Dr.Nefarious wasn't exactly evil, just a dude sick of bullying and mistreatments.
a dude with high intellect that thought he could make things better his way unfortunate for him his way was not better.
And then we have the movie version who is Pure Evil.
@@neosolitudexevermore4895 Interestingly enough, Movie Nefarious was actually a former Galactic Ranger and the former brains of the team, before Elaris took over that role after his departure. Qwark often looked down on him and bullied him, even calling him "King of the Nerd Herd" and for moments, Nefarious slaved away creating things that made Qwark look like the Hero.
So he eventually dropped from the Galactic Rangers in favor of villainy and committed heinous crimes, especially an attempt to atomize Aleero City (Metropolis from Kerwan). This resulted in his incarceration where he faked his death afterwards. He eventually teams up with Drek to build a Warbot Army against the Galactic Rangers while Drek constructs his new home. After perfection, he then betrays Drek by turning him into a sheep and ejected him to his own creation (he only got a glimpse of sunshine upon arrival until they both got Deplanetized). Nefarious took over and attemped to blow up Umbris but was taken out by our heroes, then got reconstructed at the crash site.

@@neosolitudexevermore4895 True. Though Biobliterating organic lifeforms into robots is also pretty evil, pretty much our Nefarious' plans were pretty much more tame and less violent/destructive, even if he is batsh*t crazy at times.

Dr.nefarious isn't completely evil but as times goes by it got to a point that he hate organic life due to mockery and mistreatment. They should make a spin off of ratchet and clank but focus on Dr.nefarious.
Or maybe a sequel to this in which he helps ratchet and rivet in someway with dimensional travel or something

@@MagnificantSasquatch No he didn't, In Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal (hehe) in the Qwark hologame it was told that when Qwark attempted to give Nefarious a wedgie "for old times' sake", he instead *cough* *cough* accidentally *cough* knocked the doctor off a catwalk and into the machinery below, which ultimately led to his transformation into a robot. So technically, he didn't turn himself into a robot.
@@tytoalbasoren9457 The point is, "robot oppression" isn't a theme that applies to him, he's not even natively a robot and became one as product of his own mad science.
@@MagnificantSasquatch He didn't tho. In the first game he got shoved down to the machinery by Qwark, which just immediately started turning him to a robot. In the reboot and movie, he gets flung to the Deplanitizers core/hardly survives the crash of the Deplanitizer and the repair bots just "fix" him by turning him to a robot.
In both cases it's a forced and I imagine quite traumatic event.
It's the fact he tries to drink the wine/champagne that gets me.

He's also like Dr Doofhensmirth, from Phineas and Ferb, both being the always looser purple and green evil doctors, more so counting the Across The Second Dimension movie and both of them having an eviler counterpart

Well he did become a robot due to bullying, but I mean if Quark decided right at that moment to apologize, he could have turned good, but still became a robot after backing up during a affermation of: "That's IT! I should have never become evil, from now on I will do only good!" Then falls.

I was wondering why Emperor Nefarious sounds so familiar, it's because he shares the same voice actor as Medic from TF2

Becuse its another add-on the heli-pack wasn't "upgraded" or replaced by the rocket-pack
You use to able to choose between the 2 but now for some reason you can't. I use to have the wings in tools of destruction looked much better
@@reisetyler i guess becuse clank doesn't play a big part in gameplay (nor in story) anymore since 1 what does clank do that the jet boots can't in rift apart ,2 clank has become a talking backpack more than he ever was, 3 the gameplay isn't much of a plataformer with guns like past titles but a semi-open 3rd person shooter now, in other words the movement changed as the gameplay did before you had things you see in a 3d plataformer, but things changed to jump and gun

He did say "Speak of this to no one" but the reminiscing of his adventure with Ratchet and Quark, his line to the other Nefarious about equating happiness to success, that regretful look he shoots Ratchet when their dimension gets invaded on top of giving Lawrence the paternal leave indicates he had an epiphany somewhere along the line. Feels like he's slowly figuring things out for himself and reassessing his priorities
By the looks on his face it feels like he wasn't willingly helping the emperor.
