    I've used this to make two hats so far. Easiest PRETTY pattern I've tried yet. For those complaining about no oral instructions, maybe the person making this great tutorial is deaf (like me) ... or maybe stutters ... or maybe just doesn't like to talk on videos. It would be a shame to not have this awesome tutorial, just because the person making it doesn't include oral instructions.

    Nice hat & tutorial! For the complainers on the music and no voice just turn down the volume and follow the instructions on the screen, find solutions people don't be so negative, no one is perfect! People on You Tube are sharing their best, use what you can and what you can't move on.

    I'm a beginner crocheter and can I just say WOW of all the beginner hat tutorials out there (especially for the fuzzy Bernat yarn I was using) your video was without doubt the best! Clear, detailed, excellent close-ups of how to do each stitch, great lighting so it was very visible, and fun friendly music! Also I loved how you showed how to "feel" for the stitches even when it is fuzzy yarn like that, as I was really struggling to see where the next stitch would go. I had so much fun with this pattern that I finished the whole hat in one day! Thank you!!! ❤

    I just made this beanie. It me a lot longer than 20 minutes but I enjoyed it. I am slow. I made it longer, with 10 rows of HDC and a trim on the edge. I added a pom pom on top. I think my stitches may be tighter but the gauge seemed correct. It's really cute. Wish I could add a picture. thanks so much.

    For future crocheters who have issues with the sizing because it’s a bit small, I did a few more increases to adjust the size. My round 2 had 24 stitches, my round 3 had 32 and my round 4 had 46 stitches and then I DC all around until the right length, came out the perfect one size fits all beanie!!

    • @irmar
      @irmar 2 месяца назад

      Ifyou see at 07:24, she has completed the flat part, and says: " My measurement is 9.5. The complete circumference will be 19 inches" That's when you need to do another round with increases, until your circumference is the size of the man's head. And then stop increasing and continue with the pattern as given.

      Yes, exactly. It will give you the circumference of the hat. For a snug hat, it should be smaller than the head circumference because it will stretch. So a 19-20” hat will fit a child or adult with 20-22” head.

    • @crochettoz
      @crochettoz  3 года назад +1

      If you start with fewer DC in the magic circle, the hat might come out pointier instead of the rounder shape I have. I would use a smaller hook instead, but not too much smaller.

    • @rowandrury9842
      @rowandrury9842 3 года назад +1

      If you have the option of using smaller yarn, I would suggest a 6mm or 6.5mm hook with a lighter yarn (medium/worsted weight). The weight and suggested hook size should be on the label.

      If you use a size 5 hook and thinner yarn, your hat will come out smaller than mine. You could try doubling your yarn (using two strands at once) to make the yarn thicker and see if that works! Also, if your hook is too small, you can try to crochet loosely to make the stitches bigger. You might just have to experiment to make it work.

    I got the same yarn and the same hook and I’m following all the instructions and my hat doesn’t turn cone shaped :( It just keeps turning into a bowl 😭 I’ve restarted this project like 10 times now. What am I doing wrong?
