YARD FULL of OLD CAR DREAMS! Multiple Rows of Classic Cars in THIS Salvage Yard! (Junkyard Tour)

- Today we take a tour of a public junkyard that is rows upon rows of old cars and trucks, most of which are fairly rust free & could be fixed up or good parts cars. I have known about this yard for about 4 years, and have wanted to buy the cars mentioned in this video ever since. I finally had the opportunity to tour the yard again, and do some filming as well. Hope you all enjoy the salvage yard tour and all the cars that still exist.
thanks for watching!

Thanks for the trip to the yard Ryan! I'm 61 and used to love going to junk yards. We don't have yards around here like this anymore! I'm a Cadillac lover myself but love all old iron. It's nice to see younger guys interested in the old cars.
Thanks for watching!
Hi Ryan...amazing yard & Video...
Question:
*"How much for the Turquoise '75 Monte Carlo?¡"*
Thanks!¡
...how much for the Monte @38:25 ?(!
Thanks,
Cheers!¡
Man , your not that old , but the knowledge you have of the cars from history is outstanding . Really impressed with your passion . Keep it up .
Thanks man
Right when I saw his face at the end of the show I thought the same thing.
Here in my state of Massachusetts, people would pay decent money for cars that are fairly solid even 4drs and would even pay to have them em shipped here. I know a guy who did just that when he bought a car online in Montana and had it shipped to his shop in Southern New Hampshire. It was an early full size 60s Oldsmobile 4dr. He was happy that it was it in good shape with minimum rust.
Can't believe you saw my high school dream car - Pontiac T37! From what I've read, Pontiac used the Tempest model with T-37 identification to fall under Pontiac Tempest insurance rates, which were much lower than a GTO. Thanks, Ryan. Your salvage yard tours are always great!
Thanks!!
T-37 was the base model, replaced Tempest trim. The GT-37 option package was the "budget performance model" not the base T-37 [non-GT], which came with a Chevy I6 standard.
@@tomcat630 Thanks!
I think Le Mans was somewhere in between the T37 GTO also
Wish you could have included dealing on your 5 cars.
The car you said was an import in a 1934 Chrysler Airflow, very rare! Like your video's!
Loved your tour through the bone yard of old cars. I could do all day long. Thanx...
The 57 chevy 2 dr wagon @ 6:10 might be a glass sedan delivery for government use. Tom on Barn Find Hunter had one on one of his episodes. The thing that caught my eye was the tailgate. Supposedly these glass deliverys had a one piece tailgate unlike the station wagon upper and lower two piece tailgates.
Love the junk yard videos brings back memories of my dad and I walking around them
thanks for watching!
Thanks Ryan, I really hoped I would see what you got from this junkyard! Buick wagon was super cool, even though i'm not much of a fan of '60 Buicks! You gotta get that Belair flattop and I really hope you also drove another 200 miles north to bug ol' Mortske!!
hopefully i can get some bought
A nice junk yard that's not all picked over, there are some really nice cars there for sure!
Too many awesome old rigs, most of them aren't even seen here in Australia, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
Hey Ryan! Thanks for the tour, about 1/3 through watching! Love the 1959 coral Belair! A Flat Top too! You gotta save her! The 1959 Buick looks interesting as well, that car should have been Christine in the movie, they look so angry. The car just after the 16- minute mark is an Air Flow Chrysler or DeSoto dare I say, I am kinda sure. A real Art Deco style vehicle that was way ahead in design for its time. The public was not ready for them yet unfortunately. Time to keep watching! take care
glad you enjoyed!
That Airflow at 16:10 is the most desirable car featured in the video...
HOLY CRAP. At 16:10 ,that was either a DeSoto or a Chrysler AIRFLOW. Very Rare car only made a few years. I know it's not your up of tea but... Anyway, I hope someone saves that. Still had the steel Artillery wheels on it. Wow.
im always willing to learn!
Love the 57 olds wagon as well as the 58 Buick wagon. I wonder how many pounds of chrome were on those things lol.
Man thats a great yard wish there where places like that in the uk thanks for the walkabout mate awesome content .
Loved the gremlin and the 60s oldsmobiles.
Great video Ryan. I could spend days (maybe in Summer) walking around there. The scrap metal dealers have made short work of any old car yards around my area. Only modern stuff left now.
Thanks Paul
That camper at the end of the video is known as a GREAT DALE CAR. There were about 65 of them built on various full size car chassis. That thing is very desirable to a lot of people. I wish I lived closer so I could save it.
I absolutely love late 50’s GM. That 60 Buick wagon looks like a good car. I think the 59 Buicks are a far better body style than the 60 but oddly enough I like the dash on a 60 that’s my opinion. I’m surprised to hear you say that the 59 Pontiacs don’t do anything for you. I love them. I hope to see a video of you loading some of them cars up. Thanks for all the great old car content. I think the T-37 was the bottom of the barrel. Roadkill got one running in a older episode. The Medalist is a Canadian model I think which is a lower or higher model than the Monarch.
Hey. Is there Any difference between a 59 and a 60 Buick? I don’t remember any visible differences and I don’t see a difference looking at old photos. The body, roof , metal, glass , greenhouse looks identical to me .
Thank you for the tour that was pretty cool, I've been a big fan of junkyard since I was a small kid. Keep up the great work.
Man... all those wagons Ford and GM are so stylish and cool!
That they are
Wow what a huge yard! Could spend quite a few hours walking thru there! 🇦🇺🍺🍺
The car you thought may be imported I believe is Chrysler Airflow. A friend of mine hot rodded one with Hemi and received Street Rod of year in MN.
Could you also film some 70’s Cadillacs as well? I’d really like to see those more often, and I know you do Chevy impalas but maybe some newer Cadillacs too?
My favorite is the Mercury 2 door wagon... i would love to bring that one back to life..
You should pull that Airflow. Rare car.
Thank you for the tour..and trip back in time...its my field of dreams..
field of rusty dreams!
Hi Ryan great video! at 22.18 there are two Fiat 1100! incredible!
thanks for that time stamp
58 Ranchero was my favorite 😎
A little painful watching from the UK and seeing so many amazing potential projects just sitting there!
The 65 chevys are elegant and a shape/style you look at all day, need more coverage, great video and keep rolling.......
T-37 is a base model Lemans. I have a 71 T-37 as well. Mine is unique it has a GT option. Which makes it a GT-37. I am looking for a good deck lid, front bumper parking lights for my car.
oh thats cool!
Good stuff there!
Wow! At 18:18 that’s a Checker!
the green caddy four door is a 39 or 40 model 60 special at 12.14 not a lot left and very much worth saving .this was gm 's idea of a short chassis town car ,it shared many components with chevy in later years my 62 60 special was on the chevy frame they are Very collectable and you rarely lose money on them
I miss not seeing the moters but i respect the man
Ryan ty for showing us all the old cars, just for your info the 2 dr mercury was a lincoln town coupe 77 or 78 great luxury hot rod lol
Thank you Ryan.
The glass on the 1959 Buick wagon was intact
Hi buddy!
Thanks for the virtual tour
Awesome!
I feel bad seeing the 57 Caddys, seems that nobody wants them
You should make som money on that VW bus you passed, the prices on those here in Sweden are insane 🤠👍
Lots of really cool cars. That 66 bel air or biscayne two door sedan next to the 59 Chevy @24:24 is kind of a rare find. Would love to find one.
That 60 Buick wagon is sweet
That’s only the 4th one I’ve ever seen
Owned one for a long time
Im trying to acquire it
Was that Blue wagon @ the end a Ford Edsel? I know the grill reminded me of one. Also OMG I wish you had walked over to the Chevy Corvair I absolutely adore them. Also it looked like it was in pretty good shape. Oh!! I am kidding about you walking over there. I just want to thank you for showing us as much as you did. Love your channel, please keep up the great work!!!
I like the mid 50s Ford Ranchwagon 😎
16:10 that’s a Chrysler Airflow!
That's what I thought it is.
thanks buddy
Great video Ryan. Hope you kept your feet warm.
On the MOPAR ROW, at 16:00 that car is a 1934 Plymouth or Desoto airflow. The chrysler airflow did'nt have the gills on the side like this one has, dodges most popular version of the AIRFLOW was a truck. The T in T37 stood for TEMPEST to
pontiac. The Model J of the Pontiac Grand Prix was an entry level model of the car.
Thanks!
I know where that salvage yard is that's a real nice people that own it
As late as 1960 Buick sold cars with 3 speed standard trans. and buick specials until at least 1967 .
Wonderful place, thanks for showing us. I think that it is a 1934 Chrysler Airflow at 16 minutes. Yours Mads from Denmark
thanks Mads
T-37 replaced the Tempest as Pontiac’s low line A body line.
1969 Pontiac Grand Prix Model J. Optional trim level was SJ, terms borrowed from Duesenberg.
In mopar lane, the white car was a 66 Plymouth fury, My Dad had one. Before that her had 1959 impala.
Thanks!
The Grand Prix Model J meant it was a base trim model.
Wow what a beautiful place
I like the 66 Oldsmobile dynamic 88 the red car that's my favorite.
Little Baby Yellow Car Looks like a Metropolitan
Now that's a true junk yard
lot of good stuff here
i like that red buick wagon.
Me too its a cool one
Hey Ryan, great video ( at least so far. I'm typing this mid way through ). Do these guys have any Studebakers in the yard?? I'm looking for a particular part.
i dont recall seeing any but maybe they had some
Boy that 59 Chevy El Camino would be a beautiful truck to rebuild I'm looking for one once I get back to Arizona where they don't rust you have a great day and I enjoy your films and you put it out thank you😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤
i didnt see a 59 elco in here :D
Yeah there was a El Camino there but it was in pretty bad shape that's what I'm looking for a 59 with a rap window I'll find one of them You got an El Camino in your garage
Very KOOL Ryan Lots of good projects
That 59 is loooong! 😁
The "Import" is a Chrysler Airflow of the thirties.
Learned something new with that one
Another great walk-around Ryan! The "foreign looking" car in the Mopar section at the 16:00 mark is a 1934 Desoto Airflow! Very controversial advanced design for Chrysler and Desoto that sold poorly but had many engineering innovations. The AMC Gremlin around the 42:00-ish minute mark had the "X" package option. AMC offered several trim package options such as the "X" and a "Levi's" edition. The X was a sporty package with bodyside stripes, slotted wheel, badging, sports steering wheel, and upgraded bucket seats, plus a few more niceties. The 304ci V-8 was an option for all Gremlins, even the sporty X which came standard with the 232 ci 6. If that one had a V8, it was rare!
Yeah, of all the cars in that yard, that Airflow is the one worth grabbing. Their ultra rare!
thanks for the time stamps!
Great tour of this junk yard. I think the coral '59 would be a great buy for you.
thanks Martin
Love that yellow mach1 😎❤️
Hell of a yard
Grand Prix midel J included “ performance engine specs and suspension upgrades . On engines perhaps, three deuces or two fours from memory . J model was the cool one to get buckets and console cars.
Love all station wagons
My dad had a 61 Dodge in the early sixties, the small one u showed
Around 30min. You should have snagged the nash healey that could flip for bank bro. Dennis Collins digs em major.whoop there it was....
Such a shame we can't save em' all... Personnally im a huge fan of the 59 olds you've filmed
Same i love 59 oldsmobiles
That was a 68 Impala by the 62
This is a really good video, I'll be leaving for a few places like this when I get to the USA and buy a couple of properties and I've been thinking of Sturgis!
Thanks!
At the end when you mentioned a couple of Ford wagons next to a caddy.......I'm pretty sure they were Edsel cars. It would have been nice to see more of them.
See any mercury trucks there they are super rare and hard to find they where in the late 40s and early 50s
Those 60 Buicks always looked Pissed 😡 Off 😅😅😅
It has a Oldsmobile 403 engine in it. Also the drip rail molding was an option. Don't think it's missing it just didn't come with it.
😂 he said good thing about up north is no rust. I guess everybody ever has been wrong 😂
some good pick s thier Ryan mate
thanks Brett
At 19:10 it is a '68 impala Custom Coupe, not a '69. Easy way to tell is the loop front bumper on '69.
Oh thanks!
16. 15
is a 34 Chrysler airflow , many of those merck wagons came from factory with the 406 and a Paxton supercharger
The Pontiac Catalina was actually sitting next to a Cadillac😅
Great video body thanks & have a good one…
Damn Chrysler air flow!!
0:31 - oh noes, no door opening, how is Ryan gonna survive that ! hehe :D 1:15 - yup been wondering how long ago you recorded this, with all this snow around ! Seems it's a recent video ! Shock ! 2:33 - fins ! They have fins ! Like decent self-respecting car should ! 3:40 - yay, a Sport Sedan ! Run at it and love it ! 9:08 - OMG! A Buick sitting and buicking ! 11:30 - front half of a '60 Chevy there 12:07 - with those additional waterfall grilles on the fenders besides the central grille I'd say 1939/40 13:07 - this one looks really saveable 14:52 -omg Colony Park just sitting out in the wild ! Like that ! 16:09 - WTF ?! WTF ?! DeSoto Airflow sitting out there like that ! Shock ! Shock ! These were too shocking in their aerodynamic form for the 1930's buyers, great design-wise but not a selling hit. 16:36 - this Dodge Royal is a Spring Special, has the fin tips. A mid-season dress-up package offering to boost the sales of the model. 22:25 - that's the cheapest of them all in Mercury range for '58, the Medalist. Only offered as sedans. Last year for this model name. 22:36 - omg, Buick wagon, also sitting just like that out there ! 27:25 - Hudsons ! WHole row of Hudsons ! and Nashes 33:30 - oh, a Kaiser ! 34:52 - yup, '57 Firesweep, the half-Dodge one 41:38 -Edsels ! I thought there will be no Edsels in such a diverse junkyard with such a wide time frame ! Thank you for another tour in a wind and water for us !
Thanks
The one you thought was an import was a Mopar Airflow sedan, DeSoto I think.
Have you done any restoration lately? Costs are outrageous
Enjoyed your video. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
The "foreign" car is actually mid-30's Chrysler Airflow, ahead of it's time for streaming--probably valuable.
In mopar row the rounded car with the wild grill, is a Chrysler Airflow.
I had a 60 Imperial like the one at 20:50. After owning it for 24 years, I sold it to someone in San Diego.
Lots of great old wagons. Can you tell more about 65 Chevy with hood scoop which you thought may be former race car?
Mr. B. Here ! Nice yard 👍👍👍👍👍👍 warm up man ! 🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸
thanks!
@@IowaClassicCars You welcome ! 🍸🍸🍸 it’s 5 pm some where ! LOL !
@@IowaClassicCars You welcome ! 🍸🍸🍸 it’s 5 pm some where ! LOL !
1:26 That 1966 Ford Custom has a 1965 grille in it. Interesting.
Thanks for the yard tour, yes this is several months out but at 19:14 next to the 69 Impala there was a Caddy sedan, is there any way to find the year, we are looking foe 1954 specific Caddy Series 62 front fenders, parking light in the grill and not on the fenders, Thanks
16:23 & 17:32 a pair of big Chyslers, were they Windsor's or New Yorkers? the latter would have 331 long block Hemis in them ...once. 😁😁
And the white Mercedes W111 Convertible @25:37 ? They are bringing really big money now.
18:08 was a Plymouth Sebring, not a Charger....and right behind it was a big Checker Marathon Sedan you ignored, so rare!!!! The Ford Wagons you referenced at the very end...weren't Fords but actually Edsels WAgons, really rare...the X was AMC designation for it's sports package like Chevys SS....anything AMC with X means faster or sportier than normal.
Thanks
That Pontiac "J" Grand Prix (25:58) is one of only (about) 300 ever made!!
Wow
