  • Snotling Pump Wagons are my all-time favorite unit from Warhammer Fantasy Battles. To make all of your wagons unique, you've gotta make some proxies! I've found a new way to build custom proxies for these crazy contraptions. Cast N Play has made us a set of bits that are perfect for building janky goblin war machines.

    I love that the gobbos in the big pump wagon have no mechanism for steering. They are just going to go forward or back in a straight line, wherever the terrain carries them, smashing through everything and every one in the way.

    • @GoobertownHobbies
      @GoobertownHobbies  4 года назад +12

      hehehe, I like to think they have a gear shift and can then go backwards too! If they had more crew they could steer by throwing their weight side to side.

    Glad somebody's finally showing how useful 3D printers are for just bits. I got friends trying to print out entire armies of identical figures. Printing the parts separately, gluing them together the way you want, and having an infinite number extra parts to use will make every model look amazing. This is the best, you're the best.

      I had the same idea man!! I collected like 24 units/bases of them. That's 9 snotlings per base. I believe the standard is 6 snotlings per base now. So I should be able to field like 36 of them if I put them on the new round bases.
      Yes they are fun but they are just too weak. Plus since AOS they arent unbreakable anymore. And that was their best feature.

    • @dakkaflakkaflame
      @dakkaflakkaflame 4 года назад +1

      @@nacholibre4516 I have picking some up here and there over the years, but I'm not sure how many I have.
      I was thinking about putting 3 snotlings per 25mm base to count as grots that go along with my Shokk Attack Gunz in 40k. Then I would make a movement tray that holds four 25mm bases of them to count as a single Snotling base in AoS, with each 25mm base being a wound counter. It would be a little too big, but since it wouldn't be competitive I doubt people would care.

    I highly recommend taking a look into Gunpla for some of the same ideas. Get a blocky looking High Grade (your standard fare 1/144 scale), glue thin plastic strips here and there to enhance the armor pieces, use a stanley or scraping tool to carve a panel line or two into other bits, airbrush and voila, custom gunpla. You don't need anything fancy, and the HG's are pretty cheap.
    It definitely gives a lot of insight into kitbashing, modifying and planning these things. While it's more than gluing random pieces together that fit thematically, it's also not that hard.

    man this reminds me that I like goblins but none of the models i can find on the internet look or really feel like how i imagine goblins. They all feel either too menacing or too detailed. I might just be complaining but it does feel bad sometimes. None the less it is a great video and keep up the amazing work.

    Really COOL! I'd love to see what you would do with some really asymmetrical wagons!
