I will say the Winchester safes will survive a fire. We had a house fire in January and lost just about everything but what was in the safe. The smell was horrific from the smoke getting into the safe but it saved everything.
That sale is back on, and I ran across this video, and your comment, while researching to see if it was worth it. Good to know this safe has a good reputation. Good chance to pick it up on the Labor Day sale.

@PedroGutierrez-qy2ze there wasn't a whole lot of difference. The main reason I got the winchester was because the door on the cannon wouldn't open past about 90° because of thr way its mounted. The winchester opened up a lot further.
@RollinThankful I can't help you there, sorry. I don't have mine in yet. They had to order it. The only one I saw was in-store and it was already bought and paid for so I didn't really get to look at it close enough to see any hole for wiring.
I didn't want to tell him that he could of got the larger model at tractor supply for $500. 😅 🥺🥺 When the landlord wants to keep his security deposit, for drillin the floor, he should see if he could leave the safe, to get his deposit back, + upgrade to the larger one. 😏 😁 👍

Me too! They just delivered mine and it was supposed to be delivered on a Tuesday. It came on a Friday of course when I was out of town. My fault for depending on the estimated delivery time. The delivery company did not call us to let us know they delivered it. They never came to the door to see if we were home. I just happened to see it on my porch camera. Now we have placed it in our home but we can’t get the thing to lock. I’m hoping they didn’t damage anything.

Nice video … wish you showed how to install shelves and the track system but still a cool video. It is not water proof is fire proof for 30 minutes but not smoke proof. The door will just lift up and off the hinges and weights about 90lbs so when you move just open the door and lift it up!

I do intend on calling the manufacturer but my safe is exactly like yours. It won’t lock! We have tried everything. We were able to correctly change the code to our own code but it won’t lock. Any tips?
Not recommended. I have had this safe for 1 year and it forgot my combination when changing the battery. When I tried to reset the code, it doesn't remember my previous combination, which prevents me from entering a new code. Followed instructions in the bare/minimalist manual and online, but to no avail. Maybe due to the fact it sits in a basement, but the area is fairly dry due to dehumidifier. Very disappointed, may call warranty service but for now, its backup key only. Would recommend a Hornady safe, which I've had for years without disappointment.

Can you expound on this a bit further? I've looked at it in person but I'm not sure what they cheap out on besides steel thickness (gauge) and a regular electronic lock that's not UL rated. But you can't really get that unless you spend $1k at the minimum.
@@motopolak so the door rattles and shakes when it’s locked. It just doesn’t feel very secure to be honest. Also I have two rifles on there and it nearly maxes that side out

They say there is a hole in the back for electric, but I don't see one, do you all know? Nothing in the manual.

Also they literally left it at the end of our driveway.

Combination Lock is better and make sure you bolt and or secure the safe to the floor to maximize the security.
