The farm clean ups is my most favorite feature about your channel Silas. Finding a solid survivor car like the 65 Chevy is becoming a rarity these days. I'm glad that she has a brighter future at a new home.
Holy Cow Batman! What a find! Cars like this helped build America. Not everyone could afford a convertible or hardtop. This was a family car, most likely this family had kids. They had to make pennies count. Basic transportation, but they had an Impala instead of a Biscayne. My Dad's first new car was a 1960 Chevy. He first brought home a White '60 Impala 4 door sedan. (Demo) Mom said it was too costly, so he took it back and brought a '60 Belair 4 door sedan. She said OK. The price difference was around $17.00 a month difference. We could afford the Belair, but not the Impala! With 3 boys to raise, they had to be careful with the monies available. Great video as usual! I know I'm addicted! Better this than booze or drugs! Over 20 minutes too! Good job!
'65 Impala 'Base Sedan.' It's got the "L22" 250 with an "M40" Powerglide Automatic. The Color is "Artisan Turquoise Poly." That's about as "Base" as a Car got back then. The only Options it has from Factory is the Heater and the Powerglide Trans. A real sweat shop on Wheels. Lol. IF you don't find a buyer......Did ya notice the Blue AC Oil Filter on the wall up to the right??
In my mind the old Impala is a jewel you folks in Kansas are lucky to still have cars like I see in your videos around today. Most here in NC where I live are gone now. Even the old C-10 Chevy trucks that GM made for many years are drying up. Most salvage yards sold the old vehicles for scrap around our area many years ago. I love the work you are doing nothing like the old automotive iron IMO, cheers.
"Not a super rare car but..." That's the majority of the cars I've pulled since the 1980's. Mind you I was finding cars and bringing them home since I was 15. I sure like this car.
oh man. I wish I could find someone with that kind of place that would let me just clean it all out. All the fun I could have fixing up all that stuff. It's like a treasure hunt!
Man looking at the interior of this car, reminds me of my dad's 1965 impala ss 396 turbo 400. It was dark blue, completely stock. I remember riding with my mom to the A&P grocery store. My dad was a gear head so I knew about cars very early. We lived close to Rockingham motor speedway, always went to the races, he had a 1946 chevy pickup 348/4 speed. Back to the impala, I wish I could find that car, everytime I see one I think about mom and dad. Thank you for posting this, ultra cool stuff. 👍👍🏁🏁
Definitely unique - most of these with 6 cylinder and dog dish caps would be a Biscayne or Bel Air! Hope it finds a good home where it’ll just be cleaned up, 6 cyl engine kept in it!
@@richardforfar222 With no flags or engine numbers at the front of the fenders, I knew it had to have a straight 6 in it before he even opened the hood.
Good evening,I would love to have that car. Brings back old memories. I had a bad experience with that year of car. There was 8 of us in the car, we rolled about at least 10 times. This was back in the 70 s .every one survived back then. I think they are 3 of us left
Great garage/barn find for you an dad. Be a great car just to keep around to cruise in every now an then once you get it road worthy. Just as a reminder to you an dad on how much you love what you do. Cleaning up these old farms an trying to save all that you can from a bye gone era. I know your in the junk/scrap business but you do save lots of things from the past that will one day be forgotten for ever if you don't save them. Great video. Well catch you on your next adventure. 😁👍👍
Wow I really enjoyed this video. It's like stepping back in time. I bet in its heyday this farm was bustling. That 65' Impala is the crown of that farm. Keep them coming. This was a great Adventure.👍
Love the tail lights on those impalas. That cars made for cruising !!! If it had no engine I'd put a big block in it but as its a original survivor car it would be a sin to mess with it ,just disc brakes & a good clean & keep it original .like my father says if it ain't broke son don't fix it ! Great find silas👍
Bought as clean as they come Silas..... nicer as a hard top but go to car shows an see lots of four door cars. Of course like cars and trucks or anything with a engine but that whole clean up says more about a place
Thanks for posting a great video. This old Chevrolet Impala was incredible..My favourite car .Thanks for all your videos and your great work .Also i wish you and your team a great Christmas..Always look forward too your videos and these farm clean ups. Greetings from a former car mechanic in Norway...Keep up your good work.
So cool!! My moms first car was a 65" super sport. Then my parents had a 66" impala 4 door when I was growing up. Really cool to see. Brought back a lot of memories.
Do you think Ryan does a great job of saving classic cars? He ends up selling a lot of them to buyers in Sweden. Is that really saving them? They're effectively gone from the American market, so you tell me.
GREAT FIND. Another great video, good job , You never cease to amaze us. We are patiently waiting for new adventure for us to go on. Have a great evening with the family.
Morning Silas, I'm 64 years old, back in my teen years these Impala's were plentiful, my uncle had one just like your car in the video, different color, my best friend at the time bought it from my uncle, don't remember what ever happened to the car or my best friend....I guess you call this.....life!!! Your Impala will make someone a nice driver, I think you will do well with this car, it's definitely pretty clean, the disheartening thing is, 30 years ago, people wouldn't have given this car a second look!!!!! Anyway, be safe, God Bless!!!!
I remember watching a new white 1965 Chevrolet drive past me in a shopping center parking lot when I was 11 years old, and thinking that I liked the way it looked, especially the exposed taillights that stuck out of the trunk lid.
Walk back memory lane. My first car bought used $200 (bad fuel pump) in 1974 was a 2D 65 Impala SS 327 with power glide. Same color but had an upgraded interior, bucket seat with center shifter console, and a vacuum gauge on the extreme right-hand side of the dash.
Nice car I had one just like it , I miss that car always run good 👍 thank you for the videos in joy them alot my dad used to run a junk yard over 50 years ago it takes me back thank you, see you on the next one 👋
We need a video of you power washing this thing. Love watching barn find cars get cleaned for the first time.
Easy to restore this car
They getting rare these days
The interior is almost perfect from my viewpoint. Definitely a car worth saving.
Easy $457K

wash and drive , just like it is ,very cool !
That cars a ripper! What a survivor, you’ve gotta give it a bath so we can see what it comes up like! 🇦🇺🍺🍺
Can't wait to see the car after a cleanup.
It’s never work if you enjoy what your doing.
Neat old barn find!
I'm not a 4 door fan but I can appreciate a clean surviver.
When I was single I had a two door then when I kids, I had a 4 door. If you always had 2 door cars means you never had kids.
I had one in 1975, I wish I still had it. Great Job Silas
Awesome find, would love to see what it looks like after a wash job !
Same!
Cleaning and polishing inside and out please.
Would love to see the video of the cleaning and 1st start👍👍
Love the taillights!
Four doors - no waiting...😎

Nice. One of the best styled sedans ever IMO. They will never again make cars this roomy and comfortable.
Love the old 65 very nice. Also love that old plow. I like old farm machinery.
You are really lucky for getting this car condition
I loved the 65 Impala 4 dr sedan. What a beauty
Reminds me of my own 1965 willow green 6cyl PG Bel Air sedan
That 65 is nice. I’d keep it as is and use it for a daily driver. Great find!
Oh Yeah, LOVE the Farm Cleanups !!

Grandma had grubby arms judging by the drivers door 😝🍻
Nice 65. I would drive that.
Super cool find. Someone will really have a nice ride after just a small cleanup,
oh man. I wish I could find someone with that kind of place that would let me just clean it all out. All the fun I could have fixing up all that stuff. It's like a treasure hunt!
Of trash
And suck up all that dust and get asthma

Interesting That fancy cloth interior might not have been available in BelAir or Biscayne... ?
@@michaelerickson1518
I think it was available in both.
@@michaelerickson1518 Possibly the BelAir but not the Biscayne. Thought it would have had a 293 at least.
@@richardforfar222 With no flags or engine numbers at the front of the fenders, I knew it had to have a straight 6 in it before he even opened the hood.
@@bartsarton2212 Yes of course, that totally slipped my mind about the front fender flags and/or numbers.
So sweet a car I want it !!!!
Amazing that the mice didn't trash that Impala. Great find!
Thanks for sharing y'all. Good video
I love the adventure thanks for bringing us
I had a 65 2dr h/t ss and a 65 conv ss both had six xyls same color as this one but with white interior buckets seat ..both rust free around 1978

Stone stock brakes would be all right once the system is mechanically up to par
great find
man I would love that simplicity, and the anvil!
Beautiful!
I got my aunt's 65 Impala when she stopped driving in 1991. Drove it 100,000 miles in 10 years to work and back. One of the best cars I ever owned.
That car is a beauty even if it is 4 door a very rare find Id bet point & good gas it would run
I remember when the 65 Chebby was new in the showroom.
What a great automobile! That's a keeper if I ever saw one. You'll get a buyer in no time. Congratulations.
My grandparents had an Impala close to that year with a v8 always liked that car.

Looks like a good candidate for Ryan at Iowa Classic Cars. Good find. I had a 2 door hardtop 30 years ago. I loved that car.
Do you think Ryan does a great job of saving classic cars? He ends up selling a lot of them to buyers in Sweden. Is that really saving them? They're effectively gone from the American market, so you tell me.
