Kid Kash used to live in East Nashville TN.. I worked for the local water department that serviced his address and I met him while I was working on a meter across the street from his house.. Needless to say, he was the coolest most down-to-earth wrestler I had ever met.. He ended up giving me his phone number, and I used to go over to his house while I was working in the area and just talk Pro Wrestling all the time.. He never acted too good, too busy, or anything and in hindsight I am a Wrestling Nerd so I knew shit about his career that he wasn't probably expecting along with all of the other stuff I'd ask him about.. HE WAS SOOO COOL DUDE!! Kid Kash if you read this, I was a bigger dude that worked for Madison Utility at the time in 2013-15, right after you left TNA.. You lived on Ardee Ave. at the time, in Inglewood.. I JUST WANT TO THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH for always being inviting too me and cool as hell too me!! I know I had to be annoying as shit, because I was a little fanboy but, you were so fun to talk too and pick your brain about Pro Wrestling!! I hope all is good with you my man!! You deserve anything good that goes your way dude, not only because I am a big fan, but because you were just cool as shit and humble as hell.. You could have told me to go KICK ROCKS, and NEVER DID!! I appreciate that more than you'll ever know dude.. Thanks!! Thank you too Chris for the interview!! Kid Kash is a REAL ONE!!
This is proof that our parents raised us right. When he would come home during the highest point of his wrestling career, I can remember him signing autographs for 30 mins to an hour and we were just going out to eat and have a drink. It didn't matter to him, the fans were the most important. Laid back guy that left this little town to live a dream!!! Proud of him is a understatement!!!!
In the early TNA years besides Low-Ki Kid Kash was the most intense X Division Wrestler in my opinion. The way he'd do avalanche suplexes, and slams on opponents was crazy.
This was not the interview I was expecting. One of my favourites of yours I've ever watched Chris, very inspiring. In the best possible way, he was the not the guy I thought he would be. I would be happy with a second interview somewhere down the line
Kid Kash was one of those guys that I loved back in the day. I thought he was going to be a star when I first saw him, and he probably would have been a big deal today, but he was ahead of his time. Guys his size just really didn't have a chance back then.
Such an awesome guy. He was friends with my dad’s half brother growing up and so when I was younger when he was in town and he was cruiserweight champ he let me come over and hold the belt and although I couldn’t really hold it on my own bc of how heavy it was and will forever be one of my favorite memories and all the stories I’ve heard about him and them growing up all sound like he was a goon to be around then so it’s good to know he’s doing well for himself. Thanks for another great interview Chris
I loved Kid Kash in TNA anytime he wrestled AJ it was always a classic an I would love to see him come in an do a surprise spot for a TNT championship match in AEW just like they were doing during the pandemic that be cool to see him vs Darby Allin 💯🔥
This is a Great podcast! I have a lot of respect for Cash wrestling and working construction at the same time. I grew up watching this guy. I have been watching old ECW Hardcore TV's from 2000. The Kid Cash gimmick and wrestling style always captivated me.
Im Stoked and i havnt pressed play yet ! He was doing a style 20 some years ago that most cant do right now ! LOL ! I love this guy, cant wait to get into this ! Thanks
Not talking about the amazing red matches bummed me out, but this interview made me love kash more than I ever did. He fucking rules and thanks for the vids and memories ❤
I'm currently doing a story mode in SVR2007 with Kid Kash. And eve. When I was a kid when SVR2007 came out, I always teamed Kash up with Gregory Helms and made them Tag Team Champions. I always thought they would've been a good tag team, probably better than Kash and Noble.
I remember being In the impact zone being in the front row being legit scared when he walk to the ring. he just looked like he was crazy and would fight you for real
so he made a great point... that its over saturated...example when ecw was just one hour... maybe kid kash wasnt on one week or for two weeks but when he was were you like oo like kid kash.. i missed him and you were invested
I've kept up with wrestling since 2003, and went back and watched so many matches and wrestlers from before I started watching, and for some reason, Kid Kash passed me by, even though I know I've seen him around. It's weird too, cause I know he was talented in the ring. I should check out more of his stuff. Anyway, this was a good chat as always, CVV. Kash seems like a chill guy. I will say, though, the one thing that slightly irked me was his outlook on the amount of women's wrestling in WWE. I personally have been loving the amount of time and matches that division has been getting across Raw, Smackdown, and NXT. I want AEW to improve in that same way with their women's division. Hell, that Hayter/Shida match is the kinda match I feel like Kash would like, and I'm not the only one interested in women's wrestling improving, considering the viewer numbers WoW is pulling at the moment. Doing better numbers than Impact at the moment (I love Impact, that's not a dig. Matter of fact, they've almost always had a good Knockouts division) and I think that's great. Hope all companies can keep growing in that sense.
Whoah ! Hey ! Was he the same Tyler Morton i saw in random territories in the 80s ???? Dressed like Ricky Morton ???? If so , i seen him live as a kid and didnt know it !
I agree with Kash here. The three hour format was not a big deal back then. I disagree with the reason though. No amount of wrestling is too much, as long as you have the talent and the booking to fill that time. In the 90s, WWE was packed with talent. Pretty much everyone on the roster was over to some degree, and all of them were being used in meaningful ways. They all had unique gimmicks, and wrestling styles varied from guy to guy. Today, there aren't many true stars in the business, and there are very few guys that truly stand out in any way. I catch a lot of flack for it, but I agree with Kash on women's wrestling. Women's wrestling was virtually non existent for several decades. It is beginning to recover, but there are not currently enough tv ready female wrestlers for every company to have a women's division and fill half their shows with women's wrestling. You just end up with a lot of bad wrestling that bores everyone to death. I think promotions are trying to put women's wrestling as a whole in a position that it is not yet ready to be in.
I get what he says about Football. But what bothers me are the commercial breaks. But as he said that there are so many time out or where the game stops, which is when they show the commercials, that I can't watch it and that's why I was never into it. Basketball is more my thing and als wrestling. And I also did some backyardwrestling as a kid. But dude, Piledrivers? I mean even if you don't know that is "fake", you must get a clue that they don't do it as it it looks! 😆
Kaah said he was too short to play basketball ?? Muggsy Bogues is 5'3" and played 14 years in the NBA. I'm the same height as Kash and I played basketball. But I'm glad he went a different route. Height doesn't matter unless you are dating a snobby lady who only cares about height 🤣🤣🤣
It looks like Kid Kash is wearing the prosthetics the Jackass guys wore in their movies lol..like he could claim to be Kid Kash's Republican father who tells his friends how "Kid's doing good - a lot better than I admittedly worried about but I'm proud of him - I guess I just..I still don't get it" lol
@@supersaturn956 not with that heavy southern accent he doesn’t . But yes I agree Billy didn’t have the mic skills so he had to rely on this wrestling skills to compensate
Kid Kash will always be one of the more underrated performers from ECW for me. Really enjoyed seeing his insane dives.
His height would never allow him to be big in WWE in my opportunity.
Kid Kash will forever be in my top 5 wrestlers. So so so underrated!
Living freaking legend. ECW & TNA Alumni. Respect.
No. Not even close

So cool to see he prepared himself for life after wrestling.
👏👏
Isn’t this the same scam another RUclipsr called out on their page
Finally we get to see and hear Kid kash. It's awesome.
Duuuude, I'm a Tricities TN native like Kid Kash!! You was always one of my favorites in ECW!!

Kid Kash was a badass. Legend status.
Kash had some swagger for such a small guy. It was pretty awesome
The Notorious KID
Love kid kash... super underrated

This was an awesome interview such a down to earth guy
Kash was one of my favorites to watch in the later days of ECW. The risk taking, the Kid Rock look. Great interview!

Kid Cash, what a great guy, interacted with him several times after the TNA matches in Orlando. He always had time for his fans.

I went back and watched one of KK's matches. Excellent worker with lots of wrestling MOVES! This guy is a relic!
Great video💯 loved RVD vs Kid Kash
The first guy I use when playing Smackdown vs Raw 2007
Watching him crowd surf to the ring to face Rhyno for a title match has to be one of my favorite bits of ECW nostalgia.
I wrestled a match in WWE against Kash and Noble back in May of 2006 ... learned a TON from him just in that ONE match. Such a great guy
Chris Wellman
Hi
I just finished playing as him in SVR 07 season mode, I even made a gameplay titantron with his ecw theme, what a trip down memory lane🌤
i always enjoyed kid kash and chris hamrick from ec dub! thanks for interviewing him

Kash's Hurricanrana in mid air of the top rope is one of the craziest moves I've seen. He was a huge influence on guys wrestling on more modern times.
He was WHC on my Smackdown bs Raw for a good while! Great interview!!

Agreed!
Kid Kash later became Daniel Craig, where he was a success as James Bond.

I went to school with kid cash’s son Tyler. He was a cool kid and a damn good wrestler in school
