    I believe 75-90ml of oil is the new recommendation not 150ml. 150ml will cause the oil to blow out of the breather and hurts the performance also. Not necessary to raise the front wheel. Rock the bike backward and forward when draining and filling in case a gear is blocking the flow of oil.

      That's a super useful tip man, thank you! If you don't mind me asking, where did you get that info from?

      @@motortherapyinc it was in a youtube vid by; Have A Good One / the title is; How to maintain your Talaria Sting ebike. He said both him and GritShift asked Talaria directly. It's believable because I also carefully measured how much oil was in mine and it was at 82 ml

      @@motortherapyinc I would start over and measure what comes out. I'm thinking you might not have enough oil if you filled with the bike level. I still had to raise the front tire to get 85ml in it. Makes no sense, 82ml drained out with the bike level. I measure what comes out and put that much back in. That system has served me well.

      @@motortherapyinc Hi bro. I have an update on my oil change performed two weeks ago. I added 150 mL and noticed a few days later when I finally did a top speed run that my top speed was reduced by approximately 4 to 5 km/h. Just a couple of days ago I drove full speed to the store about 6 km away on an especially warm day. I almost never drive full speed for that distance. When I got to the store I noticed there was oil leaking from the overflow tube. When I get back home I checked the oil and there was plenty still in the gearbox. I think next oil change I’m going to try between 100 and 125 mL and see how that affects my top speed.

    hey man. just found your channel, and i like it very much ) can you make a video or just reply me here - about necessary parts and upgrades that need to be done before riding? I`m curious about the stock brakes - do i need to change them all, or just the brake pads will be enough? and those 2 wires from the brakes(stop sensors) - will it affect somehow on the motor/gearbox, when they are unplugged? i`m waiting for my talaria already, and i want to order the most useful stuff for it - just don`t know what do i need?! As of right now, a surron or x260 is the most modable, but companies have already started making talaria parts. • @SurRonnie

      Price wise is the x160 even worth getting. Just cause it's cheaper. And then to mod it. Just wondering if it's worth it or just bite it and get the x260 or talaris

    • @motortherapyinc
      @motortherapyinc  2 года назад

      @@SurRonnie i would say no unless you're a beginner. You will end up spending a bit more than you would if you just bought a surron or talaria. If you're hitting jumps & riding it hard, it'll definitely take more of a beating. Then again, if modding things is something you're into, it could be worth it for the project. Long story short, the x160 is best for beginners because its a bit less powerful & smaller to handle.

    • @motortherapyinc
      @motortherapyinc  2 года назад

      That's a good question bro! There is an airflow tube that runs up the back of the bike & right under the seat. When the bike is standing up, its 100% vertical. I assume if you have it laying completely flat, there's a possibility that it could leak some oil out, but I'm not sure if it's even able to come out of that tube. If you had to lay the bike down, id suggest just covering that tube with electrical tape or something. Just remember to take it off before riding!!!🤣🤣

    Why aren’t you using 85/90 per spec?? This is the third oil change vid I’ve seen and seems like people are just using whatever they have on the shelf and saying “good enough”.
    Viscosity and lubrication specs are there for a reason. whether or not “you think“ this is going to be ”good enough” is fine but those gears are operating under extremely heavy loads and high temperatures and the engineers know what they are doing - if you put the wrong oil in, even if it’s “pretty close” it is going to screw up your shit eventually. People really looking to these videos for instruction, you might wanna consider that people will be copying what you do. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Curious why that fill hole bolt is so long? Should be just a little plastic cap like on my KDX…. So you just filled it to the top? Ordered my Talaria yesterday so I’m playing the waiting game… fucking shipping company Amped bikes used doesn’t answer their phone so I’ll already stressed about that…. Two more things I wanted to touch on… did you check the level of oil when you unboxed it? Assuming there is a way to check it? Me I’ll be putting new oil in mine the day I unbox it…. Also I see they sell a vent hose filter now to keep dirt out of the vent tube… instead of buying this I will just replace the vent tube with a longer one and loop it up at a higher point on the bike..
