first time I have watched them all, although I remember them being on tv as a teen. Loved it.
Thank you! Wonderfully touching series, both funny and heartfelt.
Never seen this before. I am going to binge watch it. I am a sucker for British Sitcom. Thanks for the upload.

Great comment
Yes but they made it over more than 3 years, so they really stretched it out didn't they.
brilliant! thank you so much for uploading. I watched this in my teens and now living in Helsinki...Ive just watched the entire series:)
Oh, thank you. I pinned all seasons & episodes of A Fine Romance onto my Pinterest Page. Gotta love Judi Dench!

Fantastic! I loved this as a young teen.. thank you up loader..
This is one Sitcom that could have kept going on sad to see it ended

Thank you so muh for sharing, i did enjoy watching every episode of it
So charming. Thanks so much...
Makes me feel old when I realise I had a summer dress in my late teens with large pale pastel checks the same as Susan Penhaligon is wearing in this episode 🤣
Many,many thanks.This was fantastic. :)
Too bad they quit at this point, seems there was more potential for the show to continue a while longer. At their new garden center.
It would become repetitive.
Thank you so much. What fun to watch.

Many, many thanks!
thank you
Thank you dear! I thouraly enjoyed them all! I can`t find season 5 though!
Terry Wilson there was no series 5.

Thanks. Great insight.
Check out the sit-com "Three Up. Two Down." Similiar, entertaining premise

Thank you for uploading!! );})
I was waiting for Mike to tell Laura he (l) ove her
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Mike reminds me of Stan Laurel of Laurel and Hardy.
"I...ove you?"
"The L must've fallen off"
Great ending for a fine "awkward" romance!
Thia Brabson In real life they were married to each other 1971 to 2001 when he passed away.
@AI AC I can understand that
My wife was the same age and she passed away
I look at younger women now
As bad as it sounds I don't want to be left alone this time
Was this the last episode of the last series?!!
JD is too beautiful for that role. In fact she's too beautiful for any role. She's not human, obviously.
I enjoyed this series apart from the canned laughter which detracts from it. Great to see Michael Williams.
.... if only this was Britain today
If you look at relationships now. Young people would lucky just to meet a Mike or Laura. At least they had a sense of self and morals. Get married , then have children.
Wait! So this is the ending?
Look how young Judi Dench is holy crap
I would have loved to see them purchase the property of their dreams. And see their wedding. It would have been such a much more fitting ending to the series.
I disagree. The way it ended was certainly more fitting for that particular couple.
Of course he's pulling faces!
They call it autism or Asperger, right? I'm no psychiatrist but I know there's a name for it.
