    I am a PA student in my second year of PA school. I am currently on my 6th out of 9 rotations. I will be taking you through my pediatric rotation (6 weeks long) from the perspective of a Pediatric PA student on clinical rotations.
    This rotation was super fun. Working with kids is definitely not easy. My responsibilities in this office were: taking a history, performing a physical exam, oral case presentations to the preceptor, preparing and administering vaccines, drawing blood, documentation (subjective, objective, assessment and plan), and writing prescriptions.
    I will be graduating in about 3 months as a certified physician assistant. I currently attend Nova Southeastern University's PA program.

      @@self-Development-Diaries-k4413 Thats because you´ve been (like we´ve all been) indoctrinated with this profitable , determinable way of education aswell as how some with greater intentions want others to live their life so they profit of it. Basicly being a tiny sheep among a big herd. If you see education as personal growth instead of working for others, doing what others want from you etc. you´ll be better off. In my country, the educational system is a bureaucratic disaster and basicaly still functions in a way to produce obedient citizien in an ancient authoritarian state. Forget about all of this. You have an average lifespan of 75 years, use it for yourself, for your growth, for your wellbeing, for what you want and how you please instead of focusing what others expect from you in a corporate world that some still want to hold tight on but is slowly collapsing - higly the case in the USA more than anywhere else. Humans used to educate themself over the course of their life, grew with it. Working was for the lowest of a soceity. It shifted and made a 180 degree turn and sooner or later we will again adapt to similarities from anciet greece with less work (machines where they can be implemented) and more free time for yourself and your friends and family.

    I wanna thank you for these videos. I'm a very VERY non-traditional student and I was dreading the process of going back to Med School (dropped out years ago to take care of my father). Being a PA-C is looking like a much more attractive option, and it was never about the money it was the end result...I still would've LIKED to have been called Dr....but I can always get a PhD later....I think the big selling point for me, is the possibility of switching specialties, and the work/life balance. I've slaved away and worked my tail off in my current career, and it's time for a change.

      @@JMarieCAlove because they're cheap and easy to use for untrained people who just want to make easy money. Professional piercers use needles. Go to any piercing/tattoo parlor and see for yourself. They don't use a piercing gun to pierce eyebrows, nipples, noses!

    About the throat cultures… I wouldn’t be too harsh because I have a hard time with them!! And that’s okay most of the time I cant even get one done they’re really one of my worst fears and even for some other people so pls don’t try and hold patients down!

    • @alyssabernal7637
      @alyssabernal7637 3 года назад

      If she was in pediatrics and she had to get a throat culture of the throat, I can almost guarantee that child is gonna be kicking, and screaming, which makes it hard to get the throat culture and could result in potentially harming themselves or the other nurses. Some things, and especially in pediatrics just needs to be done in order to get the job done. 🤷‍♀️

    Hello, it is true that in order to work as a doctor in the United States, after graduating from university you have to study 4 more years in a medical school?

    • @princess287love
      @princess287love 3 года назад

      Yep, and after that you have 3-7+ years of residency

      4 years of bachelor's then 4 years of medicine (counts as a master's) and then residency that can go from 4 years to 7. So total is minimum 12 years

    I don't know if you're aware of this topic but if you are, would you mind covering scope creep? NPs trying to practice independently, which pushes PAs to do the same, yada yada
