- In this video I will be taking you through my life as an Urgent Care Physician Assistant. This was my first job out of PA school and I am working closely with my supervising physician. I have been practicing as an Urgent Care PA for about 5 months now, seeing my own patients. I take focused HPIs, perform focused physical exams, perform procedures, order and interpret labs/imaging, diagnose and treat illnesses.
I am excited to drop this video, as it has been long awaited. I want to give you more content related to work as an urgent care PA, so please let me know in the comments what footage you would like to see!!!

COMMENT ANYTHING YOU WANT TO SEE IN FUTURE VIDEOS. if I didn’t address something you were hoping to see, let me know ❤️
This is kinda out of left field but can you do a video exclusively on meal prepping?
Do a vlog like violinmd
I'd love to see a budget video, like learning to balance rewarding yourself for all your hard work in PA school while also tackling student loans and adult expenses!
can you do a detailed week in your life and included your cat
I really appreciate your videos! They have helped me navigate as I finish up my last couple months of PA school.
Quick question! Or this might be a good video for the future. How was your transition from a new graduate into working in Urgent Care? I want to work in UC or EM but am looking for a location that has at least 1 attending or another provider there during my shift. I just had an interview at a local UC clinic and was told that I would be the only provider there. Kind of scary for a new graduate but I would love to hear about your experience in UC as a new graduate :)
She was mad hyped on the first day and progressively got tired asf 😅
The amount of character development from being a PA student to a now licensed urgent care PA is astonishing. Healthcare have really changed your aura, demeanor and personality.
Good or bad?
do you enjoy it?
So glad you are back!! I am about to finish my first semester of PA school (anatomy is kicking my butt) but your videos always help me look forward to what comes next!
Great video by the way. I am an unemployed PA-C (two years). I loved taking care of Px during my ER clinical rotations. Getting pertinent info, cleaning woundss, anesthizing wounds and suturing were my favorites. I remembered having a suicidal 20 y/o female Px who cut herself with broken ceramic on the left ant. forearm from the radial wrist diagonally up to the elbow (ulna side). I remembered speaking to her with innate compassion and empathy 🙏.
Just finished paying off part of my student loans (amazon, ubereats and doordash deliveries). Luckily as an engineer and self taught car repair guy, i fix my car to keep the overhead down 🙏. Poverty is no joke. Where I am, it is highly competitive to find a PA position. I currently volunteer at a pediatrician office doing MA stuff. He can't afford ro hire me but will give me a high recommendation . He is a great doctor because he is extremely nice and works the low income communities 😊
That's BS. You shouldn't settle. If you're a licensed PA, be one & don't fall for excuses
I would love to see a Q&A post about working as a new grad PA and challenges you have found, your relationships with your team, and common things you see on a day-to-day basis!
You have been inspiring me through all these videos. Congratulations & Great content !! Please keep making all such vlogs so we could learn what to expect as a PA-C
I’m so excited for you! I love watching your videos and I can’t wait until I start my program in the fall❤️❤️
Hey, Danny so glad you got that routine down! @ 8:11 I was like "aaaand there she goes!" So excited for you!
You’re motivation for every one of your subs. Great content!
I’m a speech therapist in acute care (NY ) - love day in the life of med professionals and any positivity about health care jobs ! Keep it up!

Yay, so happy you’re back ♥️
I think I would LOVE urgent care!!! Thank you for sharing this! I hope I’m an amazing PA. I literally read up on everything I can when I have time in undergrad.

As a pre-pa student I really appreciate this video. Great one!
Hi Dani, Love the intro and video, Thanks for posting I learned alot!!
Also work in an UC as a R.T.(R). I've been there for almost 2 years now. Love my job and coworkers. The P.A. there has bestowed tons of knowledge upon me and wants me to go back for P.A. I am 41, have 2 young kids, and a new home, which makes the thought of going back to school seem impossible. I have mulled over it for a few months and decided against it. Glad I found your channel. Awesome content. By the way, we need another P.A. here!
this is the video i needed. congrats on the job 🥳
My worst fear when I officially become a PA, is to be asked a question I should know the answer to but do not. Imposter syndrome is real!
Just say IDK!! But will find out for you.
God bless you for sharing your experience 💕
I’m so proud of you❤️
Love day in the life videos! More plzzz
I’m so proud of you💕
From Saudi Arabia🌺
Glad to see you back and in action! I start PA school this year and have been grounded by your videos lol! I would love for you to discuss your work/life balance so far
Congrats !!
I’m a PA too, pack my lunch, and reuse plastic bags! Lol You earned 1 subscriber here ❤️
Great video, love the channel

Yay Dani!!
Hey danny your vlogs are great ..can you please post videos a little often if you can cause i really enjoy your videos 😊
That’s awesome beautiful! 🫶🏻🙌🏼
Hi Dani! Loved your video as always! I was wondering where your sports bra is from? It's super cute! (the beige one that you wore under your scrubs) Thank you! :)
Congratulations on being a PA
You’re so gorgeous!!! Like really you’re such a doll :)
Really enjoy watching your videos! This is random, but do you know where you got that pink tumbler from? I think you put a smoothie in it during your meal prepping! (:
After becoming a Medic I will consider becoming a PA. Thanks for the video.
I’m starting a UC position this October. They have single provider clinics as well as multiple provider clinics. My question is what is your typical pt volume. They expect 3-4 pts per hour which can seem daunting for a new grad. Any tips to make the transition a bit smoother would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
Thank you Dani for this informative video! I have been job hunting for a few months now and am considering an urgent care position as a new graduate PA! However, I have heard a lot of horror stories about the lack of supervision, liability, and improper/rushed training in the UC setting.
How did you tackle this and do you always have an SP on-site with you? I was told my practice trains their PAs to become independent providers by their 6th-10th week of training and SPs will not be on-site 24/7, but they can be reached via phone. Is your practice similar? If so, do you believe it is doable or highly risky? I would appreciate any tips!!
Where are your black Scrubs with the (rose gold??) detailing from?! I work in healthcare and its so hard finding cute scrubs like those! Would love to get myself a pair!!
is the pay worth it for PA? what do you think? btw i’m glad ur back 💖
Now i am doing mbbs in good University thanks for motivation
Hey, I loved the video! I was actually looking going into EC as a PA, but was curious how the whole situation between you and the supervising physician worked? Do you find yourself working with mostly autonomy, or do you work closely with them?
cool!
I got my daughter a suture pad when she was 13, at 16 she's a has masterd it. She's looking into PA..
Do you drive a 10th gen civic-sport?? I think I recognize the interior ☺️
Do you mind talking about how many hours a week do you work? What does a week schedule look like
Will you please do an updated Q&A now that you've been working as a PA-C for nearly 6 months !!
Great idea!
Hello! Question, is there any way you could outline the classes you took in nova? I want to apply there I am wondering what your undergrad classes were and the pre pa program that’s available there. Thank you so much
Wow, its been that long sense your last video, time is moving so fast. Congrats on the job and the DOT! I'm curious as to what your responses have been when you come in Vs A doctor. I personally love getting a PA because they feel so much more chill and caring. I know there are 30 and 15 minutes appointments but still, PA's are Shezzit lol.
Hey, Danny! I love your videos a whole lot. I’m currently in college and pursuing the PA path. However, could you address how to deal with imposter syndrome? I personally feel like I’ll never get to my goal, & it seems soooo far away🥺
stop believing you can't succeed... if I did it you can too.
could u do a video about how you maintained a relationship during pa school/career??
LOVE THIS👏 #influencer
Good video, the best decision I made as a physician assistant was to create a side hustle for extra income streams. It has really helped me and my family financially stable.
is it because you found that the PA salary wasn’t enough?
@Maria Bryant I made a couple of investments but my investment in forex and crypto has been yielding good profits and I don't think of stopping anytime soon. Investment is key.
Stock, forex, crypto currency, Real Estate, hedge funds and ETFs are good investments as well 😊
Nice one 👏
@Maria Bryant I had similar experience until I met Timothy Scott Taylor my FA, investment or trading is not what you do without proper guidance. He handles all my investment and trading activities and makes sure my portfolio is diversified into various sectors of the market.
Where did you get your scrubs from in the first shift?
Where are the green scrubs from ? :)
DOT what is this test ?? Will you have to do ongoing studies while practicing
I wish that had become doctor 😊 same to you I love you
wtf
I'm an Urgent Care PA too. Practicing about 11 months now. Do you get patient's that question your knowledge or credibility when you're not wearing a white coat? I just so happened to notice that when I'm not in my white coat, I find that I have to reiterate the things I counsel patients. It's as if they don't trust what I'm saying. I'm probably over-thinking it, but I've been wearing my white coat more often now cause I just don't have the time to sit there and repeat myself 3 times when wait times are almost 2 hours hahaha
Where are you located because I would love to be a UC PA!! I feel like here in IL it’s all NPs
What is the review course that you’re doing??? Thank you!
Good to see those bags under your eyes have seceded
The white coat stain is like a right of passage
Do PA have to renew their licence every 4 years...please answer this question
what kind of procedures do you do in an urgent care setting?
Are you comfortable sharing how much you make now?
Omg you type at the speed of light lol I tried typing w all my fingers but I can't haha 😅 I just type w my 2 fingers
Hi, Im sorry, but your suture technique is incorrect. Try to pull the suture in direction of the wound to knot correctly.
Greetings from Germany,
Dr. C, MD
