Hey Brent! I was the one who sculpted those models and I just wanted to say thank you for doing this painting vid on them! You really did a fantastic job especially on the larger orc. Not sure when I'll ever find time to paint some myself, but watching you and others, I've got the itch to paint some myself.
Brent's "coat of Black primer" and "white zenithal highlighting" is, to me, fast becoming the equiivalent to Bob Ross's "Happy little tree" and "tap, tap, tap": it's expected, welcome, soul satisfying and always brings a smile to my face. :)
Ya know. Fate has a funny way of working out. Tomorrow was the day where I had little to no college stuff. Tonight was the night I stayed up late on the xbox with friends. And I was greeted with being early to your video. I don’t know if you understand how much joy your videos bring to people dude👍
I backed this Kickstarter and it was one of the best Kickstarters I've been a part of. Every update brought more and more and I can't wait to print them all out and get painted and playing. Great video Brent!
Thanks for another great video! And thanks for turning me on to this Kickstarter; I checked it out and backed it immediately. Greg's videos were what helped me when I first started resin printing, and your videos were what helped me when I first started painting those prints!
Thank you for the video. Did not think to watch it until the end, since it could be broing to watch someone else to paint. But , asalways, calm voice, intesresting explanations about techniques. After a pretty hard day at work, this video is a small island of zen :)
As a backer of that kickstarter I definitely look forward to attempting to print and paint these and being generally unskilled at anything art related its good to see how others paint models. I will say the entire time the dragons were being painted my mind went straight to a Double Dragon theme which was pretty close to what resulted and the shot at 14:33 played the end fight from the arguably excellent movie in my head.
It's always great when I get out of work and see that you've posted a new video. That orc is one hefty lad, and I love what you did with him; the red really helps make the greens, yellows, and browns pop. I definitely need to back this kickstarter before it ends!
It's nice to see another Goober video's especially as I love 3d printed miniatures. Really good painting aswell dude, well done I will definitely check out the RUclips channel
Looks great. Almost like a cartoon. Also, I'm enjoying the lightbringer audiobook that you recommended in one of your videos. I recommend Brandon Sanderson Mistborn trilogy. The way Brent weeks uses light for magic, Brandon similarly uses metal.
What fun! I'm a pre-noob and not sure if I have the patience much less the skill to pursue this. Fell down the 3d printing rabbit hole and got lost in this run. I made a Deadpool bust and painted the black eyes and white pupils. (My more advanced project. lol) Frankly, it looked pretty darn good and my grand baby slept with it that night. Priceless. lol
The colour-scheme on the blue dragonborn reminds me of the art-style in the old CRPGs Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate. I've got a soft spot for older D&D artwork, like Larry Elmore and Clyde Caldwell's paintings, so I'm thinking of ways to reach similar use of coulour. :)
Man this channel gives me so much inspiration, I’ll be getting and painting a mini for each of my friends for our D&D campaign as a surprise and the magic blade effect is something I’ll totally try out! Thanks again Brent!
All of the models came out so cool. I have wanted to try to shifter paints. They make such a unique look and shine. I like the idea of them for magic armor and weapons. Great job as always.
@@GoobertownHobbies There aren't a lot of Air brush people on youtube and I like seeing you use it as a standard tool, no more or less useful than a brush, which is something a lot of people go too strong one way or another.
I also didn't know if the lizard was gonna get great scheme, but then in the final shots I saw it for a second. From that light blue, all the way to purple on his tail and even pink. Then keep that dotted effect with appropriate colours. Should give it that magical whirl!
Great video. Very cool minis. Love the paint job you did on the big Orc. Thanks for the recommendation for “The 3D Printing Pro”. I am just getting into 3D printing and was looking for a good channel for beginners. Thanks!
