I’ve made soooo many of these hats for family and friends using your tutorial! Thank you! I noticed that some yarns have more ‘stretch’ than others. In case someone is wondering about that, I used regular sewing thread with all yarn tails and keep that last stitch intact, and just basted the side seam to try it on. If it’s too loose I remove one row and try again. I used a balled up blanket or towel as a head for the sizes smaller or larger than mine. It is NOT the fault of the pattern. Some yarn skeins even in the same color way are just looser(?) and make the hat stretchy. I hope that makes sense. I only had to unravel a row or two of three hats out of 15. They come together so quickly and really look fantastic. Everyone loves them! I wear mine to bed because I like sleeping with the window slightly open. New subbie btw. 👍🏻💕🧶

I followed the number of stitches and rows for adult medium and ended up with the hat not being NEARLY big enough... Well I guess I can gift it to somebody, but I did the same thing a few time with accidentally not having enough stitches

That is a fabulous tutorial. if only tut makers would start - get to the point - without smoothing the thing, turning it over ,stroking it, spreading it out and all the time running off at the mouth! You explain clearly, concisely and perfect for anyone to follow. You are a star and I would recommend your tut every time. Thank you.

There isn't anything special you're supposed to do, just make sure you're not missing the 1st and last stitch. It may help to use a stitch marker on the first and last stitch so you don't miss it. Hope that helps!

The number of stitches will determine the hat height and the number of rows will be the circumference. You can adjust either the length or width to any number of stitches or rows to get just the size you'd like!

I love this video! Can I make this hat in any kind of yarn?

Thank you! Yes you can use any type of yarn as long as it's a super bulky (6) weight! If you want to use a thinner yarn, I have other Easy Breezy Beanie tutorials for different sized yarns!

If you lose track of how many rows you've done, what's the best way to count them?

Between the ribbing there are 2 rows, so I like to count by 2's. Hope that makes sense!

Which one is the right side? I couldn't finish it coz I cannot tell which one is the right side to be on the outside of the beanie. 😁

Hi! For this pattern it does not matter which is right side, both sides will look the same.

I'm using a chunky yard (5) instead of sb (6) ... I know I need to use extra chains, but how long should the chain be for Adult Medium?

Hi! I actually have another video for this pattern that uses bulky 5 weight yarn! You can find it here: ruclips.net/video/qtlyBprb4C8/видео.html

Hi! You may have a looser tension than I do or your yarn may be thinner. You can try to go down a hook size or use thicker yarn. Hope that helps!

Is this style for men too?

Mine came out so much smaller! I have to start over. I used the same yarn and used a clover 9mm. What did I do wrong?

You may just have a much tighter tension than I do. You can either go up a hook size or 2 or add more stitches and rows.
