Welcome to THE rock gods! The second biggest group in music history, after The Beatles! All 4 members are leading candidates for the title of GOAT on their particular instrument/s! Their debut album went top 10 in the UK, the US and all over the World. All (8) of their subsequent studio albums went to number 1 in both the UK, the US and all over the World. The one exception being 'Led Zeppelin IV' which 'only' reached number 2 in the US. As that album stayed in the charts for years, becoming their biggest selling US album and one of the biggest selling albums, worldwide, of all-time, I don't think they were too bothered! Even their live double album went to number 1 all over the World! They were legendary live performers, so if you think the vocals, guitaring and drumming were great here, you haven't seen or heard anything yet! They were to the 1970s what The Beatles were to the 1960s. They wwere an album band who didn't really do singles. Their record company released a handful of singles in other countries but they never released a single in their home country of the UK, where they had more control. Their catalogue is huge and hardly contains a single bad song, with half being bona fide classics! They just produced masterpiece after masterpiece! Easily one of the most innovative bands in history, they covered many genres and were trailblazers in many areas. Their influence is vast , with possibly only the Beatles being more influential. They also happen to be the most sampled group of all-time, so you may have heard snippets of their music, without realising it. Although not heavy metal themselves and although they hate it when people mistakenly label them as metal, they are, together with Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, called the 'Godfathers of Heavy Metal', as they laid much of the foundations for metal and their influence on that emerging genre was vast! They're one of the genuine, true giants of popular music and they still outsell 99.9% of today's artists! To see another side of them, I recommend checking out their performance of 'Since I've Been Loving You', live at Madison Square Garden in 1973. It's one of the greatest live performances of all-time! Link below. :) ruclips.net/video/1gHlbHtdVLU/видео.html
Forty plus years on, I still get a tingling down my spine, hearing this, John Bonham, the drummer was said to have had the fastest hands in the business.
Since you're interested and liking this one, you owe it to yourself to fully immerse yourself in Zeppelin. Thee quinticential, most kick ass and diverse Rock band that ever was or ever will be. You'll be very happy you did 😍💚🙏💙
"Stairway to Heaven" live at Madison Square Garden with Jimmy Paige's guitar solo is one of THE greatest live performances of all time. Better than Whole Lotta Love, IMO. Heart covered it when Led Zeppelin was given their Kennedy Center Award. Watch the original then the cover. Amazing..
Saw them in 1975 & 1977 and I am still feeling it. Two and a half hours of non-stop great songs. Both shows are boots on RUclips. Not best sound but sure bring back memories.
His voice was perfect for every Zep song Bonzo rocked the world Jimmy stole the lightning from heaven and JPJ was just a musical genius that was Zep and no band has touched them
I am just now seeing this and clicked Like as it started just because you were head banging as soon as it started. I truly hope you dig DEEP into this rabbit hole because it is HUGE and they don't have one bad song.
John Bonham was a force to be reckoned with on drums. When you listen to this on 🎧 the back and forth from left to right is amazing. I felt the same as you when the album came out.
Definitely a standout song for Bonham, the drummer. The rhythmic timing drag is so damn good. Bonham and Peart (drummer for Rush) are the two best drummers in rock.
To be honest, I don't believe you've ever heard of led zeppelin, but you still have my like. (Although I disapprove that the song was edited and is incomplete )
Haha! This is great. I thought everybody knew this song and Robert Plant for sure. Growing up around New Orleans we had WRNO, The Rock of New Orleans and even though I was an '80's girl, they played Led Zeppelin so much that I knew EVERY song. I was too young to see Zeppelin before they broke up but I did see Robert Plant the summer of "88 in New Orleans. It was awesome.
My god. And I was never in to heavy rock back then. So brilliant. The 21st century has nothing remotely to compare with the performance and the atmosphere.
Singer Robert Plan. Guitarist Jimmy Page. Bassis John Paul Jones (real name John Baldwin). Drummer John Bonham, aka Bonzo. Whole Lotta Love released as a single in November 1969. 53 years ago!
If you want more of Bonzo's drumming, I suggest In My Time Of Dying from "Physical Graffiti" or Nobody's Fault But Mine from "Presence". He was PHENOMENAL!!! But when he died... Led Zeppelin died with him.
The drummer, John Bonham, died in 1980, he still draws a worldwide crowd as people from all over the globe travel to his grave to pay their respects. His ashes are interred in a tiny and quiet churchyard in Worcestershire, near the family farm.
@@alecfed That must have been amazing! Yes, I've seen Jason perform, many years ago when he had a curly perm! He is very good but has massive shoes to fill. I live not too far from the Bonham estate and also Robert Plant, who I have seen out walking his dogs.
Congratulations, you have been listening to the best rock band ever, the drummer John Bonham was the best drummer in rock, he had a special style tha t nobody else could copy
They are immortal like Mozart and Beethoven . All four members contributed and equally made Led Zeppelin iconic with that patented sound . Yet your observation for the drumming is spot on . . John Bonham set the template for future hard rock drumming . Unfortunately John died in 1980 and as one fan said “ He took Led Zeppelin with him “ Yes he was irreplaceable . The surviving members Robert Plant , Jimmy Page , and John Paul Jones were set for life and they did well on their own with many projects .
If you liked John Bonham's drumming here, you NEED to hear them do When The Levee Breaks -- their take on a late-1920s blues classic -- the original of which is also on RUclips.
GENUINE ADVICE: React to the ENTIRE discography, studio albums first, in chronological order. Then do the Live performances. You'll love it and get a lot of followers In fact, I just SUBBED in order to get more zeppelin. I do not recommend you just jump around doing tracks from different albums in non chronological order
HI; my dear, LED ZEPPELIN is the (very) british band, That revolutionized ehw Rock-Songs FOR EVER!!! After them there will exist HEAVY METAL and on so on!
Little late here but I'll just say... You have the King of Rock'n'Roll, Elvis. You have the King of Pop, MJ. You have (arguably) the top Metal band of all time, Metallica. And then you have the Greatest Rock Band of all Time, Led Zeppelin!!
John Bohnam the drummer for Led Zeppelin is a Rock drummer God and is up there with best like Ginger Baker, Keith Moon and Neal Peart “The Professor”. All gone to soon but not forgotten. All four of these men were superb drummers and if you like great drummers listen to all four of them. Though if I was to suggest one to listen to next it would be Neal Peart with his band mates Rush playing Tom Sawyer. Next I would suggest Keith Moon with The Who” in BaBa O’Reiley. Then Ginger Baker with Cream playing “Toad”.
You’ve just had the privilege of hearing one of the greatest drummers, if not the greatest, to ever exist, there will never be another John (Bonzo) Bonham.
As for being 'loaded', I don't think they were (until Page got a "Rain" problem later. See also "Just a Box of Rain" (Grateful Dead) and "Fixing a Hole" (Beatles)). It's just their natural states of mind to write and play like this. Amazing,.isn't it?

Link below. :)

I agree! Do since I've Been Loving You !!!
Led Zepplin were my teen years. We had the greatest music through the 60's, 70's, and 80's. I saw Zepplin live in 1970 along with Iron Butterfly.
in a gadda da vida, Man
the music of my youth ! :)
Quote "this is trippy as heck. They're probably loaded"...😂 OMG! What an Understatement!!!🤣
Youngsters: gotta love when they find OUR MUSIC ✌🏻
You need to listen to more of their songs, absolutely fantastic 😊
Forty plus years on, I still get a tingling down my spine, hearing this, John Bonham, the drummer was said to have had the fastest hands in the business.
Since you're interested and liking this one, you owe it to yourself to fully immerse yourself in Zeppelin. Thee quinticential, most kick ass and diverse Rock band that ever was or ever will be. You'll be very happy you did 😍💚🙏💙
One of the best musical metaphors ever! Today in music everything is so explicit. I'll leave it up to your imagination.
Amazing..
Exactly! "Trippy as heck" Acid Rock, Psychedelic Rock...
Welcome to Rock'n Roll brotha!
Led Zeppelin were a supergroup all of the bandmembers one of the be if not the best on their instrument
You finally tripped into the Led Zeppelin rabbit hole. Just let yourself tumble into the groove that's Led Zeppelin.
To be honest, I don't believe you've ever heard of led zeppelin, but you still have my like. (Although I disapprove that the song was edited and is incomplete )
Maybe edited to avoid a Copyright strike?
You need to watch the Led Zeppelin movie, The Song Remains the Same. The drummer John Bonham really showed what he can do in that
My god. And I was never in to heavy rock back then. So brilliant. The 21st century has nothing remotely to compare with the performance and the atmosphere.
Led Zeppelin changed my life! Best Band EVER!
I suggest you dive deep into Zeppelin’s catalog because you won’t regret it.
Saw your thumbnail and had to come in to post: the Greatest Rock Band Ever.
I got to see them in '71, and they ROCKED!!!
Singer Robert Plan. Guitarist Jimmy Page. Bassis John Paul Jones (real name John Baldwin). Drummer John Bonham, aka Bonzo.
Whole Lotta Love released as a single in November 1969. 53 years ago!
They are just one of the greatest bands of all time. 💯🔥
Correction: THE greatest band of all time. 😉
"One of the greatest"..? I think you need to hear MOAR!
I saw them live in 1970. John's son, Jason Bonham, has followed in his father's footsteps and is an amazing drummer.
@@alecfed That must have been amazing! Yes, I've seen Jason perform, many years ago when he had a curly perm! He is very good but has massive shoes to fill. I live not too far from the Bonham estate and also Robert Plant, who I have seen out walking his dogs.
✨My all time favorite Led Zep song✨
I often try and pick a favourite but it's impossible. Kashmir, When the levee breaks, Four sticks. I love them all equally.
They are awesome 😎🔥
And then slow it down half a note to reinforce the feeling of pending doom...
I find it amazing that someone who's doing music reactions have never heard some of these iconic tracks.
GENUINE ADVICE: React to the ENTIRE discography, studio albums first, in chronological order. Then do the Live performances. You'll love it and get a lot of followers
In fact, I just SUBBED in order to get more zeppelin.
I do not recommend you just jump around doing tracks from different albums in non chronological order
No comment on the lyrics? WOW, direct and to the point. Great song.
It blows my mind when I see there are people out there who never heard of led zeppelin.
HI; my dear,
LED ZEPPELIN is the (very) british band, That revolutionized ehw Rock-Songs FOR EVER!!!
These musicians are absolutely top-notch. This production is some of their best work. Try "The Lemon Song" next, for more provocative material.
The best part was the mayonnaise on the sofa. LOL. Love Zeppelin.
LED ZEPPELIN I WAS LISTENING TO THEM IN THE 70'S MY BAND
John Bonham was a beast on drums. His death wrecked his friend Robert Plant, lead singer.
Start with the live movie. You'll never be the same, man! Unbelievable!!
You’ve just had the privilege of hearing one of the greatest drummers, if not the greatest, to ever exist, there will never be another John (Bonzo) Bonham.
If you never heard of Led Zepplin, you should check out the bands of the 60's & 70's. All of the music from that time is totally amazing.
As for being 'loaded', I don't think they were (until Page got a "Rain" problem later. See also "Just a Box of Rain" (Grateful Dead) and "Fixing a Hole" (Beatles)).
It's just their natural states of mind to write and play like this. Amazing,.isn't it?
