Taking your hair down in 2-4weeks isnt a bad thing as long as you detangle properly...not everyone can keep a long term protective style because of tangles , personally i keep my hair for 4-6 weeks and am retaining length because i detangle gently,i cant keep my hair more than that

@@PamelaRobinson well I still think one has to find the equilibrium for ones unique head of hair,some people keep hair for long term and still lose the length because of improper detangling due to tangles,one need to do what works for each individuals,some people retain length even with weekly protective styles
