What a wonderful video. No nonsense, no unnecessary chatting. Very pleasant to watch and your explanations are super. Thanks. I look forward to seeing the next video.
so glad to see you do a full video explaining how to make these blocks, i like shorts as i can catch up with most things i want to see, but i like more detailed explanations, sometimes, thanks again😙
The best tutorial I have seen with so many possibilities for the 5” squares. Best tutorial for cathedral window block!! Thank you so much. Great teacher! ❤
Just found this today, I'm so excited to get out my machine and blocks to get creative!! Awesome demonstration and 3xplanation without all the maths 😂. Thank you so much!!
What an excellent video. This has been one of the best videos explaining the uses of the charm pack. Loved it! Thank you for sharing your time and expertise ❤❤
Great to see all these blocks in one video. I have the 30's Playtime charm pack and now I'm tempted to make the blocks and sew them all together. Really inspiring - thank you!
Be careful because the blocks may not be the same size. The more seams, the more fabric is used. Make some test blocks and measure them to be sure that they will fit together well.
Oh how I enjoyed this video! You have perfected the art of making everything you teach look simple and I have learnt so much thanks to you. Your kindness in sharing your time and talent is greatly appreciated: Thank You. Marion, UK
So lovely to have you back Katrina. Many thanks for a brilliant video, I love them all. I've never seen that version of the cathedral window before, many thanks for sharing.
I really like the cathedral window the way you make it. Thanks. I really font care if a quilter makes a cat with its tail upside down just bring a quilter makes me love all of them.
The " C " window, such simplicity....yes I have seen your technique before however I got lost!!...finally today I get it....I love the traditional "C" window....my next project I will trade my old method for your method of today. Again thank you for clear simple explanation of the wonders of a charm pack.
Thank you for such great instructions!! I think a lot of us collect the adorable charm packs, and you gave lots of valuable suggestions on what to do with them - thanks again !!
Thank you for showing different ways to cut a charm. I'm new to quilting. I've made two quilts so far and frankly I was winging it, made mistakes with both but got them done.
Very good video! Thank you for the (long) video... ♡ I can't get the ideas from the ( short ones) my brain needs a lot of visual pictures for me to grasp the ideas, the long ones are so helpful
I just discovered your channel. It is wonderful! Great ideas for those charm packs that I bought because they were pretty, but I did not know how to use them. This is great for someone who has the desire to quilt but is idea challenged
It‘s always a great pleasure to watch your patterns an to hear your instructions. It‘s real fun and makes some of my days brighter. Many thanks and greetings from Germany…..
You are amazing 🎉🎉🎉 thank you for such great simple instructions. I wish I could take classes from you. ❤ you’re a great teacher. Thank you. Now I’m off to my charm packs
Thank you so much! Just what I was looking for after I bought some fabulous charm packs! I would love and I'm sure would also appreciate a short pdf of directions for each block.
Thank you for this wonderful video. I love working with charm packs and you have given me some great ideas. I really like the cathedral window. Looking forward to your next video. Thank you again.
So glad I came across this video. I'm left-handed and need all the help I can get as I dive into some beginner quilting. Thanks for making this magic happen!!🎉
So glad l found this video! You are my new hero. I am going to use my accu quilt and cut up scraps into 5” squares and make lots of charity quilts with them using your instructions! Gratias, merci, danke shon, and all the rest of he languages!
Thanks for the video! Even us advanced Quilters need a refresher course occasionally! The third block, "Half Square Rectangle" can be used in the "Swiss Cross Block" (one of my favorite blocks). Many times I'll buy 4 of the same charm packs at a time to be certain I'll have enough for a quilt. Look out Swiss Cross, here I come! Oh Boy! 😃 ❤
Definitely have this video to watch later, after seeing these blocks so eloquently explained, I will have to sew them with you, thank you so much for sharing these techniques.
Hello from Georgia in the US. So glad I found you; I love these different designs with the charm packs. As a beginner quilter, I think I will enjoy making these. As you said, the last one is a bit fiddley, so I'll have to review it several times, but I love the way it looks. Thank you for this demo; stay well.
I’m a new quilter And I really love watching you make all these different squares. I put you wan save and I’m going to buy a charm pack And give it a try
It is great to see a left-handed person demonstrate the making of these blocks. As a left-handed person I can identify better with what to do exactly.
Yes. I am left handed too.
Love your tutorials as you get right to the demo. Thank you.
For left handed people - Jenny Doan from MSQC is left-handed also, so you might find her demos helpful too.
Jenny Doen from Missouri Star is also a leftie😊
What a wonderful video. No nonsense, no unnecessary chatting. Very pleasant to watch and your explanations are super. Thanks. I look forward to seeing the next video.
In complete agreement
so glad to see you do a full video explaining how to make these blocks, i like shorts as i can catch up with most things i want to see, but i like more detailed explanations, sometimes, thanks again😙
This is the first time I’ve seen & understood making a cathedral window block. Many thanks!
This has helped so much. 6 video's quickly in one. Thank you. I love that final "Cathedral Window" one. I've never seen that block.
The cathedral window block is also known as the ten minute block 🙂
@@patlivesley5398 I know it as that also.
I will be a regular watch. You explain things easily & demonstrate slowly. Which helps me to follow along, as im a visual learner. X
The cathedral window block was a perfect easier demonstration than I have ever tried.
It really worked out quite well.
I’m just going to say ditto.
