Guitarist is Jimmy Page.. he’s one of the top guitarists alive today.. and ever!! John Paul Jones is on bass and keys… he could play just about anything… they steamrolled the world during most of the 70s. BTW 2 of the surviving members of Queen (Roger Taylor/drums, and Brian May/guitar) are still touring and playing live.. with Adam Lambert as their front-man, replacing Freddie Mercury who died in 1991. You do know that John Bonham, JPJ and Robert were all married and had kids. A lot of what you hear is simply bs. It was a lot of hype. I'm not saying they didn't succumb to temptation, but they had wives at home they truly loved.
What the heck is going on? Jimmy is improvising live on stage. Bands do it all the time live. Steve Miller Band played Fly Like an Eagle for 20 minutes! The song is originally 3 minutes. I know because I saw them live.

Just to give you an idea of how popular they were..... when they played Knebworth for 2 nights in 1979, attendance the first night was 210,000 and the next night 180,000. So I can safely say there is no band that will ever come close to Zep.

They were influenced by the American and Southern Blues, so yes, this song is bluesy.
