    Mark Tremonti = Straight up bad ass guitar player.

    • @jhangel
      @jhangel 9 лет назад

      ***** There are 3 variations of his model for PRS. The SE is the cheapest one, at about $300-400. Then there's the SE Custom, which has a few more of the features of the full Tremonti guitars, and it's slightly farther up the pay scale at $700-800. Then it jumps to the full on copies that clock in at about $2300 and up depending on paint job and other details. You can also just buy the Tremonti pickups from PRS, for about $200, and drop them into the guitar of your choice.

    • @jhangel
      @jhangel 9 лет назад

      Yeah, they've been making them since back in his Creed days, except for the SE Custom which was add as an intermediate level option in the last 2-3 years.

      It’s not about playing a crazy amount of notes within seconds, It’s about how much thought you put into your music and how a guitar solo makes so much sense in the middle of the song. In that case Mark is a genius. Totally agree with you!!!

    • @TheColebyArnett
      @TheColebyArnett 8 лет назад +23

      +iownyouall4444 I'm not sure how either of those things would be bad. Even though I'm quite sure hes not either. He does have an awkward vibe, a lot of people do. He still has to think up the questions and conduct the interview. Which I thought he did very well. That's just my opinion.

    • @iownyouall4444
      @iownyouall4444 8 лет назад +1

      Coleby Arnett being autistic is something that can be helped. if that was the case, i'd be proud of the guy for getting a job and stepping up like that. a lot of people, even with mild forms, would be hesitant to be in the public eye. the gay thing would be bad. have you seen an attractive female? gays are some weird ones. i find his interviews, i watched a couple, to be a little odd. i don't think this is the job for him. he seems a behind the scenes type of guy.

    • @iownyouall4444
      @iownyouall4444 8 лет назад

      Coleby Arnett haha, very solid points! yeah, depending on the level of autism it can be very manageable. the word is thrown around often by trolls and people trying to be funny, so sometimes it isn't applicable. but with certain people, my niece for example, she has a high functioning form. she's just socially awkward and has trouble making and keeping friends. middle school is an awful time to discover things like that. other forms of autism hit at an earlier age and are more noticeable. some kids aren't able to speak at all, it's really sad. there was a good movie about asbergers, i forget the name. but that's a high functioning form of autism. agree about the bitchy gay guys. can't stand it. honestly the most reasonable explanation is that he is probably new and nervous. i wish him the best of luck going onward, and i will check out the slipknot video.

    Gru - a bit of advice. Always finish on a high note. Many of your interviews end with a depressing fact which leaves it a little flat and the interviewee looking a bit sad. Plan them so that you end on a positive point. It doesn't matter even if it's a silly question, just make sure it's not depressing.

    Definitely the most in depth interview I've ever seen of Tremonti. All of what he said was really interesting. I just hope it doesn't further burn too many bridges that could've been reconciled in the future, and I mean in business or friendships. Very good interview though.

    • @poopmaster13
      @poopmaster13 8 лет назад +4

      +DrizzlingDrizzlers Creed never should have tried to do a reunion, and I don't know, from the sounds of it, that Mark and the boys would disagree with that now. He says "you never know", but honestly, I don't think they should ever try again, either. That album they made just didn't sound like a Creed record. It sounded like more of the same crap that Stapp had been putting out with his solo work. Stapp lost the great voice he once had in the 90s, and the dude just has a lot of problems. HE needs Creed to get back together. The other guys are doing great with Alter Bridge and other projects, and do not need Creed at all.

    • @DrizzlingDrizzlers
      @DrizzlingDrizzlers 8 лет назад +6

      poopmaster13 Full Circle did have a different sound, but if you compare My Own Prison to Weathered, those albums were very different as well. I've liked all their albums, and would love to see it work out for Creed again, but like you said, I just don't think Stapp's mental health is up for it right now. I'll always be a Creed fan though. I have family members that suffer from the same stuff Stapp does, and its rough. I definitely wish him the best.

  • @saser400
    @saser400 9 лет назад +141

    This says a lot about Scott Stapp. Start another fight with your band because they're going to honour their commitments? Mark doesn't throw a fit every time Myles goes off with Slash, and Myles doesn't get annoyed that Mark has a solo career. Cos they're decent people. They work around schedules and support each other. Mark takes time out of his MAIN band to go back to one that broke up BECAUSE of these bitchfits. Maybe Stapp needs to grow up a little and realise that everyone's world doesn't revolve around him.

    • @saser400
      @saser400 9 лет назад +16

      +Aron Scott With all due respect, I disagree. Alter Bridge has been Tremonti's main band since 2003 and reuniting with Creed already meant putting his main on hold. They recorded an album and toured. Then how can Scott Stapp really expect the rest of the band to go straight into ANOTHER record when they have other commitments? It sounds like if anything, they were blowing off Alter Bridge which by all accounts, is the band that Tremonti, Marshall and Flip have more fun in. Stapp' reaction seems childish. Maybe the band would want to work with him more if he didn't throw such tantrums and not even look at his guitarist while they're on tour together.

      I hate to say it but staff can pound sand...the best thing to ever happen to the creed crew was Myles Kennedy and the allowance for the musicians to seriously exploit their talent while letting them go full bore...the result was Alter Bridge which is still capitalizing on their initial amazement...unless you play you have no idea how technical Mark, Myles and crew actually are and thats why Mark has his own gig, Myles got hooked with Slash and all three are a true rock n roll dynamo the likes of which we've never seen before in this modern era...yes of course you have bands like chickenfoot to breaking bemjamin (least in the genre) but their skill and lyrics barely hold a candle...before you h8ers get crazy, im talking rock n roll,modern alt metal, so settle down

    • @sharasman
      @sharasman 4 года назад +9

      Since this video, it’s been revealed that Scott was dealing with depression, bipolar disorder, and addiction during that time. Now, he’s opened up about his issues, gotten the help he needed and is back with a vengeance. He recently said he and the guys are speaking again and his last conversation with Mark lasted an hour. That all sounds like positive signs that they will eventually reunite. Also, Scott is now on the same record label as Alter Bridge and Tremonti. I love Mark but have just never fallen in love with Alter Bridge’s music. It just doesn’t resonate with me for some reason. Creed, however, is my favorite band of all-time. I really hope they can put the past behind them one day soon and do another album and tour.

Given how much Lake Highland Prep like to flaunt their notable alumni (they had this huge birthday card signing for John Green when he started to get big), it's strange that they would fail to mention him. They even had Scott Stapp perform during an assembly in 2012 (his book was summer reading that year). I think it was amazing luck that I discovered him after I graduated. Its was World on Fire with Slash, Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators that led me to Alter Bridge which led me to his Tremonti project. Its a small world we live in haha! Interesting episode. Lot of really weird fiction made it fun, but the stuff about his mom, tensions in Creed, and Alter Bridge being in debt to their former label were all bummers. Especially the part about his mom. Surprised to hear that brought up, given what was written.

    Scott Stapp was the crux of Creed, either it's most synergizing member or it's most divisive. It seems more of the latter in the band's final days.

    Amazing how that one lunch conversation ended Creed's reunion. I prefer Alter Bridge but Full Circle was actually decent. Did Stapp really think Mark and the guys were just going to abandon Alter Bridge?

    saw him live on Fri, was amazing..Raven Age stood in for Sevendust and didn`t let the guys down. check them out if you like Trivium, very crunch lead similar..

    That tidbit about Alter Bridge paying off their One Day Remains contract until today is very sad. Never knew about that. It's very unfair for a record label to force a band to be on contract without appreciating their talent. Now I can see why Mark isn't exactly keen about a Creed reunion. While that will definitely make them a lot of money, they'll have to ironically join Wind Up on a temporary basis and whatever money they'll make will be eaten up by Wind Up's stupid debt.

      That's probably why they're called "Wind-up"...sounds like a fair warning by Mark from this label.

    The song on ABIII where Mark and Myles are talking about their beliefs, does it happen to be Words Darker Than Their Wings?

    I can understand why Mark no longer wants to work with a singer like Scott when he can have a singer like Myles. Who, just like Mark, is humble, dedicated to the craft, no ego, no bullshit. Those two are a match made in heaven.
