7 days x 3 meals a day = 21 ….if you’re Asian, our breakfast isn’t a continental breakfast . …. Soooo at 12 , we still have room for more . LOL 😂 I am going to try this ….and teach my nephew since he loves my taco bowl . The cashews are going to cost him $$$ . He’s a student. Can you please do a series for university students for quick and tasty meals? For guys …they eat hearty and filling meals . ( girls can eat salad and be satisfied… but not men ). If he can cook 7 student budget friendly meals that are quick and tasty and can cook in bulk , he would do ok at university. Burger King , Popeyes , etc .. fast food costs $$$ and unhealthy. Thank you Yeung Man …. Please give it some consideration.
I’m 63 and vegan for 8 years. I was eating a lot of starches when I first went vegan. At my age, due to slower metabolism and hormonal changes, it is easy to gain weight. I gained weight eating all those starches. I went primarily raw vegan for about 8 months and lost 40 pounds. But I missed dishes like the one in this video. Recently, I started one meal a day (OMAD) and reintroduced starches into my diet. I follow Dr. John McDougall’s “The Starch Solution.” My best friend’s husband cowrote some portions of Dr. Joel Fuhrman’s “Fast Food Genocide,” so I follow Dr. Fuhrman’s recommendations as well. During the day, I drink my own zero-calorie electrolyte water. Then I eat a nice big dinner like the one in this video. I take about 2 hours to make sure I’m getting enough calories and nutrients while eating vegan. (Note: Those consuming animal products on OMAD can usually get all their nutrients and calories in a 1-hour eating window.) I feel full, satiated, and fine until dinner time the next day. My weight is good and I take no medications.
I just discovered you quite by accident and watched the whole thing out of pure curiosity. I love the presentation, voice, imagery- everything. But I also love the layers of seasoning you add to everything. You didn’t just rinse and dump the beans, or simply boil the rice like others do. So much care and pride of ownership went into making this dish 🙏🏾
10/10! We just made this for lunch and I can honestly say we’ve tried at least 20 different vegan burrito bowl recipes and this one is THE BEST! Thank you!

I’ve been incorporating more and more vegan recipes in to our diet and your channel has been easy to get my husband to eat and not complain. He just survived a massive heart attack and a quad bypass so these changes are essential to his longevity
@@janetabrowne5719 Thank you and me too, he's rebounding beautifully but he's also young so some of that is to be expected but it is also meaning bigger fights about long term changes that will need to stay throughout his life and him being bitter about missing out on items he typically loves. I am suggesting therapy and his surgeon has given him a case manager to help me and to help him
Don’t forget Dr Esselstyn’s book. His studies on the worst, near death patients shows you truly can bring your husband back from near death to healthy!
5 stars! Made last night, finished leftovers this evening. Made 6 good size servings. Fabulous flavor, clean eating. A fair amount of prep work, but well worth it.
I make something similar at home regularly. I love your rice recipe and will try it next time. To be honest the cost of all those ingredients will add up to about 1 dinner at Chipotle, but with homemade you can eat it for a few days. It's a very budget friendly meal that is the gift that keeps on giving!!!

When my kids were little they wanted hamburger helper but I refused to buy box food for them cuz I knew what was in it. So I started to make them a homemade version , they loved it! They would ask for it at least once a week. Now I’m ready to make it for me but this time I’m making your version 💙 Thank you !

Made this yesterday and it was absolutely delicious. Can't get this flavor and quality and ingredient control at a restaurant. I did an upgrade on pinto beans though. Soaked the superb Montelores from Colorado overnight, InstantPot 20 min. Rice and onion/garlic/jalapeno/spice saute went into a Cuckoo and allowed the cook some time to socialize with a hungry spouse over wine. Spouse did eat half of salsa prepared for the dish... opened some chips and just went for it. So do make extra!
Tried this recipe out, and it was exceptionally good. Takes a while to make (as most recipes do the first time you make them). Had to make 3 small subs based on ingredients I had: used a bundle of Thai chilis for more spice, chipotle chili powder instead of sweet paprika, & avocado in the cilantro sauce instead of cashews as a fat.

We have a couple older episode where teriyaki sauce is used, however not as the main star of the dish. Definitely an opportunity to play around with a recipe 👌🏻
