I love this beanie and think it will be my first project. I recently started crocheting again, I made blankets and throws in the 70's, so basically I'm a beginner and you made this look so easy. I found your channel a few days ago and love you and your content so much. Thanks for sharing this cool pattern.

I had a lot of fun crocheting this beanie with your pattern. I used a smaller hook, so it turned out a bit stiffer, and I also chained 31 in the beginning (so 22 Half double crochets and 9 slip Stiches for me). It only took three or four hours to create a very nice and useful piece! Thank you for that pattern!

Just made this. “My experience no hate I appreciate this as a guide.” So if you have a large head 23” it’s going to be 36 rows. BUT I did the length of around 11 in or chain of 27 and it’s a perfect guy hat. Def should be longer for women unless you like the style of a shorter hat.

You can customize the amount of rows needed for your own head. As you add on rows, check to see if the first and last rows stretch to reach around your head, once it’s large enough you can seam it up ❤️

@@imogeninnit Hi! If you’re making a beanie for adults then it might be like a ball of yarn and a little bit of a second ball of yarn. I haven’t crocheted a beanie yet but I saw a comment of the creator saying that her first ball of yarn ran short so she used a second one to finish the beanie. If you’re making a beanie for toddlers then I think a ball of yarn should be fine! :D

The gathering at the top creates a hard bump...
Not sure if it's just the yarn I used, but is there a way to fix that?

Love your beanie!! What is the gauge for your beanie? I am a pretty loose crocheter, so sometimes I have to go down a hook size for my hats to fit.

The last part was a little to fast for me but my hat still came out good .

If the yarn was thinner would there need to be more chains?

Could this pattern be adjusted to be made with weight 5 yarn rather than 6?

I messed up on mine lol the chain was good but after the first row I looked at the piece and it was half the length that the chain was. I guess I was putting the half doubles in the wrong chain. I must have skipped one every time.
Also the wool ease yarn I got seems super fuzzy and seems to get in the way. Was yours fuzzier that it looked on camera?

How many would you chain if making a hat for a 3-4 year old, with the same yarn?

what about using yarn size bulky 5? Do we still need to make them this way with the 17 back crochet and the 7 slip stitches? the numbers will vary because of the yarn thickness/size. Please help! Thanks :)

Could you tell me what's the best method to store it? Is a plastic bag fine?

Why can’t I access any of the patterns from the links? For example, if I click on Ravelry link-the hat is not listed. Pls help
