@sewbeitquilts I am working on a here got it layered started to quilting and with your info I ripped it out and started it over with some of your stitch info. So thanks.
These tips are so great!! I realized when watching this video that I need to slow down when using that walking foot. I struggle with the drag, too. The bunching method for the win! 😀
Thanks for doing this video to refresh. It certainly is daunting, you did give us tips to make it not as scary Have you done a video regarding steps you need to do BEFORE you begin quilting the piece. Squaring it up, basting, sandwiching . I find that portion intimidating at times too.
Oh my goodness Donna I am so sorry that you were in the area of the hurricane. It looked so devastating. Being without power is so hard! I pray that the weather stays calm for you and the area you live in.
These are all great ideas and it's always great to see what helps others to get a great job done. If you don't mind, What size needles do you use for machine quilting?
Great question. I almost always buy universal needles because it’s just easier and they work great for piecing and for quilting. I do sometimes buy the packs that say quilting on them and they work great too.
I currently have 6 finished quilt tops ready to sandwich and another 7 or 8 that are partially pieced. Yikes!! I also have 4 commissioned quilts to finish, those need to be done by Christmas 2024 and I'm going on vacation for 2-3 weeks, so lots of prayer and good thoughts please?😊

Thank you for all the tips sometimes you forget and it's nice to get refreshed cause you get in the sewing mood.
You’re welcome! I agree!

I have to bunch my quilts because I am too impatient to roll them and then have to readjust them!
My goal for Sep and Oct was to quilt bind and label 15 tops ranging from 2011-2020 on my DSM. 5 quilts left to quilt and one in the process of binding
WOW 🤩
You go!!! Just think how much someone will love those quilts! They are not much use in our closets unfinished.
Wow that is amazing! good job!
Thanks for all the tiops
Great refresher tips! Beautiful Quilt! I lost count after 15, need to order batting. Happy sewing & quilting.
I have been working on my tops but I think I still have a very huge pile to work on!
I have 11 to get done so thank you for the inspiration.
Awesome! You got this!

I have a lot videos to catch up on. We had hurricane Helene in our area. We have power again and now I have internet and tv again so I’ll be watching.

Could not come at a better time! Have a 90" monster I'm determined to (start) tackling tomorrow and I'm just terrified of ruining it
Oh my goodness! What a big quilt! I hope quilting it went well!
@@sewbeitquilts making (slow) progress. but, progress is progress. more tomorrow

I have 15 to 20 with backs and binding made hanging in a closet. This dang arthritis is slowing me down.
I think I have five hanging in my closet with backing and batting ready to go but I just need to get going with them!
Only 3 but, that’s three that are to be hand quilted which does take a fair bit of time.
I need to get two of mine hand quilted. I started on both and need to keep working on them.
👍
Thanks for watching!
A Juki is a semi industrial machine, not a domestic machine.
It’s not a longarm so the tips I am giving are still pertinent to all domestic machines.
