Hi Brent! I just got into the hobby and your videos have been a huge source of inspiration and calm over the year. I'd love to share some of my progress with you and the community. What's the best platform to share some images with you? Thanks and keep up the great work!
Is there such thing as just collecting and painting figures but not playing tabletop games? Is there a beginner collection I should start with and not be too far behind to aquire the full collection or series? This looks amazing but the gaming part doesnt interest me. I'd rather put on music and relax and do this.
@@HRGiger88 If you find the most joy in the painting and collecting just go for it. There is no obligation whatsoever to play a particular game. Just enjoy the bits of the hobby that are your favourites. And you can always change your mind and game at a later date if you like
It was 1974 the last time I painted a model! It was a Plymouth Duster and this is such new territory, I am looking for more videos that have artists using the Jazza boxes and creating dioramas and painting all sorts of models too! I am glad you went to Real Terrain and helped Neil with his HUGE project, I found your channel from there! Lots more to see and appreciate! Thanks!
"If it's like any of the other Goobertown videos, I feel better about myself and life in general after, and excited to try a few things myself" These are possibly the truest words @Jazza has ever said!
Great video Brent, informative and relaxing at the same time. I have a suggestion for you since these lads turned out so well, how about you paint up an Imperial Fist army of space marines. It would be a great compliment to go with Casey’s Ork army he did. That way when you guys do meet up you both have armies to play and can throw down some 9th edition. I know you’re not much on space marines, but your yellow technique is spot on.
I just love how the community grew. All the mini youtubers comming together! Jazza, goobertown hobbies, Squidmar, midwinter, black magic craft, keep it up!
If you like long videos about fixing vintage electronics, check out Mr. Carlson’s Lab. Very similar voice inflection and cadence. I read a quote once, calling his videos “Disturbingly Pleasant”..
I’m really glad i found this vid. I ordered the minis box and the strikers will be my first minis, you’ve made painting them less terrifying so cheers!
Brent, I just wanna say I greatly appreciate the work you do. I’m not a avid painter myself, only doing a handful of models for DnD, but watching you paint gives me great ideas and allows me to live “vicariously” through you. I love the channel and am proud to call myself a Goober
Your videos are a balm. Just watching them makes me more relaxed and lets me forget real life problems, even if just for a while. Thanks. Keep on going Brent 👍🏻
The flowing Brent-locks are looking truly magnificent; positively Botticellian. "Mostly..." ah, Aliens Quotes, are always applicable. The paint job on Magnus' Shield is wonderful.
I'm very impressed with the box contents - it's terrific for the high quality of minis, tools, and paints. A great idea for people new to the hobby and for experienced folks as well. As always, your figs came out looking great and personalized. I love how you make the hobby approachable and inclusive. Keep up the good work and thanks!!
Reminding us we all make mistakes and that not every mini will be quite as amazing as our last is a great mantra. It really is something we should all remember whilst painting. Thanks Brent!
Yeah i love it magnetic dowels!!!!!!. Didnt know i was going to come out of this with anything but, by the throne, i love that idea. Small dabs of super glue in the right places you could very easy upgrade characters and not have a huge seam to try and hide. With normal plastic or metal models too its one deep freeze and a stripper bath and you can very safely and easiely change loadouts and repaint. I play warhammer roleplay so this is a great for me
Finally a RUclips creator that killed it with the ultimate creativity box . These minis turned out great. Looking forward to getting mine next month...although I already visited my local game shop and bought more supplies for when I do get the box 😃

That box looks sweet, great for a hobbyist in any phase of their painting and basing. Awesome job on the battle damage and wear and tear. I preferred the slower hand and brush method you used to create the damage.
Better check your home security Brent, before you know it there will be Jazzas everywhere. It will be madness. Such a great minis box and fun to see them all painted up! Jazza's lookin' good next to the Brent Army. :D
For easier eyes try a band of white and then a thin black line down where you want the pupil to be. When dry all you need to do is paint the eye lids and you get that nice crisp whites and pupil look without reaching for the brush with 2 bristles on it ;) I also find the thin pens people use for technical drawing useful for details like this and other micro detailing as they are easier to get a straight line with.
