Since many people have asked me for GOXLR mini settings I will have to clarify, I don't have a GOXLR mini, so I am unable to give out settings or make a video for it unfortunately.
As someone who has a deeper voice, thank you so much for posting this, I have been trying to find an EQ that brings out the depth and warmth in my voice and this definitely did that. Thank you so very much!
This is one of my favorite videos on RUclips. After replicating these settings using my GoXLR Mini, my audio sounds more than twice as good as it did yesterday. Now, it feels like my brand new Shure SM7B can truly shine.
@@TheUnrealChaoz well yeah you have only 6 bars so you have to skip some from the video. So enable fine Tune and from the left: 32Hz -9, 125Hz 4, 500Hz -2, 1.0KHz 0, 4.0KHz 3, 16.0KHz 9. I have it like this and with compressor like in the video it sounds very good.
@@TheUnrealChaoz To match Jolly Legend's settings, I changed Bass to 1, Mid to -1, and Treble to 6. I also matched the gate and compressor settings since they are critically important. From there, I slightly lowered the two treble bands because of my own personal tastes (4.5kHz to 2 and 16.0kHz to 4).
I rebooted my PC and of course had to re-set up and adjust my GoXLR. I have taken your video as a template for the settings and am thrilled what I got out for a sound quality in contrast to what I had before for an audio sound. I thank you very much and wish you much success for your future.
Great video, it helped tremendously. One question: Have you modified any of the settings on the back of the Shure SM7B mic itself prior to applying these settings within the GOXLR or is it set to default?
Appreciate the video and have been running these settings for a year. Recently ive been gaming with friends and they are able to hear my ingame audio through my IEMs. Is there anything specific you refommend me changing so it doesnt pick up on these audio sounds and only off of my voice. Thanks in advance!
Hey there @JollyLegend 👋🏼 I just recently made the switch to my MKH416. Loving the mic so far. What are your compression and noise gate settings for the MKH416? I did notice a slight change in your compression level compared to the SM7B in this video (from 85 to 65). Thanks man! Appreciate you. Great video!
I get a ton of hiss when using that 16khz soundband. However, I'm not using a goxlr I'm using an elgato wavexlr. Are you using a cloudlifter? It seems to be directly related to boosting my 16k (16k boosts can cause hiss), however there is no hissing when you do it. Confused as hell. Also my compressor has way too many settings for me to figure out really how to tune it, such as input and output level, and a ton of other stuff. Could you help me at all Jolly? Debating just buying a GOXLR for myself, this waveXLR has been nothing but problems ever since I got it
Great stuff man! It definitely helped me see what others do with their stuff. Unfortunately, I've got a very unique voice that's hard to get the settings right for. Being a mix between deep and gravely due to vocal damage. I've still got lots of fine tuning to do, but this will help. Btw, both the Twitch and Discord links are broken.
First off great video! Extremely helpful information! I did have a question: I took a look at you stream and it you sound quite a bit louder there to me. Is it just RUclips audio normalization making it quieter or Do you do any final filters in OBS for your stream? Like a extra gain and a limiter on the broadcast mix or something?
I just use different compression settings cause I like to max out the volume, these settings are better suited to most people, but if you wanna use my settings then set the threshold to -16db and the makeup gain to -12db, will make you sound really loud.
This is a question before i watch the video (lazy, srry!) Does these settings apply or work for the Mini aswell or is it just the big GOXLR? (If same im watching the full vid xD)
The only thing is I've never used a re320 otherwise I totally would've made a video. But I would like to try one out, ugh if only I had infinite funds XD

Hello! 1. Do I need to use dbx286s box with this equipment at the same time or GOXLR can replaise mic processor? 2. Do I need external sound card to use with GOXLR (I use SSL2 currently)?
Maybe somebody can help me, I am currently looking at upgrading my audio gear, i thought about going for ther SM7B and the GOXLR, since i really like what you can do with it. Like in this Video. But i heard that the goxlr is no longer supported and that the shure got a new and better version. I have around 800 bucks to spend and would like to know what other options people would recommend.
