- Join us as we venture to the heart of the country on the hunt for some antique cars and parts. We tour a mans lifetime collection. 1950's and 60's GM cars were his main passion, but he collected every make and model.

Thanks for your feedback. That was one of the early edited videos that I did, and since then I have gotten away from any music after the introduction... just letting the property locations, vehicles, and people tell the story on their own!

There is a big lot on I35 just north of Denton Tx. It's full of very old cars and they don't rust away in Texas like other places.I don't know the name of it but look at Junkyard Digs, he did a video on it not long ago.
It's probable CTC Auto Ranch outside Denton.
That actually wasn't it. We ended up grabbing some hoods on the way out :-)

1 year ago, and everything is 100% different, and it's all good to me, but what I fell in love with and the reason I will stay is because of the car culture and all the beautiful wonderful "junk" ! My first car (1982) was a 1968 green Bonny convert with grand Prix grill hide away headlights
I love Studebakers me and my friend we had and I had a old Studebaker and we put a 350 in it Pearl mahogany and she was a lot of fun she's also strong too unreliable I think we had a 4-speed Muncie in it
Lucky dogs always get to have all the fun you put a polo sweat in there but you get some good stuff
I got us in that black on that blue shirt right there I used to work with a buddy and landscaping business and this guy he was you cannot outwork him because he was one just one bought bad hombre hard-working guy all right you guys doing a great job keep it up

I like her attitude about this stuff. If someone can use, sell it. It will be useless if not. I've known so many old farts that have 200+ cars they "are going to restore" wouldn't sell you a flat tire

I work in a restoration shop now and in Florida and we and then teardrop headlights were those were a treasure that damn just put your hands on and make sure that when she came out there she was right

I would like to buy some stuff this next month. The trucks. That old van.
Last I had heard, the place was sold with all the vehicles and parts. I reached out to her to see if they would want to sell a few more things, but I never heard back. I'm not sure what happened, or how, or if the rest was further disbursed.
In the last month I have filmed at three more places with a combined total of several thousand cars. The most recent videos of the Rust Ranch show around 150 vehicles that are currently available. Check back, I put up new videos every three days!
I could see me tossing a wrench into the open breaker boxes in the first location!

It’s funny, locations such as always are missing the panel covers, and most, even the dead front covers as well!
Never understood an individual reasoning to not reinstall the covers considering death is very really potential threat!

Damn I wish I were in your shoes!! With that kind of nice metal just begging to do something. I see one fellow goes to copart and buys new enough drive train, cut even good bodies off, put old gm, ford, and what have you right on that new drive train right to the floorpan .... bottom line I don't remember the exact rig to the next as he's new to me. Say tho a F1 cab, a later model bed, and go on some nice all wheel drive train. Don't take long cause of all the make it road worthy but leave the finish for the next guy. I really wish I could remember his name or channel. Anyway a fit in heaven walking by the beauties. I also think some of the older four door cars are going to get a second comeback as time goes on. Some of those old cars looked like a cut and buff would make it close and with a good body and premo interior.... it would sell itself. Better stop here I guess

Yes, that was in 2018. The episode was called "One Wheel Deal". People have said that they have been able to look it up on the History Channel. It was actually one of the big things that inspired me to start this channel, to tell the stories of abandoned places, old vehicles, and the people who have them!

This place was a little east of Oklahoma City. We were down there once; then shortly after, the property and all the vehicles were sold as a lot. I wanted to get back down again but never could get with the new owner.
I was just watching the mess chinabiden has this country in, it turns my stomach what they are doing to this country.....had to find something else to watch...ya know Tim......some day your family will have a huge.....auction at the Rust Ranch.....make it easy for them....organize....be safe, God Bless!!!!

Don't leave just yet; you will be happy to know that all my current and future projects, as well as nearly all the videos done after this one, do not have music past a few seconds in the intro. I arrived at the same conclusion as you, and decided after these early projects to skip the music.

Another thing I don't understand is why a pickup truck over a real nice car. The only pickup worth having is a Dodge Power Wagon from the 60s, the rest are just a waste of money to fix or buy or own. What have you got, a uncomfortable truck without any options, that is just the grandfather of a much truck today.

The property with cars has been sold. I am not sure how much of the vehicles and parts have been dispersed. I have shot two huge places in Nebraska and Oklahoma with several thousand cars, several 55-56 Pontiacs in the bunch. Keep watching and I will get them posted over the next couple weeks.

I do not care for this one. Just do what you have been doing all along. music is a two out of ten.
Why like a Chevy because it looks good over a real car like a Buick or Olds or a Caddy, I would sooner own a 3 year old one of those than a brand new Chevy or Ford, same money but better car. Just imagine a 54 Buick Roadmaster, a Olds Star fire or Caddy convertible next to the Chevy Junk, bigger, faster more amenities and better built. A 55 Chevy looks like the box a real car was sent in. A Ford Crown Victoria for example, 3 times better than the 55 chevy just on looks, nevermind the interior or performance.
That's not only move the body parts boys let's get the dog on the car and truck parts moving to yeah you've been laying around too long and get some work out of your butts

A poor choice of hauling away, it takes a lot of money and time to restore a vehicle.
The two he purchased were to be used for parts. The short frame on the Chevy truck, and the engine from the convertible, were desirable parts.
Is it a "collection" or is it a junkyard? Because "collection" sort of implies that things are organized and being looked after. A collection of junk it is.

We did only a couple videos this way. The rest only have a few seconds in the introduction. I don't really plan to use music again.

The music when she was talking about her Dad was nice. The other music did not trip my trigger. I liked the little embellishments like maps and dotted lines.
