The BEST part, and lesson here, is that they don't shoot for nothing. We saw that with the clay shooting. They didn't shoot when they threw the clays and saw it was going to be in vain. That's what makes a great shooter in my opinion.
@@billbouley5164 A partridge is very fragile, so easy to kill. And you get them at close range 99% of the time. The best is a .410. There are some double barrels too and some with .22 rifle and .410 shotgun combined, but they are not the norm. Single shot .410 is the most common and very efficient for small games. However, if you can't afford more than one "weapon" and want to hunt ducks as well (for example), then you may want to go for shotgun gauge 12 and use 7 1/2 which is plenty enough to kill a partridge. Good and SAFE hunting🎯
Jerry is the only person that can hold off an army on a bass boat with cases of ball ammo. If your close enough to hear a beep than pray because your already down.
This is a rare moment watching Jerry come unglued, who would have thought he would be rattled by his own daughter ! He is obviously a good father and has passed on his competitive spirit to her. A very loving father/daughter relationship !
Big props to Jerry for showing us he's human! A lot of pros will refuse to do something they arent good at on camera, especially if they have a reputation like Jerry's!!

Lena and Jerry are just outstanding teachers. Always patient and caring and never humiliating their students. I think what's clear here is that practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice makes a Miculek. And probably a couple of genes mixed in
Imagine if your dad is made of practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice. Then you get to learn from someone who's already learned so much. On top, both Lena and Jerry are so competitive it becomes a catalyst for improvement. Really cool to see their passion, there's no other way they'd have this much fun still.
I love when Lena is doing the "tears down the cheeks". She obviously loves her dad, and he obviously loves her. That warms my heart like nothing else can.
Jerry's "yard sale" had me laughing my ass off; he seems like a ton of fun to shoot with. Lena getting some ribbing on dad was pretty good too (LM Pro, LOL).

Jerry is so proud and kinda angry at the same time. It’s awesome, Lena will destroy all his records and hopefully Jerry will see her do it. Every father wants his children to do better then him, but the good ones won’t make it easy.
That had to be a day of fun. Three living legends each in their field competing and sharing tips. Lena is such a cute, happy ball of energy, she could make taking the trash out fun.

Great video. this just shows what a great allrounder champ jerry is .the top of his field , a great dad and a humble man. He should be very proud of what he has achieved proud of his daughter and who he is. This doesn't happen by accident. A great role model.
Jerry's right about the thumbs. I can relate. He's just stating the facts. She's got the advantage and incorporates it into an incredible technique. I bet she can text 10 times faster than him. It helps when your thumb only covers one letter at a time.
The best thing about this video is how much fun everybody is having while making it. All the great wonderful personality from everybody competing is just hilarious fun to watch. Hearing my 11-year-old daughter say ooo when Lena fired off that first series was beautiful. Thanks for the content.

I’m familiar with Jerry… seen his various videos displaying his remarkable speed with firearms for years… but had no idea his daughter was involved in competition shooting. Nice to see a great father- daughter relationship: having fun together in something they both love. I love my daughters, Hopefully we can have relationships such as this when they mature. This is one of my prayers 🙏
I have the highest respect for Jerry and his daughter both. They are fine marksmen and they are crazy fast to boot! A lot of range time was spent perfecting their craft. And the scary part of all this is that not only are they incredibly fast on the draw but they are also dead accurate. A wicked combination.

That quad load of Lena's is some miracle level manual dexterity. Amazing stuff that was worth rewinding. It's so quick it sounds like a double load. What's interesting that I noticed is that Steve's advice about speed and having the right starting position for throwing the clays before shooting is pretty parallel in principle as Jerry's approach for bringing a pistol(edit: or any handgun) quickly from the holster to firing position rapidly and efficiently -- instead of a wide sweep with the arm extended it's a shorter more efficient motion where it's like throwing a jab but stopping short of full extension. Great video and very enjoyable. Thanks to you all.
You are one very fortunate man! And, Steve, you just made the rest of the shooting world so incredibly jealous. I think all of us would love to be able to be in your shoes, shooting with these amazing people out on their land (and did you get to use their ammo?). It doesn't get much better than that!! (My time with Jerry and Lena (and my two brothers) at the Sig Academy ranks as one of my all time favorite events ever. Great teachers and wonderful people.)

I met Lena at SECOND CHANCE COMBAT SHOOT, but I’m sure she doesn’t remember me. She was just a few weeks (months?) old, sound asleep in her carrier in the midst of lots of gunfire thunder, wearing her tiny ear-pro. 👊😎

I never fail to be dumbfounded by this. Total talent! With my fingers it would take me 4 hours 20. Worse still, at the range they chrono me with a sand timer. Oh well.

Nice tips, I wonder though, when you throw clays, you start shooting the top clay. Wouldn't it be easier to start shooting the bottom clay, the rest will fall down in your aiming point. It's just a thought

I actually shot in the same squad as Jerry at this year's Texas 3 gun championship, he can still rock and shoots stupid fast even at his age.

Jerry was on a demo cd for Bernelli shotguns the first time I saw him. He could throw 7 clays in the air and hit them all.
