I'm planning on reading the Bunnicula books this month! I read them many times as a kid. It was my favorite series.😊
Haha, that's awesome!
Just Ella was one of my favorite books as a teen. I have a couple of cozy mysteries and The Blue Castle on my tbr. I also hope to squeeze in a Jaime Jo Wright as I am a year behind on her books.
Yay for The Blue Castle! I need to start Just Ella really soon, I'm excited to read it!
❤📚📚❤️ I'm going to read Resisting Happiness by Matthew Kelly for the challenge. It's been on my bookshelves quite awhile!
I see an MC Beaton book on your cart. That’s exciting!
Quiche of Death was one of my favorite books last year.
I’m going to try to read Monster in October too 😊
Yay!
Me too! Looking forward to it!
Bunnicula is hilarious! If you have a chance to listen to the audiobook, it’s so great! Narrated by Victor Garber.
I am currently reading Jonathan strange and Mr Norell. I am loving it. Its such a great book to read in October.
You are going to love The Wall! It's definitely not cozy but a definite page turner! I can't wait to see what you think!
Hearing other people enjoyed a book always makes me more excited to read them!
Chantel talking about a cozy readathon: “Well there’s daggers.” 😂😂 Now you sound like me: “Of course it’s cozy, there’s only some murder and sword fights and blood here and there, it’s fiiinnne.” 😆
I’m really interested to hear what you think about Married By Treachery because ever since you read the first line of it I’ve been curious to know if it’s any good-it just sounds so interesting!
Wait, daggers aren't considered cozy by all?! 😂 Hehe, glad you think they are!
@@ChantelReadsAllDay of course! It’s the people who don’t think daggers are cozy who are crazy. 😜😂
Happy Monday 😊
I’m mostly going to be using your challenge for the activities. I’m looking forward to that coziness!
Yay for all the cozy!
My October TBR is…
Beyond the Wand - Tom Felton
Life Together - Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Martin Luther - Eric Mataxis
Gardens of the Moon - Stephen Erikson
Royal Assassin - Robin Hobb
The Lies of Locke Lamora - Scott Lynch
2 chapters of the Hobbit
And 8 chapters of Sense and Sensibility
Wow, you've got some big books for the month! I hope you enjoy them!
"I only have 700-ish pages left" 😂 I do hope you enjoy the rest of Jonathan Strange though!
Ch. 6 of Secret, Book & Scone Society is generally considered the chapter to skip because it's sexual in nature. There's nothing seen on page, but enough is heard and speculated about by other characters to be awkward. Although it really only takes up about 3 or 4 pages of the chapter (I can give you specific start and stop points if you want).
Jonathan Strange is a chunker! I'm just glad I don't have 1,000 pages left!
Thanks for the heads up on the Secret, Book & Scone Society!
I read House of Silk a year or so ago. Very well-written book! But it should have a content warning about child sexual abuse, imo. It's not graphic at all, in fact, I believe you don't even meet any of the victims on the page, but it is there.
Thanks for the heads up!
I picked up a couple Jaime Jo Wright books from the library, so that’s my October.
October is a great time for her books!
I will be finishing up Relative Justice by Robert Whitlow in Oct. For your Read Your Bookshelf challenge I will be reading Vietnam (I forget the author) and everything else will be mood reading.
How is relative justice?
@@caseyr4188 if you enjoy a legal procedural novel you will enjoy it. I am loving it and the faith is fantastic. It is also heavy on family dynamics and caring for a sick loved one. I am a little over halfway way and can see it being a 5 star 🌟
@@jaimeg.3012 thanks! Adding it to my TBR
Hey sorry I'm late! Recovering from the hurricane that came through GA after FL and our internet is spotty. ❤
Norrell raised the girl from the dead in the first 100pgs😅. (Since you read that on the back.... and Norrell is now the only practicing magician after proving himself to the men who only wanted to study the magic)
Glad to hear you're okay!
Ha, okay so I don't remember anything of what I've read in Norrell. 😊
@@ChantelReadsAllDay ha ha! 🤣 still waiting on electric...day 6 now. But at least we have our house. So many don't and it's so sad.
I will finish reading The Hobbit then will start LOTR, Percy Jackson’s Heroes of Olympus Series, and Messenger by Lois Lowry. I am looking forward to eventually reading The Witcher Series.

Hi I am reading The September House and Lucy Undying anyway please keep safe and well 😍
Hoping to read:
-The Delightful Horror of Family Birding
-The Briar Club
-The British Booksellers
-A Seaside Wonder and
-Wedding at Sea to finish up the Muir Harbor trilogy
-A Study in Scarlet (my first Sherlock😄)
I need a couple more for the readathon but that's what I have planned so far.
Hearing you talk about unread books made me wonder - how many physical unread books do you currently own? If you don't mind me asking? I've been keeping up with your unhauls here and on Patreon and you're making awesome progress.
The bookshelf behind me and my TBR cart, plus some other classics, about 170 books according to my Goodreads shelves I have for those.
@@ChantelReadsAllDay that is manageable!! You can do it 💪
Looks like a great mix! Enjoy! I'm sort of seeing how it goes. I have two non-fictions I'm continuing, and I'm picking up Middlemarch again. It's kind of like your situation with Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. I was reading it (a few months ago) and enjoying it, but it got set aside for some reason. So I read a very quick summary of the chapters I already read and I think I'm going to continue. Good to know that it can still count for the reading side of your readathon. It's an English novel. There has to be tea!
Haha, have you ever heard the joke that Middlemarch was named that because by the MIDDLE of the book you want to MARCH away from it? That one was such a struggle for me to get through but I hope you enjoy it more than I did!
@@ChantelReadsAllDay I have not heard that joke. But I hope I enjoy it more than you did, too!😆
I have 2 preorders in oct
Swordcrossed by Freya Marske (romantasy
-Fury of the Gods by John Gwynne (and I'll b rereading the first two)
-Red Winter by Annette Marie (will be my 144th book of the year, which is my 12th dozen book)
I have two Grady Hendrix books for two different book
I mix up Chanel and Chantel too, I'm subbed to a booktuber called "Chanel Chapters" and Ive mixed notifications up at a glance.
I'm so exited about the cozy October challenge 😊
Me too! 😊
Don't you leave a space for Tolkien on your reading cart? I can see you put books on the bottom of cart. 😊
I did but then I moved the cart by my bed and now he refuses to sleep in it. Now he prefers the bookshelf so I'm trying to get books off of there because he keeps knocking them down. 🤣
