    My opinion:
    If you find a racket which gives you control, means you trust it, and you need a bit more power, look for the string setup. Put a gut hybrid in and test for a while…maybe you’ll find a „new“ racket in your hands…😊

    Hello Tennisnerd and amazing video comparisons! I have a simple but fundamental question: being a defensive player that, when he can, would like to attack or going to the net, would be better a blade v9 98 16x19 or a 100 16x19? I know the 100 is easier, but maybe on the net can be less maneuverable? And I hope also about groundstrokes the passage wouldn't be too problematic, being for the last 2 years a blade 100 v8 player.
    Thank you and hope you can help me!

      I have tested the gravity mp and the blade 8, both great feeling, even if different. Both good for control, gravity mp a bit easier to play, but too light for me. Bigger sweetspot on the gravity, more stability on the blade. More spin for the gravity, more plow through with the blade. Hope that helps

    Wilson need to change string pattern for 98-16/19 like on BladePro or UltraPro. Currently, the best version of Blade is 98-18x20, because response of the ball is predictable. The strings on central part of 16/19 are too close. And if you hit little bit offcenter, the launch angle will change dramatically which couses of unstability especially for soft frame.

  • @hubalou
    @hubalou 6 месяцев назад

    Comparing to pro staff v14, blade 16x19 has to soft frame and poor control, sometimes ball launches way back to the fance, 18x20 is way better control, more suitable for heavy hitters

    I have demoed many, many , rackets and am still looking for THAT 1, but the other day i was playing against a new person and they were using a blade 104, and after the match, i asked if he wanted to hit with my racket and then i would hit with his, and OMG i could not believe the feeling of the 104, the stability,dampness of it was amazing, so now i want to demo more rackets like the 104, in your expert opinion what are the models in Head, Babolat, yonex, dunlop lines that would have the same feeling as the 104?

    I got a V8 this December (Price was $25 lower than today's discounted price) It feels stiff, as if it is 65 or 66 (I am using Velocity strung at 56/54) I know that Wilson's quality control is poor when it comes to static and swing weight but could that also affect the stiffness? If V9 is/feels stiffer than V8 may be I should forget about it (My elbow limits me to 65 and every time I played with this supposed be 60, I had to resort to advil afterwards)

    • @Tennisnerd
      @Tennisnerd  7 месяцев назад

      The high swing weight can be worse for the arm than the stiffness. I am not sure what you have there in terms of specs, but I don't think the V9 is worse for the arm than the V8. But if you struggle with the V8, it might not be the racquet type for you.

I played a ton when I was in my teens after it came out and on and off since then. Can't get bumper guards / grommets for the racket, so will need to get a new one at some point. Love the kblade 98, but I know it is pretty old -- any suggestions for current rackets most similar to that one? So I just got back from testing the Blade V9 (98, 16x19) and the VCore V7 (also 98, 16x19) and to my surprise preferred the VCore. Something about the rigidity of this blade didn't quite suit me, it felt great on volleys but felt like swinging a 2x4 on my groundstrokes. It's all preference of course, but just thought I'd share my experience. Definitely try it out first though!

    The stiffness rate for V9 100 is 60, right? What was it in the end with the V8 version? After one month of playing with that (V8 100) I managed to get some arm issues even though the racket felt outstanding. I would really like to go with the new 100 version, but does anyone know has the stiffness rate come down from version 8?
    At the moment I play with V8 98 version and it hasn't caused any pain.
