I’m sure when ratchet was dead for that brief moment clank felt like time itself stopped for him. I can understand the shock of it all.

It would’ve been cool seeing this mentioned, even as a throwaway. Something like having Rivet and Ratchet comparing who’s done or experienced more, and having Ratchet casually mention that he was shot and killed one time.
It could’ve been hilarious, ah, a wasted opportunity I suppose.
He wouldn't know that, Clank altered the timeline remember? what Ratchet would remember would be that Alister ALMOST killed him but that's that. unless Insomniac has revealed somewhere that Ratchet knows this, then I'll step back

@@crabmannyjoe2 no. Since Clank is a half Zoni (I believe it's the case), he wouldn't be affected by the time travel, for already being an entity that can travel through time as he deen fit.
I know the games never shown clank time traveling because he can, but I do believe its the Zoni natural ability to be unaffected by time travels in any negative way
Even without the whole "Zoni" thing, just in the context of the scene itself, Clank is the one who initiated the time reversal, so it would make sense that he's the only one to know what went down in the now-aborted timeline (of six minutes). He clearly at least remembers enough to know that he needs to push Ratchet out of the way. There's no indication that Ratchet knows anything about it, unless Clank himself told Ratchet about it later... which, given Alister's last act, I feel like Clank wouldn't bring up out of respect.
Technically, Ratchet didn't get shot. Clank never talked about it happening, and he did go back in time. To Ratchet's knowledge, Clank's reflexes saved him.
seeing this ending again I really wish ratchet mentioned more things happened in a crack in time like alister and the events of the great clock and so much more
yeah we did get confirmation of things that happened like the great clock adventure but we don't know how much of the continuity of rift apart and the old continuity are the same....
The sad thing is, this game came out 12(!) years ago; including so much story from the past games would have likely turned off new players from the series, which may think that they missed out on too much stuff.
I would’ve really liked to have seen like in the intro for Rift a parade float for the Great Clock and the battle with Azimuth, or even Nefarious’s station
@@undisclosed8833 Well, they did include a Great Clock parade wagon, but then the Goons 4 Less happened.
(also I dont a reenactment of the fight with Azimuth would be a good idea, Ratchet had serious depressions afterwards (as seen in the comics))
@@xXYannuschXx i wouldn't want a reenactment of that fight anyway, as much as i love a crack in time i hated the use of the hover boots all the time.

Ratchet has seen it enough times in his line of work that despite it being hard to accept as you can see as he walked away very slowly and had down cast eyes he knew not to linger as he would likely break down

Most of it is a crack In time but ratchet wasnt near death in rift apart neither of them were the only one who suffered damage was clank who lost his right arm
which is a nothing burger, sense he is a robot and can replace it. i mean this game had a death count. Dr nefarious may as well be dead, alister died. A rift a part has a more dark world but has no dark moments. i mean emperor Nefarious does not kill anyone even though he should have a genocidal account beyond him he does not know what it means to make sure to close loss ends.
@@roiking2740 yea if he killed one of the resistance members like perhaps even captain quantum of all ppl (symbolizing how nefarious wanted to kill quark in the original dimension) thatd be a dark tone

The first time rachet dies, and the irony is not only was his death caused by another lombax, that lombax is the best friend of his father.

That Cracked in Time moment will always get me. I still go back and watch it occasionally. I liked the idea of a female lombax, but I kinda wish there had been more focus on Ratchet... Like, maybe they'd have to rescue him from a more dire event than what they did to raise the stakes... that's just me though... Also he when he gets injured in this game (namely when they first land in the other dimension and after he gets smacked by Kit's transformation), he favors his side. Dunno if its the same side, but I woulda totally eaten up anything that played on him being internally injured and that forcing him out of commision for a short time.
