I bought this tent at an REI garage sale and liked it, but after hearing your perspective, I've fallen in love with it! You are an excellent gear reviewer!
Just picked up the storm break 2 and I can't wait to get out on the trail with it. Great tent review! Thanks for showing how easy it is to put up properly!
Thanks for your review. We bought this tent for camping. Fit a blowup Queen mattress. Was easy to set up. Did indeed have good airflow with the doors open. Sharing with my husband the 2 doors made easy for us to both get in and out. I like it! We might get a big cabin tent later, but this was perfect for our camping trip.
Great review. Very informative & helpful. I purchased one at an REI garage sale and did a quick setup without the rainfly for a quick check. Now I have a visual for full setup. Your additional clip on the beach answered my other question. Thank you.
Hi there! I am interested in getting a tent to fly with for a music festival with my bf. We want something spacious when open, but very small and portable when packed. It LOOKS like the tent bag is fairly compact while you're holding it in your hands- but could you share the rough dimensions of the fully-packed pack size? Might it fit in a carry-on? This was a great review, thank you!
I got one because I was tired of cheap tents fly not providing full coverage. It’s heavy. I measured a little over 7 lbs including everything. Hopefully it will withstand some kids using it.
I referenced this to pitch my tent because it just wasn’t quite right when I did it. 🥴 Now I just need to figure out how to secure the tent door open for ventilation
How long can you have it exposed to the sun at the beach? I got the no-chemical added rainfly. Still, I'm worried of ruining the material and then getting wet on a camping trip later on.
How does this do in cold weather - like 40 degrees? With that vestibule opening wide and it looks like it is open air that can come into the tent through the screen. What is the coldest you have camped with it?
then rain pools and puddles on the footprint, sits there soaks all your stuff on the inside of the tent because the tent does not have a waterproof base.......wonderful design....
I also have recently co pared the SB3 to the Talus 3, and I just ordered the SB3 today. Size-wise, they are very close in their specs. The Talus 3 comes with an included tent footprint and gear loft. With the SB3, both of those items are extra (not included). Also, the Polyurethane floor coating is twice as thick/robust as the coating on the SB3. So, why then did I pick the SB3? Well, for me it came down to rain-proofing (the Talus has gotten a couple of iffy reviews for leaks during heavy rain, and the other reason I chose the SB3 was ease of set-up. Both are fairly easy to set up, but the reviews of the SB3 were very consistent in their praise of the ease of set-up with the SB3. So, those were my observations. Good luck!
Rebecca Tarbox The biggest difference between the stormbreak 3 and the talus 3 is the pole structure and the ventilation pockets at the top of the tent. The stormbreak 3 is better suited for inclement weather but the talus 3 has better ventilation.
What would you use the long strings for that are on the outside of the rain fly? Even on TNF website they are tied in a bundle and just hanging from the rain fly.
Nick Mangan Just for extra stabilization during inclement weather. Stakes for the the rain fly guylines do not come with the tent so you will have to purchase more.
hey great video! i need your help to decide if this tent is actually good for rainy weather, like october to december? and march april?of course i do not mean superheavy rain or bad weather in the amazon :P casual hiking or and camping near a lake or something during this months...let me know if you have anything else in mind! thanks :)
We’ve been using the Stormbreak 3 on extended canoe & kayak trips for about 6 years and it has kept us perfectly dry in rain and a few severe storms. North Face understands the importance of making a tight tent with fly low to the ground to keep things dry, but there’s one design issue that almost all tents seem to have… they might say that they are 3 season but they’re only partially effective at keeping the cold wind out because of all the no-see-um mesh inside. At very least I would avoid tents that have mesh walls extending too close to the floor of the tent. Otherwise the rain splashing around your tent can get blown directly under the fly and into your tent. I see that the newer Stormbreak tents were redesigned (in 2019?) to help reduce this problem.
We just bought one. It has a beautiful design My only comment is I owned a north face tent in the past, I believe it was north face storm break The earlier tent was much more spacious. It could house four people and you could stand up in it But, yes, I love north face products as well
I just took my recently purchased north face assault 3 to camping, only to discover that it is not waterproof, do you think a rain fly like yours would fit my tent? Since it has a similar pole structure? Thanks a lot for the review it's very detailed; I wish I would've chosen the storm break, only got the assault because of the sale, ended up being 207 usd.
Hey Fred, thanks for the comment. Looking at the assault 3 I don't believe the rainfly for the stormbreak 3 would fit because of the pole structure on the stormbreak. :( The two poles on top of the stormbreak that expand the headroom also fit snug with the rainfly. As well, the rainfly attaches directly to the tent poles which would be impossible for the assault 3 since the poles on the assault are held up through the pole sleeves. Hope this helps!
Great review! I love the north face and I’m about to buy one but I’m hesitating a bit... How is a Coleman Sundome about only 60$ while having great reviews? How would you compare the 2 tents? Thanks!
Thanks for the review! You’re breathing with some difficulty. I’d go get yourself checked out as you may have some circulatory - heart issues. I’m saying from experience. Good luck!

Love that shot of the beach near the end. Very cool!

Thanks for the review! I was on the fence about this tent, but ordered it after I saw your vid.
Thanks for your review!
I just bought this tent! Much bigger than my last "3 person tent". Can't wait to use it
Thanks ! Great demo of complete set up with rain fly too. I'm looking for a tent for myself. This one looks perfect.
Now this is how you make a review, well done brother!

Excellent Review; thank you very much :) can't wait to buy mine!

Cool, found my next tent. Looking for a spacious light tent for my motorcycle trips.
This is perfect, still thorned between the 2 and the 3 🤔
Great video!
Just bought this tent, was unsure if the price was too much since ive never camped, but you sold me!
You just sold me on the tent by the beach! Now I need to see if I can dye that orange color though... :-)
This review was helpful, I got the storm break 2. But I will be upgrading to the 3.
Really nice video :) thanks
Cool video!
I’m considering getting this tent to take when I camp by myself , we currently own a northface wawona 6 and we love it
I am thinking the same thing. Love the Winona 6 for family but want smaller for solo.
@@lilyanrolander9021 I ended up getting the north face domey 3 for camping by myself and it handled crazy rain storms.

Nice Review! Just want to know what's the brand name of the portable fan and series? Where did you get it?
Nice review, but i have question. Can i use this tent on the summit or just camping? Because i bought TNF Stormbreak 3 tent, 4 days ago. Thanks before
I got one because I was tired of cheap tents fly not providing full coverage. It’s heavy. I measured a little over 7 lbs including everything. Hopefully it will withstand some kids using it.
Great review. What is the footprint of this tent?
Tenda yg cukup luas keren🤩👍

Supreme brought me here... You can do a follow-up review to show the difference between the $199 retail version and the $348 Supreme version
H Gong there’s no difference, it’s the same tent. They are only charging more due to the branding.
@@PincheBrayan101 hhahahhahahah so funny.

I got this tent when I was driving cab. Guy ran on a twenty dollar fare.
can this be use on snow , high altitudes ? Mine expensive one broke and don't planning on spending more on it
Thank you for the grrreat great review, just like to know how tall you are.
Antonella Francesca I'm 5'11''. At least the last time I checked haha
thanks bro

I've been looking at this tent vs. the Talus 3 - besides 7oz, is there a really big difference between the two that you know of?
I also have recently co pared the SB3 to the Talus 3, and I just ordered the SB3 today. Size-wise, they are very close in their specs. The Talus 3 comes with an included tent footprint and gear loft. Is this good for a strong wind and rain?
Could I use a North Face Stormbreak 2 footprint for the Stormbreak 3 tent? Unfortunately the footprint for Stormbreak 3 is no longer available.
Unfortunately the Stormbreak 2 footprint will not fit with this tent.
A little too late... but you can always rig up a foot print with Tyvek, Polycro or the dirt cheap $1 party table cover!
Do you have issues with the zipper catching on the rain fly?
I know those background sounds. Are you at a race circuit?!
ive got one there s top tent
North Face sponsorship in the future for you.
Man I wish!

Please anyone? Whats the difference between the Sequoia Tent 3 and Stormbreak tent 3? I have the Sequoia3 tent? Are they the same? If so, how? Thanks
Great review! I love the north face and I’m about to buy one but I’m hesitating a bit... How is a Coleman Sundome about only 60$ while having great reviews? How would you compare the 2 tents? Thanks!
Gabriel Alfredo Rodriguez - Like comparing a Big Mac to a filet mignon. The north face will last years compared to the Coleman. No contest.
Did you say vestibules or vegetables?!
What are the main differences between storm break 2 and 3?
2 person or 3 person
Can we pitch fly first
What is the internal HEIGHT?
What size the foot print stormbreak 3 please?
Looks like a solid tent but only a 1200mm PU coating at this price point? That's disappointing.
I bouht the supreme x the north face stormbreaker but i am fucking dumb with tents and stuff but this was very handy thanks!
What is he size of your tarp at the bottom 6×8?
Aaron Basila Yes
condensación windows ?
Who else is here because of the supreme x northface collab thats coming up
Max.Castillo dead ass 😂
