Thank you for the tip with the yarn, this opens so many other color options. I just make simple hats for my nieces and nephews (baby/kid) and this tip allows me to use any yarn I want! I found this video because of the title and got a total bonus!!! Thank you!
I love this pattern, especially the three stranded yarn idea, I'm going to make one for my neighbor today, and leave it tied to her bar 🚪 she'll know it's from me, I hope she likes it. Thanks so much
Thank you sooooo much for this trick!! I had fell in love with a green super fine yarn and i really wanted to make a beanie out of it and tried so many hat patterns and it was never really what i had in mind. You saved my beanie and made my day!! 😬Thanks!
Absolutely love this.!!!!.....My 17 yr old daughter is challenging me to complete this for her...challenge accepted....lol Have a wonderful weekend. Blessings!
I’ve been searching for a beanie that was quick and also a way to use my stash of worsted weight yarn instead of buying more. This tutorial is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Funny I have that exact teal color from ❤️. I’m so excited to try this. Thank you so much for sharing. Also a new subbie😊
Thank you so much for the tutorial. Easy to follow and very clear. I appreciate you take the time to explain and don't go too fast, the tips are fantastic too.
Thank you so much I have so much worse to weigh than yours and I hate that I didn't pick up any bulky yarn cuz it's kind of expensive where I live but just thank you so much you're wonderful I love you Channel thank you thank you thank you😀😀😀😀😀😎
Yarn pulling is new to me and I absolutely love it! Thank you so much for that tip!! 😍 I love this hat. Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial. I'm a new Subscriber. ✌🍁💕
This is so neat!! I'm still a bit new to crocheting. I'm on my 2nd try of this and it seems to be so much bigger than yours. This time around I really focused on it but it is still huge. I'm not crocheting tight, tight but not loose either. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. It looks good but it's not small looking like in the video. I'm on the 4th row of 1/2 double crochets.
Great pattern! Do you know if tripling up the yarn like that makes you use more skeins on average? Also how do you deal with joining the working yarn from the end of one skein to the beginning of the other when it's tripled up? Can't wait to try this beanie out!
Yes, you use more yarn, but the pattern works up quicker. Its a great hack when u don't have super bulky yarn. I just tie the new single strand to the working strands...then restart the yarn hack
Love the 4 to bulky size tip. I’ve spent so much time unwinding a ball and rewinding it into two strands! If this is too big, can you start with 8 hdc instead of 10?
Love the worsted to bulky tip, thanks! So in this pattern when you reduce yarn from 3 strands back to 1 and leave the two extra, you weave those into hat at the end?
Joanne, i'm sorry i'm slow to respond. I must have missed your comment. If you crochet overtop of your double strand you will not have to weave in your ends later.
I don't just another chunky beanie. You can add more rows to the bottom of this pattern to achieve the same effect ruclips.net/video/NG_wF6WmpT8/видео.html
Littlejohn's Yarn thank you I followed the video and just added one more hdc in the center and it still came out big, I guess I’m just loosely goosey in my tension lol 😂 it’s too big but I like it anyway
You can, but your item will come out tighter with smaller stitches. Just add more increasing rows to your hat when making the pattern. I hope that helps
What a great tip on making super bulky yarn from worsted weight. Thanks so much for sharing! Love the hat too!
Thank you so much for the tip on making bulky out of worsted weight yarn ! It really helps!
Have no words. This is super brilliant

+Christina Maples drop down a Crochet hook size that should fix it😘
I'm using a smaller hook and mine was bigger too. It turned out more like a slouchy hat, but I still love it. :)
You're a genius!!!!! Thank you so much..
Converting 4ply to chunky was awesome
So glad you like the trick. it's great for many patterns
Brilliant idea x
🤩🤩pattern is quick & looks easy to follow. Can I use regular bulky or super bulky yarn 🧶. & Also use the double crochet stitch for the entire hat??
This is bloody brilliant! I can't wait to try this! TFS : )
Great pattern! Do you know if tripling up the yarn like that makes you use more skeins on average? Also how do you deal with joining the working yarn from the end of one skein to the beginning of the other when it's tripled up? Can't wait to try this beanie out!

I was going to ask this same question. Thank you for sharing this video and amazing tip! ❤
Actual pattern doesn't start till 3:35 in.
I love That yarn tip to triple
It is a pretty handy tip, i love it
Love the 4 to bulky size tip. I’ve spent so much time unwinding a ball and rewinding it into two strands! If this is too big, can you start with 8 hdc instead of 10?
You sure can. I'm glad my tip helped
Wonderful tutorial

Awesome video!!!
Thank you!
Mod Moddy you're welcome. I am glad you like it 😘
Do you have a written pattern for the beanie. I keep losing count on the stitch count.
+Littlejohn’s Yarn do you have any tutorial on chunky slouchy beanies?
I don't just another chunky beanie. You can add more rows to the bottom of this pattern to achieve the same effect ruclips.net/video/NG_wF6WmpT8/видео.html
Littlejohn's Yarn thank you. 1 more thing. Do you have any videos with this process but with 2 different colors skeins?
Hi, what if I only have a size N 10mm hook? lol haven’t bought a larger one yet but I want to make this hat
You will need to add an extra increasing row. The stitches will just be tighter. I hope that helps
Littlejohn's Yarn thank you I followed the video and just added one more hdc in the center and it still came out big, I guess I’m just loosely goosey in my tension lol 😂 it’s too big but I like it anyway
What color yarn is that it's beautiful
I honestly can't remember 😟
I don't have this big hook but I have a 6mm hook ?
Love!
thank you
Ty...very helpful!!!
Hey Josey! i just love your name....and you're welcome😘
love this awesome
Thank you so much
what size is it 22" or 24"? please
Hy I love the tutorial I have a question though can I use a 6.5 mm hook and a bulky yarn?
You can, but your item will come out tighter with smaller stitches. Just add more increasing rows to your hat when making the pattern. I hope that helps
Thanks
AWESOME
What size hook is that?
I believe its a P hook
Thank you :)
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!
The times I passed over “chunky” patterns when all I had to do was this! Amazballs! Lmbo.
