    Long term protective style handled correctly is very effective for length retention. I’m about to conclude week 11 and counting in my protective style

    Thank you for making this video and showing the care and patience needed to take down mini braids. I currently have my first set of mini braids as an adult and I’m taking them out next month. I’m looking forward to your upcoming videos.
    Random questions- what’s your ethnicity? You look so much like the women in my family but they’re Jamaican. I can tell by your accent that youre African and it makes me want to do a 23 and me to know what part of Africa my ancestors are from. ❤
    Also, how long have you been natural? Would love to hear your journey. If you’ve done a vid on this already, please link it. ❤

      Hey hun, well done on all your progress so far 💃🏽 It’s not easy to do a first on anything, I hope that you’re blown away with the results next month 🫶🏽 Thank you for being here, welcome home and if there’s anything you would like a video on, let me know 💕
      Babe, if I don’t go to Jamaica then I have not lived - I’m obsessed. That’s a compliment I accept with the quickness lol. I am a black South African that’s Zulu and Xhosa. It wouldn’t hurt to know more about yourself in that way, go for it. We all come from the motherland and I wouldn’t be shocked if we were related, I need another sister anyway lol 🫶🏽
      I have been natural for almost 9 years now, I’m planning on doing a natural hair journey video and a QnA before - so it’s definitely coming, thanks for the beautiful comment and thank you for your gorgeous energy 💐 Blessings

      Bigen is not healthy for the hair/scalp. Back in 2004 a some of my natural hair clients used Bigen it weakens their hair strands. The reason they use Bigen is they thought it was like henna,but it’s not.
      Henna is the most Safes way to color your hair. Chemical hair color affect the endocrine system chemical hair color it’s not worth your health.
      Henna is a long process but it’s worth it. You have henna then the colors a the shrubs that color the hair. 2 step process

    I have mini braids for a month and a half now and the growth is one finger. I feel its growing slow. I plan to have the braids in till december i will re-do them ever 3 months.
    Do you have any tips to ensure i get the best out of this protective style

      Hey hun, if you are intentional and you actually take care of your hair in the protective style - there is no way you won’t be happy with the results.
      Please make sure you’re subscribed to the channel, the next few videos coming next will be on my tips and routine that I followed for the past 3 months in the style.
      I appreciate you so much for this cause at least I know that at least there’s someone interested to know all the details and I really hope it will help you in one way or another 🤍🙏🏾

    Any tips on how to manage with inching?

      @zinhle.africa  3 месяца назад +4

      Hey hun, it’s not easy but the results are so worth it, I’m so excited for you 💃🏽
      If it’s braids or cornrows don’t be scared to wash it when it gets too dirty or itchy. Also make sure you’re oiling your scalp (sprits it with water first) as consistently as your scalp needs you to.
      What kind of protective style is it?

    Didn't you apply indigo after the henna?

    • @zinhle.africa
      @zinhle.africa  3 месяца назад +2

      No, it wasn’t fully organic so it had its own set of instructions. I used the henna by Inecto

    I DO NOT USE COCONUT OIL OR COCONUT OIL BY PRODUCTS IN THE FIRST 7 INGREDIENT LISTED ON A PRODUCT. COCONUT OIL MAKES MY HAIR SHED LIKE CRAZY.
    SOY BEAN OIL,GRAPESEED OIL IS NOT GOOD FOR MY HAIR.

    Believe it or not, coloring dries out the hair, makes it brittle and brakes off. I have been there.

    • @zinhle.africa
      @zinhle.africa  2 месяца назад

      So true, it makes haircare so tough…eventually people just cut it and start over 🤷🏽‍♀️

    • @MH-hw4uh
      @MH-hw4uh 2 месяца назад +2

      No need to cut. Just keep it moist with sprits of Aloe vera water and your oil of choice. Paying attention to the ends. 🎉❤
