It’s interviews like this that elevate the wrestling discourse to new heights. Kudos to both you and Adam for such an engaging conversation! #Edge #AEW #WrestlingLegend
Chris, I have watched many of these but this one with dam is by far my new all-time favorite. What a great guy! Well, actually that applies to BOTH of you! Chris, you have a trait that too many interviewers lack. Others listen waiting for an opportunity to speak. You do the complete opposite. You ask great questions and then you sit back and allow the other person to answer. You know when to interact without stepping on top of the other person. As for Adam, he is pretty damn amazing. The excitement in his voice and in his eyes when he talks about what he is doing in AEW is a beautiful thing. Kudos Chris on one of the greatest interviews that you've ever done. Thank you for doing so.
One of the greatest pro wrestling careers ever! I remember when him & Christian first broke up in 2001 & that fued. 2002-03, as part of the Smackdown 6. Just starting to breakout into the IC Title-Main event scene in 05-06. Now, he's a multiple time World Champ and an ALL TIME great! Much respect to the RATED R SUPERSTAR!! 🤟
CVV and Adam Copeland, great interview! I have always been a fan of Edge and now a fan of him as himself in AEW. Adam Copeland is the biggest jump to me that went to AEW and he’s by far the biggest untapped star they have. Although I’m happy he had that TNT title stuff with Christian Cage, I think that would’ve been so much better if it had been for the AEW title. AEW needs a real leader and strong character as their world champion and although I like Swerve, he should be the TNT champion and Copeland should be AEW champion. Much like Adam Copeland, I’m also glad Christian Cage got another shot to rewrite his career ending too. If they had a long term rivalry over the AEW title, that would make all AEW shows must see. And maybe the younger generation of talents would learn how to tell stories and wrestle safely from watching E&C tear it up.
Huge Edge fan, my whole entire life! First saw him compete live at Fatal Four Way 2010 (wish way sooner) & lastly at Worlds End. Hopefully at FD, again, legend!
Orangeville boy here i remember Adam, Jason, Nick, John, Greg, and all the other boys. Super proud and glad that I got the chance to know them ODSS 4ever!
Always remember edge stated that his time in aew is the highlight of his career. TLC, MITB, Cena feud, Taker feud, Rated RKO??? No, wrestling Lee Morialty and Daniel Garcia is the highlight of his career.
understand the context, wwe was in his prime, then they told him u r done (wrestling wise) with us... he is still hungry to wrestle (not $, wwe wouldave gave him close to aew) and AEW gives him that platform to continue his dream... simple really...
All the idiots on the internet saying Adam needs to be in WWE and he’s having a terrible time in AEW. No he has a choice where he wants to be and he’s doing what he wants to.
I never understood why people say that. He had a wholesome ending in Toronto with wwe but what else was there for him to do? The landscape in WWE was changing and look what both Damien and Rhea have become since then. World champs
Yeah gotta admit, as much as a shitshow AEW has been recently because of Tony Khan, at least Edge had a reason to go to AEW that’s not along the lines of “Fuck WWE”, he’s already done everything in WWE, there’s not much left for him to do anymore, so what’s left is that he should retire with his friend, Christain who is in AEW.
@@sonomni Honestly id say Dynamite has gotten better Collision is getting there and Rampage is yea rampage i mean what else can i say. Again just my opinion but a big reason i think that is because they've managed to get actual locker room leaders in Danielson and Copeland. Who can hash out whatvever goes down instead of letting it boil over.
My dad was the big positive influence in my life that helped me turn out as the man I am today, so it was surprising to me to learn that Adam never met his dad. That means his mom is amazing! What a superb job she did. Adam is seriously one of the most admirable humans I've ever seen. He's kind, compassionate, hard working, sweet, tough, down to earth, coconscious, dependable, openminded, and just a good human being. He's a role model. His mom should be very proud, and I'm sure she is. ❤
It's great to see Adam Copeland - Edge - get to finish his career in the way that he wants it to finish. He and Christian both deserve it. The show must go on at WWE, and WWE is smart to roll out new stars every couple of years. There isn't room for everyone everywhere, so it's good that we now have an alternative for wrestling non TV (AEW) where wrestlers like Adam Copeland, Bryan Danielson, Christian, and (for course) STING can end their careers on high notes and on their own terms. And Chris Jericho too. Yes.. him too.
Seattle native here! Adam Copeland, Edge has always been one of my favorites to watch of all time, I’ve been a wrestling fan since around 2016, and I went to the WrestleDream show that happened back in October and obviously I heard about the Edge joining AEW rumors before the WrestleDream and it was me and my dad who went to the show that night and I was taking to him before the night before the show and just talking to him about the rumors and his thoughts was basically like a “yeah it would be really cool” type of thing, and then the night came and the Christian and Darby match was the main event, and I was just thinking “man he has gotta show up” and while Sting is in the ring trying to save Darby and getting beat up then the lights going black and seeing the entire video package of the old fashioned car and the Mariners fireworks night, which I was at as well, and seeing the car stop at the arena, I was just thinking “holy sh*t he is here.” And then seeing him coming out to Metalingus, and seeing him live for the first time is most definitely my favorite moment I’ve ever seen live at a Wrestling show and up there for one of my favorite moments I’ve been at ever. Just insanity that night was. Thank you Adam Copeland for a great night of wrestling capped with a memory for life.
The Adam copen with Matt cardona was my favorite AEW match. Just seeing the beginning an for me to stay a fan all these years to see that beautiful story being told
The whole thing about tribalism is spot on. People love to hate on AEW for some petty reasons. Like ok, sure sometimes their production can be a bit iffy, but for a 4/5 yr old company, they still have some learning and experimenting to do, people forget that. WWE has been around for like 70 years, cut AEW some slack, their product is GOOD for what it is. Also the more companies the better, WCW was good for business, peak TNA was good for business, AEW is good for business. You keyboard warriors need to touch grass.
No place is b******* I miss the days when I ran home from work and wanted to watch aew although I do enjoy certain moments I haven't enjoyed one week the last 2 years except for maybe pay-per-views they need to get WWE out of their mouth TK is his worst enemy

Lol I read your first sentence as "One of the pro wrestling careers ever!" 😂
But I agree
My favorite wrestler of all time and my favorite interviewer on the internet. The GOAT connection I never even imagined I wanted 🤯🤯🤯
So many Great Wrestlers from Canada!!
So many!
Great interview Chris. Hes my favorite of all time and this was a retrospective like no other. Appreciate it.
45:40 Cope sums up marriage so effortlessly. No wonder this guy was always brilliant on the mic!
If that sums up marriage for you, that's sad.
My favourite Canadian wrestler. Adam great. Face or Heel he's awesome.
When Adam mentioned a guy standing on concrete all day I felt that. The last 10+ years I know that feeling.
Another fanatic interview. Man, Adam is such a great humble guy!
Edge returning during the 2020 RR was a great night, after a day that started off tragic with Kobe’s death.
i will always love this man no matter what he chooses to do with his career. truly a legend in every sense of the word
Aew is such a fucking joke lol. Glad. Everyone is making good money though.
understand the context, wwe was in his prime, then they told him u r done (wrestling wise) with us... he is still hungry to wrestle (not $, wwe wouldave gave him close to aew) and AEW gives him that platform to continue his dream... simple really...
@@EndOfIt No, in his prime he was forced to retire due to his neck.
@@EndOfIt what a complete false statement.
If Edge feels that way then it is his feeling. Just because he had bigger matches in wwe doesn't mean his perspective needs to be the same as ours.
i LOVE the Rated R spinner belt, it’s a damn shame we didn’t get a longer run with it 😢
I walk into the gym. See this new interview on Chest day. It’s going to be a good day. Have a good day everyone. Much Love. ❤
Chris - another awesome and insightful interview. Your love of wrestling always shows in your interviews.
Oh damn. Good to see Edge, hadn’t seen him since he retired and dropped off the face of the earth last year after his match with Sheamus!
That "Adam Copeland" guy in AEW kinda ripped off his stuff, wonder how Edge feels about it.
Wow what an interview. Just awesome.
Nah he is a traitor
@@SWOTHDRA bit tribal but aight
My dad was the big positive influence in my life that helped me turn out as the man I am today, so it was surprising to me to learn that Adam never met his dad. That means his mom is amazing! What a superb job she did. Adam is seriously one of the most admirable humans I've ever seen. He's kind, compassionate, hard working, sweet, tough, down to earth, coconscious, dependable, openminded, and just a good human being. He's a role model. His mom should be very proud, and I'm sure she is. ❤
I'm not from Canada, but I do know Tim Hortons...
Shout Out, Straight Pipes 🔥
This is one of the best interviews I've ever watched
This one really sent me over the Edge!
Ohh Dude 😂
It's great to see Adam Copeland - Edge - get to finish his career in the way that he wants it to finish. He and Christian both deserve it. The show must go on at WWE, and WWE is smart to roll out new stars every couple of years. There isn't room for everyone everywhere, so it's good that we now have an alternative for wrestling non TV (AEW) where wrestlers like Adam Copeland, Bryan Danielson, Christian, and (for course) STING can end their careers on high notes and on their own terms. And Chris Jericho too. Yes.. him too.
got a long one today!
Thanks for the shout out Adam, from a St.johns Newfie
Edge seems like a great person.
I can’t even put into words how much I admire this man! A true legend and role model ❤✨🙌🏼 thanks for another great interview, Chris!
I love how edge is wearing a Alice In Chains shirt😂😂😂
6'4 and 230 pounds being considered a smaller guy....that is actually huge by most conventional standards

The Adam copen with Matt cardona was my favorite AEW match. Just seeing the beginning an for me to stay a fan all these years to see that beautiful story being told
BRUH you just dropped a Pipe Bomb
Easily my favourite interview Chris. Much love from another good ol’ Canadian boy in Nova Scotia!
Exactly, well said! I wish more people would realize this! 👏👏👏👏👏
No place is b******* I miss the days when I ran home from work and wanted to watch aew although I do enjoy certain moments I haven't enjoyed one week the last 2 years except for maybe pay-per-views they need to get WWE out of their mouth TK is his worst enemy
Nah not that victim shit..Tony started it right out of the gate..
I remember Edge returning at SummerSlam 2019, I screamed so loud my brain I almost passed out, I couldn’t even focus on the next match or anything for about 20 minutes, wild.
26:00 choosing AEW or WWE
Awesome interview again love Adam he's the best and so are u Chris keep up the great work
