Please don't ever take these down. They are the only thing that calm mind sometimes. Now I can barely remember my life before them. I hope you know how much they help people in more ways than just entertainment.
I agree. These stories remind me that quality and care still exist in an increasingly slip shod world. I keep a horse for the exercise he gives me. It's taken a year to have him shod. Will you be surprised it's a slip shod job, in the true, original, sense of that phrase? 😏 No matter, he can grow more hoof in response to the saddle hiking we're doing. He carries the saddle and we hike! As a rescue from the slaughter pen, every step is a victory! These stories still drawing a wide, appreciative audience is another victory for civility, professionalism, and decernnent. Thank you so much.❤
How satisfying it must be to Mr Wagland to know that he has such a myriad of devoted fans. He deserves the praise He really does a splendid job. It’s such a treat for us all to have great old stories superbly interpreted by a real person and wonderfully gifted actor as opposed to having to endure the dreadful AI voices that populate so many audiobooks these days. Great job!
so happy you're still uploading more! it's a great way to entertain myself while working from home. your narration is as always excellent and i've become so used to your voice for holmes that i can hardly listen to anyone else reading these stories now.
This is the story that scares me the most with the murder method. Another brilliant performance by Mr. Wagland. I am sorry that there are only a few unrecorded stories left. I listen to your version of the Holmes stories over and over again. Many thanks.
Thank you so much. You made my 18 hour Hospital stay bearable. I was stuck in basement overflow pod. At least I had a real bed, not just a gurney in the hall. I had no window, but I had Wi-Fi & thus I had you & this channel. I listen to one a night before bed, my father read to me at night. Now you read to me every night Greg Wagland.
What a nice surprise to get the treat of a new story this morning. Your reading is excellent as always Greg, after 15? years of doing readings your character voices are still the same and on point. A true artist. Thank you good sir.
Timely message at the end. Be alert, be free, be happy. I second that wish for all. I am listening on the 4th of March, 2022. I have been so disheartened and frightened and weary today with watching the news. 💙💛🕊Thank you for taking me outside of myself for a while with your gifted narration. You have done that so often for me the past two years. Thank you, Greg.
Lovely Comment! Let's keep caring for innocent animals, babies, toddlers and Enjoying Nature! Even just the little humble bugs going about their daily tasks 🥰 We're not the only Kingdom are we? There's OTHER MAMMALS WORLD, the INSECT WORLD, the WORLDS OF THE OCEANS
So sad there's only 3 more stories left! One more this year and two more next year. I eagerly await their release and I will not read or listen to any of those materials before your release! Thank you Mr Wagland!
I do some voice recording for my own business but I doubt my ability stretches to GW's ability to be several characters. For those less fortunate than most of us, without the wonderful gift of eye sight, these must be simply mesmerising. Sincerely well done again. There can never be enough of such productions. Sheer class 👏
When I was a little girl I used to sneak into the garage, “borrow” my Dad’s transistor radio, put it under my pillow, and fall asleep listening to the Mystery Theatre series. I was also a huge fan of ghost and mystery stories and couldn’t wait until I could get my hands on the next Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, or Trixie Belden book. I don’t know why, but I never read any of the Sherlock Holmes stories, but I had seen a few of the old movies which I loved. When I first discovered your channel I decided to listen to one of the Sherlock Holmes stories and I was instantly hooked. You bring these characters to life in such a wonderful way, and your voice is a wonderful bedtime tonic for someone who has suffered from insomnia since her early twenties. I have two more to go and I must say I am sad that this journey is coming to an end. I am quite fond of Sherlock and Dr. Watson and have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of their adventures. Thank you so much for taking the time to share these stories and your incredible talents with the World. 🤗🥰
You bring so much joy to Sherlock fans like us......a new story is such a treat ...... though read this a long time ago.......but so great in your addictive voice.....
As usual, Greg, you bring Holmes and Watson to life with your readings. Well done and thank you very much. Once we have the full set next year, what a glorious archive we can visit forever! Your voicing is as evocative of Holmes and Watson to me as are the illustrations of Sydney Paget. Thank you!
A new story, what a treat! Recovering from pneumonia on top of emphysema, no energy to read, so thank you very much. Mr Wagland to the rescue, again. Great story.
I must say I absolutely love both your reading and community. Your readings are absolutely the best to listen to on repeat and I can easily look at the comments as everyone respectfully does not give any spoilers. Keep up the wonderful work!
I started listening last night. I think you have surpassed yourself in this reading. I wouldn't have thought it were possible. Even the sound seems better. Thanks!
Brilliant! A copy of the Sherlock Holmes stories has been on my bedside table since I was twelve years old. First in German, as soon as I could manage it, in English. A facsimile of the way the stories were printed in the Strand Magazine, including the original illustrations. These stories have accompanied me for almost forty years and are like my security blanket. And the way you perform them is just perfect, thank you so very much!
Excellent narration. Not only this saves my time from reading the book while doing other activities but also teaches how to narrate the stories to my students and even me. Keep doing the great work 💯👏
I used to listen to other people narrate Sherlock Holmes and Greg wagland is Absolutely the BEST by far I can’t even listen to other people narrate Sherlock Holmes anymore just ole Greg he’s the G.O. A.T
Thanks very much. The reading is excellent. In contrast, while my appreciation is second to none for people who volunteer their valuable time to narrate LibraVox recordings, your narrations show how much value is added by an expect narrator!
Please don't ever take these down. They are the only thing that calm mind sometimes. Now I can barely remember my life before them. I hope you know how much they help people in more ways than just entertainment.
Hey Courtney
these stories and your fine narration help keep me from depression. thank you.

@@karenbanks5985 Thank you. He is. No competition. He even outdoes Sir John Gilgood's versions, and they're quite good.
Hope you're doing ok! Best wishes

Brilliantly read by Greg Wagland at the right pace and with perfect variations of intonation

If you don't mind my asking, what work from home specialty do you utilize?

Feel better, Annie!
Get well soon, dear fellow traveller.
“Cut out the poetry, Watson!” Note how our irascible detective interrupts not only his BFF, but the author himself!
🤣
I was just thinking Watson was playing with fire again waxing lyrically , when that exclamation hit! I burst into laughing out loud! 😂😂😂
Very rude!

Thank you for sharing all these Sherlock Holmes stories. I never heard of this one, that twist at the end had a very modern feel.
It does!

Gosh, this reading is magnificent. I'm a pretty good reader myself, but this is expertise at a very high level that I could never hope to match.
Kind of you Angus. Cheers
Love listening to you read ACD. I’ve been listening for a while now and yet every story is still a joy.
Thanks and best wishes to you Greg.

I’m living with extreme pain post road traffic accident. This beautifully narrated story has taken me up to a calm cloud for a while: so so grateful!!
Glad you found a calm cloud. I hope you feel better soon. Have you tried Hound of the Baskervilles as a distraction? All the best, Greg
Had to read the story for school but my attention span just couldn't let me if I didn't listen along, I am so glad these exist
Glad you're glad. Cheers Toast!
