Played my first full match with it last night so my initial thoughts are I absolutely loved it. Coming from the Babolat Aero Plus I found it much faster through the air, yet still keeping amazing spin potential. I was able to cut sharper cross court angles due to the whippy swing weight. Defence was also great because I could hit flat blocking returns that landed surprisingly deep in the court. I don't exactly know how to explain it but on attacking aggressive shots including 1st serves, the racket makes you explode into the ball with your follow through. Perhaps that has something to do with the pocketing control feel, but I've never found that same sensation with previous rackets. I used the V7 which felt like a sledgehammer that trampolined balls out with little control. This v9 was so much more refined and crisp. Warming up I was hitting the tape with a few shots, especially my cross court forehands. So adjusting I hit harder with slightly higher trajectory and it made me hit so many more winners then usual, without losing control or feel. Flat hitters will also love this racket. Being a lighter racket I thought I would add weight at 3/9 but played the 3hr match feeling completely fine. Perhaps in future I will test adding weight, but don't be fooled by the light weight, it has a lot of power and holds it's own.

Very impressed by Sergio's clean contact! I always found the Blade 104 quite pleasant to play when testing it.

Nice review, I have a few blade 98, 100 & 104 v8 in my bag, I love the 98 but 104 is so easy to play.
    No arm pain at all.

For me, taking a bigger headsize is like switching from a normal bike to an electric one. I try to play a 98 headsize for as long as possible. It forces me to move better, to refine my technique. But i also understand if someone prefers a bigger headsize.

    According to TW, a 104 sq. in. is Mid-Plus (94-105 sq.in). Midsize: 80-93 sq. in. Oversize: 106-115 sq. in. Super-Oversize: +116sq. in.

Just bought mine, I got the 104 V8, it was a bargain, 120 USD (no strings) , I'm in the beginners level and is the 2nd racket I'll try, first was a pure aero 100, probably too much of a racket for a beginner so really looking to get more self confidence on my contact with the 104

@@ppadentrosubs2 quit on it after a couple of months, while my game evolved, I felt like it lack a lot of control, or at least I was not able to be consistent, specially in the volleys, so I went back to the aero which has been serving me good now that I have a better level
I want to try the speed mp next year

You are spot on with these reviews! I just got a blade 104 and have the same feedback esp when hitting the ball early. Would you recommend using Luxilon 4g at 45 lbs ?

Hi jonas I have both the 98 and 100 v8 blades and my 100 is half a cm shorter as the 98, although spec says the should be same length. Could you check if this is the same for your 100 v9/8?

After 104v5 (with that racket i had my best seasons) the 104 declined especially after v6 when they went to 16x19. It became a rocket launcher in my had an ever since 2021 im struggling and lost all my trust that now after my wordt season (2023) im looking at different rackets
