Very simplistic view. If the gig employee can login, get a job, finish it and log out whenever he wants, then that's not how ab employer employee relation works. No company that employs someone will allow such haphazard working scheme where they have no idea of the available resources on hand. And claiming that the company controls a few aspects of the job is irrelevant since even contractors are bound by their contract (hence the name contractor) to follow certain criteria and objectives by their customer. The courts have never adjudicated that as an employer employee relationship so it fails the equal protection of law criteria.
Great content but I wish u had extended this video talking little more about Gig Economy itself and how this in modern digital age , is another mode of exploitation!
