I made a few quilts for my grandsons a while back, they don't even use them for newborns anymore at all, they just use those wrap thingies - they use the quilts to put them on top of or for decoration or not until they're much older. But oh well.......
just beautiful. I found another method of using the backing as the binding. Just leave an inch all around and fold in 1/2 to the quilt, then just fold it over. It was so easy. Only thing is not to accidently cut it while cutting off the excess batting. You fold it under before cutting off the batting.
When I use that method I put a sticky on my longarm and mark with pins to leave an unquilted margin all the way around. I find that makes me less likely to catch the backing with a rotory cutter (done it too many times!) But scissors is saffer for a small quilt especially. I leave 1.5", maybe I will try 1" and see how that looks!
I don’t have a video for it, but the white quilt uses the same exact blocks as the grey quilt, but with some rotated so that all color squares are clustered together (it was a little lucky that there were enough red, cream, and black blocks to all go together evenly!) The grey quilt, all of the blocks are oriented the same direction
My 40 year old Pfaff has died. I need a trustworthy sewing machine, which has automatic tension settings, auto bobbin fill, but only straight, zigzag and EASY Buttonholes. How hard will that be to find? I want a durable machine which will work 10 to 15 hours per week. No embroidery please. What do you advise? I'm willing to buy a good machine if lessons on its use are included. Not just a salesperson making commission, but another sewer that will show me everything I need to know, tips & tricks and be there for help and hopefully few repairs.
Love the cat interuptions!
I love that you called your cat - "my Supervisor"!!! So cute!
I especially love cat interruptions!
Your supervisor is an adorable, beautiful kitty. I like the color scheme of your quilts.
Beautiful Quilts!!!! You better believe he is your supervisor! Lol. 🐈🐈🐈 He is adorable.
Awesome
Both quilts are gorgeous! They make me think of the flannel pj's, hot chocolate, and a cozy fire ❤
Beautiful quilt, and great tutorial. Can't wait for more. Thanks for sharing.
Those are the BEST supervisors I know, lol!!

Love this pattern
I came to watch your tutorial but stayed for the 'supervisor'. 😀
Gorgeous quilts. tfs

@@jaclynramsier5271 I have done that too. Yes scissors are the best to use.
Great idea. Thanks.
Bless you! I also am a lefty. Knitting patterns…..if it says left leaning increase, you have to do a right, and everything is backwards.
I am so impressed that you spin EVERY seam. Is that 9 spins per block?
Thank you!! Yes that is 9 spins per block, plus 3 more on every side where the blocks come together(!)….so alooooot of spinning 😵💫
Is there instructions on the way the white quilt is cut and arranged

Loved this. How far over did you make your cuts? Hard to tell. Blessings.
Thank you! I cut 1” from the center line. I also have a separate video that goes into more detail on how I made the blocks, linked in the description
I also thread baste. It is easier on my arthritic fingers.
Black, grai, and red for a baby quilt?
Why not?
some like that sort of theme and do their nurseries in similar colors...so as Sharon said, why not?
How do you trim your intersections to make them lay flat
I spin the seams open. I have a separate video on making the disappearing 4 patch block that goes into more detail on how I spin the seams!
What size did you use to cut the 4- patches befoe you re-sewed them.
I used 5” charm squares and then cut 1” from the center all the way around. So that ends up with 8.5” finished blocks
It would be nice if you gave measurements
If you haven't already, watch her video that is more detailed ruclips.net/video/hhLT6o85h8s/видео.html
@@lilscrapper67 thank you. I’ll do so now
