All I can say is I remember vividly many of these vehicles were the cars of my parents and friends parents back in their heyday when they were new and close to new. To see them now in your video here brings back many good and bad memories. The truth of the matter is time really flies on by and it always has, LOLLL!! ... Good video!....Glenn
Great save Mr Goodpliers, I enjoyed the previous two parts from the abandoned Austin Texas Salvage yard, glad to know that one car could be saved by your good self. Man if I could pick just one car from that yard it would take forever to decide so many to choose from but as you say only so many can be saved, hey at least that 67 Impala is going to a good home, Thanks again and keep on keeping on.
I was going to chastise you for using a couple of pristine hoods as skids. Someone else might need them some day. But the, with the crusher coming in, it's moot. Good luck with the '67 4 door - the 2 door hardtop is my favorite.
We don't ever use good panels for something like that. While a couple of them were straight they were completely rusted and unusable. (All headed to the crusher anyway...)
Mr. B. Here ! 😎👀👍. The guy in the blue shirt is Joe ! Nice save on the 67 ! Merry Christmas to you and yours ! Merry Christmas Joe to you and yours ! 🍸🍸🎄☃️❄️
My grandfather gave me his 1967 4 door Bel Aire with a straight 6 and powerglide transmission. Cool car for me in 1976, until a drunk crashed into it and wrecked it. My parents also had a 67 two door, it was maroon with a powerglide and 283 CID
You should build yourself a custom made tow rig but use skis on it. Make it adjustable for different applications and you wouldn’t think it would be super heavy.👍
In Canada, The Impala, was also called a Pontiac Parisienne, with Chevy motors and wasn't a wide tracking Catalina or Bonneville, that had Pontiac motors
Happy you saved that one. I think the problem with most salvage yards. No one knows they are their. Many started before the internet. Then something happens and they need to scrap them all right away.
My friend in Williamsport pa had one of the best 67 Impalas 2 door I ever seen red and black vinyl roof 327 Muncie 4 speed and a rumble ya knew it was him coming . He didn't even let his wife drive it before he sold it for his 55' s he was building and I helped him out. On the way to Carlisle he pulled over got out said take it for a rip so I did wows was awesome 😎 really no one wanted these cars cause of the Vietnam war time and well now there classic hot rods . Good luck 🤞
That's awesome the car is gonna see the road again, up here in Canada most of the old cars are gone. I can remember all the scrap yards around here with all these cars but now they are all gone it sucks
Mi sentir al respecto, es que cada uno de estos autos apesar de ser objetos inanimados, tienen espiritualidad y una historia que contar. Son dignos de ser salvados.
I've owned a few 67 Impalas. 1-2 door hardtop and 1-4 door hardtop. Both back in the 70s. The TV show to me is just nothing. The best car I had was a 67 Olds 442.
The TV show means nothing to me either. I just like finding these cars because they seem to sell quick, and bring twice as much as a 67 two door, or any other years of 1965-70 four doors
good job. to be definitively efficient against rust, you should put grease everywhere. grease is the only thing very efficient against rust. put grease between metal and carpet, inside door, behind metallic bumper, under the vehicle, behind the repairs you can make (everywhere inside the body - hidden erea - instead of using paint), hollow areas (necessarily hidden, so no need to be aesthetic). For rear wings unreachable with a paintbrush, use an extender and poor old oil everywhere each year. rust nearly comes always from the inside and welds. Handyman Experience - 35 years. From france
That ‘67 Impala looks like the one my parents used to have including being that pale yellow color. Comfortable car but the 283 with the 2bbl never seemed work right.
Did the 1961 Pontiac from previous video sale ? Too bad I don’t have any money that two door and the four door would have been good to purchase. I’d have gutted the four door and built the two door back.
Yes it will be, once I get it rolling and steering, cleaned out, the latches freed so the doors open, gather the necessary missing body and trim pieces, and title it. Send me an email at mrgoodpliers1985@gmail.com to get in touch
I see them both ways. Generally, the rougher ones that require full restoration don't go back original. The nice survivors, or the ones passed down in families with sentimental value, usually tend to stay stock
It's the hero car from the TV show Supernatural. A '67 four door hardtop is worth twice as much as a two door, or any other year of 1965-70 four door car
@@mr.goodpliers6988 gotcha. I was pretty sure there was a method to your madness on that one, LOL Love your videos and the fact that you and Mr. Joe save so many of these old relics. I do my part to save some too. I've currently got a '70 Maverick two door in paint and body, two drivable JDM mini trucks, '84 Mazda B2000, '86 Dodge Ram 50 and I'm working on an '81 Datsun 210 wagon.
The dinger is, they crushed thousands of them, then in the early 2000s this was the hero car for the TV show Supernatural. So by that time the lion's share of production was gone. That's what makes them the ideal combination of rare and desirable, and drives the strong value
@@cutworm59 ironically Steve McQueen insisted on recorded sound of actual Mustang in Bullet. The Charger sound is authentic as well. The Charger was significantly faster than the Mustang and it's always slowing down for McQueen.

As of right now, I have it cleaned out and three doors opened. It needs a full floor pan which is available in reproduction. The rear package tray is rusted but I have one to cut from a parts car. I have a good hood and all major parts that are not reproduced, including front & rear bumper guards and corner lights. The rear end is locked up, but I have a good replacement 12 bolt. Once the car is rolling, I will tow it to the highway patrol and get the VIN inspection for a title. Price will be $5500 with a set of U.S. Blade wheels included. We are just north of Wichita Kansas. "No one getting any use out of them", my a$$. This was a salvage yard the guy's dad had started in the 50's. Untold countless parts have been saved out of there to keep other cars on the road.
Without the TV show Supernatural, many salvageable Impalas like this would get crushed.
You two make a great team rescuing these cars.

It’s always nice to have a friend like Joe.
Really like the way you guys work outside the box to get those cars out

That's only because it never saw a competent mechanic
Curious what year that 67 Impala was last registered or how long it's sat there? Great save.

I spotted a 1976 Chevy Monte Carlo in that video 😳 9:25
I prefer Sedans. Two or four doors. Stronger quieter.

The market price for the 67 four door hardtop is twice as much as a two door. I've got a couple two doors that are getting parted to save 4 doors

Out in the country near Taylor Texas
