Congratulations on your length retention. Mini braids do increase length retention. It’s reminds me of wearing locs. locs are low manipulation re-twisting once every 3 to 4 months. Also Wearing the Locs n a bun to protect the ends of the hair. I am excited to see your length retention by December 2024
Indeed! 🌺☺️ Plaits are the most effective way for me to retain length as well. I’ve been in medium plaits all year, with the exception for last month…I wanted to try twists. Although I liked a fuller looking bun, plaits keep moisture better, they keep shed hair in place, and I can literally wash, condition, and moisturize in the plaits!!! I cannot do that with twists without a tangled mess. 😅
i conrow after twist and braiding. i was using coffe but it drys my hair. so i will stop and using funegreek tea. but my ends still breaking.i moistirize every other day and put grease. i dont now what to do anymore. i dont was freguently. i have to dye my hair again because of alot grey hair. i have cut my ends a little bit not to much. shall i cut more.the ends are crucible.thank u
I 1st started with cornrows them moved to mini braids too i love the growth and volume of my hair😍 i did my braids abit bigger this time because wow i fobt want to be spending days taking it down and getting my scalp irritated otherwise this the best way to growing hair
@@PamelaRobinson Honestly ,I'm not sure what there is. I do twists with attachments, but they inevitably break parts. I may try the braids and come back and share my experience. I have a lot of hair, but the strands are fine, so there is shrinkage. I guess nothing beats a good try.
I used minis to help with my middle, it was an inch now it's at 6 inches. I didn't moisturize well so there has been some breakage. It's now in twists and hopefully it will be better

@@A_Wilson very true🤣🤣🤣
do you redo the plaits after washing them?
Yes. Once my plaits are mostly dry, I take them down, moisturize with castor oil snd Shea butter, and put them right back in.
@@mosey5878 yes I do

Hello! Is it better to do them on wet or dry hair? Or does it matter?
