Taking your hair down in 2-4weeks isnt a bad thing as long as you detangle properly...not everyone can keep a long term protective style because of tangles , personally i keep my hair for 4-6 weeks and am retaining length because i detangle gently,i cant keep my hair more than that

I'm sad right now because no hairdresser can handle my natural 4c hair in Nigeria...I just left a salon out of anger... this lady was busy using big comb to comb all my hair at once . Even when I told her to section the hair and comb it from the tip she refused. To get a good hairstylist in Nigeria is by connection.

Hi, for myself, mini braid is the best protective hair style, for a month got from 28cm to 30cm. But as @pamella said I used a comb to detangle my hair before installing my recent mini braids and 😢 I lost Alot of hairs. I could have done finger detangled first before combing. I'll reduce the usage of a comb. Thanks Pamela for your advice🎉

I literally always do, i hate how mine end up looking frizzy, why do i always have small strands of hair between sections like at my crown and i barely tie my hair when it's in mini braids😢

Split ends!! My hair gets split ends at the ends where people recommend to twist, honestly i think i should braid my ends, and i know my hair needs a trim but i can't go to a salon so i just have to diy but how?!
