All eight on the main story games altogether on one disc for everyone to either catch up on the story or to experience the earlier legacy games from the ps2. Maybe update the graphics and sound controls but still keeping in tune with the aesthetic of the originals

One thing I really respect about Ratchet and Clank is how they've been telling a broadly continuous story since 2007's Tools of Destruction. Like no other video game franchise does this because it's really hard to have a continuous story in gaming over an extended period of time. But R&C figured out how to tell the story in isolated segments that can be separated into different games while still having the continuous narrative thread of the Dimensionator and Lombaxes linking it all together It's a simple enough story and structure that new players can jump and figure out what's happening while expanding the story for returning players, it's the perfect multi-chapter video game story! It's fantastic and avoids the pitfalls of franchise like Kingdom Hearts that are so absurdly complicated after all these years that you need to read loads of extra material just to understand what's going on!

I'm as long time fan and I'm noticing several inconsistencies in this and many skipped details. It wasn't the 'Bio Liberator' It was the Bio-bliterator' as in a play on the word 'obliterator'. And after quark faked his death on the exploding ship he was too cowardly to come back forcing Ratchet and Clank to seek him out and pep-talk him into returning. As for The Great Clock, the whole conflict about it is everyone who knows about it wants to use it to alter history, but as explained the clock is merely meant to keep time stable across the universe. Attempting to use it to greatly alter the past would risk the universe being destroyed. And it was nearly the case, the ripple effect of that providing the cause for dimensions weakening in following game.
I went back and platinumed every R&C possible recently to get ready for the new one. Full Frontal Assault was painful and the Ninja Massacre Skill Point from Going Commando was annoying if you are in challenge mode but I got it eventually after researching how they counted "Kill only with wrench."

Angela Cross had to flee from Emperor Tachyon sometime before the beginning of Tools of Destruction. She met Max Apogee (Talwyn's father) who helped her escape in his starship. This starship was later found abandoned. It's currently not known where Angela is now or what happened to her. Ratchet and Talwyn are still confirmed to be a couple.

Really wished you mentioned Merc and Green when you got to Deadlocked. They were extremely essential to the game and dont get enough credit in the series lore. Also Size Matters was pretty important to the series lore as well. It introduced the idea that Ratchet and his race were special and rare. This is later brought up in Crack in time which gave Ratchet's past more backstory. I know you guys were just trying to condense the main idea of the "story" but youre seriously doing a genuine disservice to the long time devoted fans thats been with this series since the ps2 days and general newcomers that watch this video hoping to get the entire story in one sitting.

4 days more Rift Apart! Let's go

@@diegoapaza2004 can not wait and Jedi the fallen order
I went back and platinumed every R&C possible recently to get ready for the new one. Full Frontal Assault was painful and the Ninja Massacre Skill Point from Going Commando was annoying if you are in challenge mode but I got it eventually after researching how they counted "Kill only with wrench."
Grats Dude!
I remember the absolute INSANE glitches the PS2 games had. I would spend summers breaking that game with my friend.
Super excited for Rift Apart. Can't wait.
Same here. I have mine pre-ordered.
@@sub4you282 How is it?
@@Luca_Talis Simply amazing! It feels like a R&C game but with a new touch when it comes to cinematics, gameplay and traversal. I had no idea the game would be this unique. They really kept a lot of stuff out on the demos they showed us. The game is more then what they showed us. It's hard to put the controller down.
No is not! 😡
Ratchet and clank: Crack in Time was my first ever insomniac game I ever played and I loved it
It was really short not as much as the first games but it looked great
Predicting 9+ review score tomorrow🔥🔥👑
@@Kubush1 or maybe Sony actually make good games, ever thought about that? Don't bring info out your ass with that "well known for paying" shit😂😂
@@Kubush1 hahaha Sony doesn’t have the money to pay off any reviewers nor would they do so. You know how stingy Sony is with spending money. They just make good games and have good partnerships and it shows. Since mid 2020 they have last of us 2, ghost of Tshushima, final fantasy 7 remake and intergrade now, demon’s souls, sackboy, miles morales, returnal, and now Rachet and clank. Pretty stellar line up to play already on ps5 with better visuals and performance on all the games listed. The timed exclusives Xbox paid for: call to sea and falconeer, are now on PlayStation. And medium is coming soon. Xbox will have good games with the studios they have, but as of now, there is a big discrepancy in quality titles on both platforms.
@@Kubush1 How many frames do you get playing Holdfast Nations at War?
@@Kubush1 I can tell you are not a creator, but thanks for clearing that up. I can also tell you know 0 “Game Media” insiders but thanks for your inside knowledge on non-facts.
@@Kubush1 Saying you have "friends in the industry" has the same amount of credibility as saying "I saw a flying cow" You do not have friends in the industry and you just say you're a PC player to cover up your 2nd hand embarrassment of being an Xbox player. Please go back to your imaginary friends and pray you get some good games
This series was quite literally a huge part of my childhood, I loved them more than anything else I owned!
I was so happy when I heard about the newest game!
Crack in Time was amazing! Quest for Booty had a brilliant atmosphere
9 games in the main storyline? Wow Ratchet and Clank are long running OGs.
With all these adventures, Ratchet is just a furrier cuddly Master Chief.
You should totally put a high pass filter on your voice; those plosives are gnarly, listening to this with a subwoofer is painful lol
Deadlocked was honestly my favorite ratchet game ever, probably played through it 12 times when I was in middle school
Seeing footage of the old games again, makes me remember the old armours and spaceships you progressed through. Fucking loved some of those designs.
Omg deadlocked was an absolute masterpiece
Ahh, Ratchet and Clank. So many fond memories. Playing the second game for 40 hours to upgrade all the weapons. Having my first seizure for playing a game for 40 hours to upgrade all the weapons. Fun times.
I used to play rachet and clank up your arsenal on my ps3
Brings back memories🙄
20 years, 3 other lombaxes, a functioning dimensionator, possible teasers for more lombaxes that are out there, and they still haven't found the lombax dimension 😭
Oh man, tools of destruction was my childhood
man its so good to get a clarification on the games storyline/timeline. I recently have gotten into the Ratchet & Clank and been having fun playing the games, I do hope they make more. and maybe another movie perhaps?
I honestly feel like the 2016 entry takes place in a alternate universe instead of the canon universe we know.
Well it’s Qwark retelling what happened and he has a tendency to lie and forget
i really wish insomniac would release a game where ratchet finds the lombax's and has to save them or release a mini movie or something where he meets the lombax's
Well it was teased at the end of Rift apart but that’s like the 4th time they’ve teased it.
After finishing Rift Apart 100% on new game+ I really hope we get 20th anniversary remaster of all these games. I had only ever played the first 3 of the series and can't believe I didn't even know the 2 most recent games existed! Ratchet and Clank and Sly Cooper are my favorite games from my childhood and they both deserve a good remaster
This triggered nostalgia.
Ratchet and clank rift apart is a masterpiece 🙌
The amount of mispronunciations
And they completely skip over quarks redemption
meh, Quark is a trickster character: sometimes he's good, sometimes he's bad. but he only ever looks out for himself so he can never truly be redeemed.
@@ianism3 except he is redeemed because he actually does things for others in the games post UYA
A crack in time was the best entry in the franchise
So cool to see the ps2 versions again, came a long way
Going commando, up your arsenal and deadlocked were my childhood and made it so great
I always find it a weird but interesting detail that all the lombaxs have 5 fingers where everything else has 3 fingers.
Probably part of what makes him a good mechanic
Insomniac declared Size Matters (also the most sold R&C game) canon
Size matters is the most sold ratchet and clank game fr. Can u show me where u got that from wanna see.

2016 reboot is the best selling R&C game.
you love Rachet & Clank and you're a returning player. I suggest you start playing at the most difficulty level, otherwise it will seem to easy and boring. I had a great time and enjoyed the game more playing it on Renegade Legend. Super fun!!!
Tools of destruction was my first game it brings back so much nostalgia watching this I want to go back and play it now lol
We need the whole game series for PS4, ps5, stream or Nintendo, so the new generation can catch up the story and game
I love this games
My memory is so strange, I thought the old games I played look at lot better but they definitely didn't age well. First time seeing the games since I played them as a kid.
"It can turn any living creature into a robot."
Robotnik: "WWWWWWHAAAAAAAAT?! HIS GREATEST WEAPON IS PLAGIARISM!"
It would be amazing if Insomniac remastered the entire collection.
I loved R&C: Up your Arsenal.
The multi-player Arenas were so fun.
Glad to finally see someone else who also played Up Your Arsenal online i loved it back in the day
The ratchet and clank original trilogy are the best ever R&C games imo
5:01
Bio-liberator is a surprisingly apt name for the device lol
Devs know what they are doing with most of the original games names like "going commando" or "up your arsenal"
Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando will always be my favorite but A Crack in Time will always be the best game.
This game will be easier to buy than to actually play it.
I see what you did there :) (and agreed. I just got a Series X because Microsoft was literally on Facebook "Hey we have some in the store if you want some. Ordered Friday, arrived yesterday) - If only I could find a PS5 the same way!
They need a going commando remake!
No
They can't happen now
And a proper one, like seriously keep the style, the dialogue, the soundtrack and everything and just throw modern graphics with 4k and that's it. Going Comando is such a piece of work, I'd even like to replay it as it on my PS5 in 4k.
Nope
@CJ P. you don't understand the real reasom behind the 2016 game existing.
If you haven't, please, plug in a PS3 and do yourself the service of playing Crack in Time. It's easily the best in the series, by far.
I agree so much. I LOVE Crack in Time. It’s just a huge shame that I no longer have a PS3… and I can’t use PS Now because it doesn’t exist in my country lmao
Ratchet and clank up your arsenal is by far the greatest game of theirs. It was leaps and bounds ahead of its predecessors, with going commando coming in an easy second place. At least in my opinion lol.
I see you did not include size matters, secret agent clank, All 4 one and full frontal assault. I don't blame you
He had explained it in the beginning
i am so confused on the story, what happened to the female lombax in the 2nd game? and if that one girl in the end was ratchets girlfriend then what happened to her in rift of time and is ratchet and rivet a couple??? and if ratchet and his fathers friend and that 3rd remale lombax arent the only lombaxe's in ratchets universe then how many are there left??
Angela Cross had to flee from Emperor Tachyon sometime before the beginning of Tools of Destruction. She met Max Apogee (Talwyn's father) who helped her escape in his starship. This starship was later found abandoned. It's currently not known where Angela is now or what happened to her.
Ratchet and Talwyn are still confirmed to be a couple.
@@JH24821 oh ok :D cool tyvm
I still have all my original PS2 games, I haven't liked the new kid friendly versions but Rift Apart looks beautiful
A crack in time is easily the best
Im watching this just as i completed rift apart
I love the endgame of RaC 2002. I just find it kinda cool how the final destination is the first destination.
I played Up Your Arsenal, Tools of Destruction, and a Crack in Time more than I can count
I’ve played all of them, but tools of destruction carries so much nostalgia for me
We need remakes for Rachet & Clank
Man, you can tell when the writer has played the games, but the narrator has not.
Bio-liberator? There was nothing being liberated by that device.
He also forgot how to say lombax in the middle of the crack in time section
So nostalgic . The very 1st moment i get my hands on ps2 and this game was a gift from my brother way back 2003. This game is sooo good & diffuclt coz its fuccing JP ver. i was mesmerize the world of R&C specialy collecting gold bolts and armaments in the game. Insomniac done very well on this
Really wished you mentioned Merc and Green when you got to Deadlocked.
What is a lombOX? Is it related to the lombAX?
As much as I love the entire series, the first part is just something not replaceable by any other.
Could Rift Apart really be the endgame for the Dimensionator?
I'd say there is one more game based on the dimensionator in the tank if Rift Apart teaches us anything
In my personal opinion Going Commando is the best of the original 4, and believe it or not quest for bounty is my favourite of the future series, Going commando being the best of them all. I personally like all the games except for deadlocked, secret agent clank, the offbrand game with the robot girl, and into the nexus. Everything else is gaming and cinematic gold.
It's been a long time PSP memories
Tools of destruction is my fav gameplay wise but going commando and the space station mission will always be my fav
