I was about to google naked toddler. Then suddenly realized how much of a mistake that would be.
Yeah that might have not ended well lol
You'd have FBI knocking at your door haha
Cassius Allen you would get arrested by the FBI
Uncle Or you cannot get arrested for a Google search lmao
Cassius Allen just like Todd Margaret's legal team
The sadness on Mark's face when he talks about his mother hurts my heart, but only because I know exactly what he's feeling.
Mark Tremonti = Straight up bad ass guitar player.
***** There are 3 variations of his model for PRS. The SE is the cheapest one, at about $300-400. Then there's the SE Custom, which has a few more of the features of the full Tremonti guitars, and it's slightly farther up the pay scale at $700-800. Then it jumps to the full on copies that clock in at about $2300 and up depending on paint job and other details. You can also just buy the Tremonti pickups from PRS, for about $200, and drop them into the guitar of your choice.
Yeah, they've been making them since back in his Creed days, except for the SE Custom which was add as an intermediate level option in the last 2-3 years.
One of the best
What a humble, honest man. A guitar composing genius!
Tremonti has always seemed to be pretty humble and grateful for where his career took him. I've always respected him after reading an interview after Creed hit where he mentioned he practiced for hours a day to improve his guitar playing. The guy was multi-platinum and still working to get better at his craft.
He is the best underrated guitarist out there. The stuff he puts out is incredible in every way
Sounds like you have him rated pretty high.
It’s not about playing a crazy amount of notes within seconds, It’s about how much thought you put into your music and how a guitar solo makes so much sense in the middle of the song. In that case Mark is a genius. Totally agree with you!!!
Christopher Hensley sounds like you rate guitarists base on the how many notes they can hit per second. That's cute
Yea right 😂😂😂😂😂😂
he is not underrated
He hid his sadness behind a modest smile.
Give Graham a raise, a corner office and a secretary. I've never seen Mark open up about any of this stuff. Love that guy.
+Coleby Arnett all he did was read questions...he seemed so fucking awkward. i thought, is this guy autistic? homosexual? both?
+iownyouall4444 I'm not sure how either of those things would be bad. Even though I'm quite sure hes not either. He does have an awkward vibe, a lot of people do. He still has to think up the questions and conduct the interview. Which I thought he did very well. That's just my opinion.
Coleby Arnett being autistic is something that can be helped. if that was the case, i'd be proud of the guy for getting a job and stepping up like that. a lot of people, even with mild forms, would be hesitant to be in the public eye. the gay thing would be bad. have you seen an attractive female? gays are some weird ones. i find his interviews, i watched a couple, to be a little odd. i don't think this is the job for him. he seems a behind the scenes type of guy.
Coleby Arnett haha, very solid points! yeah, depending on the level of autism it can be very manageable. the word is thrown around often by trolls and people trying to be funny, so sometimes it isn't applicable. but with certain people, my niece for example, she has a high functioning form. she's just socially awkward and has trouble making and keeping friends. middle school is an awful time to discover things like that. other forms of autism hit at an earlier age and are more noticeable. some kids aren't able to speak at all, it's really sad. there was a good movie about asbergers, i forget the name. but that's a high functioning form of autism. agree about the bitchy gay guys. can't stand it. honestly the most reasonable explanation is that he is probably new and nervous. i wish him the best of luck going onward, and i will check out the slipknot video.
+iownyouall4444 ...that's the point if you missed it...to scroll through and fact check Wikipedia...
There are many in the public eye who are questionable role models, but Mark Tremonti is not one of them. Always seemed a classy guy.
Wow very different to see Mark speak so openly about some of those things. Nice to see. He's always been pretty guarded and courteous when it came to talking about the drama and some of the inner workings of his career.
Owen Iozzio I agree it was interesting, but I don’t like that he brought up the Brian Marshall stuff. Brian has never really wanted to talk about that so Mark should have respected that.
@@bcdey84 But i don't like cry babies ! There now, we both voiced our opinions bradley.
Gru - a bit of advice. Always finish on a high note. Many of your interviews end with a depressing fact which leaves it a little flat and the interviewee looking a bit sad. Plan them so that you end on a positive point. It doesn't matter even if it's a silly question, just make sure it's not depressing.
RIGHT?! I feel like he's reading off obituaries
interviewer was so off
This guy is a god. And a real bro too. Never have I been more happy to say I was a devoted fan than with Mark.
Rock in tremonsters!
Never cared much for Creed but Mark sounds like a real genuine guy.
Idea: when you are conducting an interview, how about the second question you ask isn't one about his mother dying?
Yeah, that should be the first question asked.
@@MrParkerman6 Yup
They cleared all the questions with him before hand. Good for him being willing to share. One of the reasons i like this series a little polished but mostly real.
Much love to Tremonti. An unmistakable tone he had. God bless you sir. You were a big part of my teenage life.
Mark is such a nice guy. He is so down to earth and quiet.
Mark is a talented and super cool guy. I already admired him before seeing this, and I admire him even more now.
Wow, he definitely cleared up those rumors out there. He is so open and honest that's why everyone loves and respects him and his music.
Mark is such a cool guy u can really see him get emotional when he talks about his mum
So down to earth. And a true shredder
He has the smallest ego of any guitar player.
him and Brian May
@@YeshuaHaMaschiah whom is also a confirmed genius
@@nickdeiters4690 Amen and AMEN!
I also heard Slash is really modest
Same with dimebag Darrell
Mark is a great soft spoken guy. Really love his attitude an way of handling things as he said in the interview
Mark is just so amazing!!! This is a guitar player to really listen!!! He influences my style so much!!!
Definitely the most in depth interview I've ever seen of Tremonti. All of what he said was really interesting. I just hope it doesn't further burn too many bridges that could've been reconciled in the future, and I mean in business or friendships. Very good interview though.
+DrizzlingDrizzlers Creed never should have tried to do a reunion, and I don't know, from the sounds of it, that Mark and the boys would disagree with that now. He says "you never know", but honestly, I don't think they should ever try again, either. That album they made just didn't sound like a Creed record. It sounded like more of the same crap that Stapp had been putting out with his solo work. Stapp lost the great voice he once had in the 90s, and the dude just has a lot of problems. HE needs Creed to get back together. The other guys are doing great with Alter Bridge and other projects, and do not need Creed at all.
poopmaster13 Full Circle did have a different sound, but if you compare My Own Prison to Weathered, those albums were very different as well. I've liked all their albums, and would love to see it work out for Creed again, but like you said, I just don't think Stapp's mental health is up for it right now. I'll always be a Creed fan though. I have family members that suffer from the same stuff Stapp does, and its rough. I definitely wish him the best.
Hells no man. full circle was great. it was a departure from the older sound and I feel like thats what many people disliked about it.
too me it was great. I feel that stamps lyrics were more on pare with what he actually felt and the less cryptic meanings behind each song made it more enjoyable.
Ghost7065 I totally agree!
I love the honesty of this guy!
Mark has balls for handing the mother question like a boss. That's so sad 😭 about his mother.
P.S. U could tell that the interviewer was getting uneasy after Mark's response
Appreciate Marks honesty here. I could really tell when they were on tour as Creed that last time that Mark was not enjoying it. Lots of great things set straight too!
I like Mark's honesty.
AMAZING video. Love the stories behind everything!
Creed was awesome...been listening to them continuously for some days...
You are wonderful & awesome guitarist! Loved how you played in “rain”.. & other music vids & we all have life issues but fan here always🌹 loves you & creed forever!
Great interview! I am right in line with Mark's way of thinking. Very mature, well spoken and easy to listen to.
Kudos to him for being so open in all of this
Mark seems like an awesome guy to hang out with.
Such a humble guy and a great honest interview!
Such a great interview, interesting questions for once, I could see my man Tremonster enjoying these questions, they are different to what he gets all he time, nice interview man, do more, love it!! Thanks.
Sad Scott Stapp made people believe Creed were d-bags because Mark is one of the coolest dudes ever, not to mention being more skilled at guitar than almost any other in history
You have to see Scott Stapp's interview before defaming him.
@@TheKvltPantShater I have seen it, and one interview doesn't shine light on a person's whole personality. I'm also not saying Stapp is a prick now, but before. Years ago he did act like a douchebag. For anyone growing up listening to Creed, that kind of thing is well - known
This says a lot about Scott Stapp. Start another fight with your band because they're going to honour their commitments? Mark doesn't throw a fit every time Myles goes off with Slash, and Myles doesn't get annoyed that Mark has a solo career. Cos they're decent people. They work around schedules and support each other. Mark takes time out of his MAIN band to go back to one that broke up BECAUSE of these bitchfits. Maybe Stapp needs to grow up a little and realise that everyone's world doesn't revolve around him.
Aron Scott all this feels very high school to me...
+Aron Scott With all due respect, I disagree. Alter Bridge has been Tremonti's main band since 2003 and reuniting with Creed already meant putting his main on hold. They recorded an album and toured. Then how can Scott Stapp really expect the rest of the band to go straight into ANOTHER record when they have other commitments? It sounds like if anything, they were blowing off Alter Bridge which by all accounts, is the band that Tremonti, Marshall and Flip have more fun in. Stapp' reaction seems childish. Maybe the band would want to work with him more if he didn't throw such tantrums and not even look at his guitarist while they're on tour together.
It's a pity I will most likely never hear Scott and Myles on the same album, let alone same song...
I hate to say it but staff can pound sand...the best thing to ever happen to the creed crew was Myles Kennedy and the allowance for the musicians to seriously exploit their talent while letting them go full bore...the result was Alter Bridge which is still capitalizing on their initial amazement...unless you play you have no idea how technical Mark, Myles and crew actually are and thats why Mark has his own gig, Myles got hooked with Slash and all three are a true rock n roll dynamo the likes of which we've never seen before in this modern era...yes of course you have bands like chickenfoot to breaking bemjamin (least in the genre) but their skill and lyrics barely hold a candle...before you h8ers get crazy, im talking rock n roll, modern alt metal, so settle down
Since this video, it’s been revealed that Scott was dealing with depression, bipolar disorder, and addiction during that time. Now, he’s opened up about his issues, gotten the help he needed and is back with a vengeance. He recently said he and the guys are speaking again and his last conversation with Mark lasted an hour. That all sounds like positive signs that they will eventually reunite. Also, Scott is now on the same record label as Alter Bridge and Tremonti. I love Mark but have just never fallen in love with Alter Bridge’s music. It just doesn’t resonate with me for some reason. Creed, however, is my favorite band of all-time. I really hope they can put the past behind them one day soon and do another album and tour.
Bloody good interview
Graham reminds me of Chris Farley interviewing Paul McCartney. “You remember when you used to be in The Beatles....”
I remember never wanting to give the guy a chance because of his past in Creed but like i have a friend that's a hardcore AB fan and I heard some of their work while riding in his car and I was blown away with how awesome his guitar playing was. Like very all around good player, good vibrato, keen sense of melody; the guy has it going on.
I thank Alter Bridge for taking that financial risk to release on of my all time favorite albums. I'm sorry to hear it had such heavy stings attached.
the man himself Mark Tremonti he is a very good vocalist/singer, and he is a very cool and awesome dude!!!!
He such a chill & cool dude
Gotta love the sunglasses tan line.
Mark is very honest and forthcoming, great episode
Definitely nice a day refreshing to see him be so open. Usually his interviews are all about his music, guitars and amps, and that's fine but new questions, new topics, just new words...always nice. Obviously, the part when he mentioned his mother was very sad. The Creed fights, though...omg...I was laughing out of shock that it happened but more that he even told the story! LOL
Angela Soria the guy should have not asked him about his mother in my opinion. considering the nature of the subject
I’m so pissed I’ve missed out on this guys playing for so long because I was in middle school when creed was huge and they were made fun of more than nickelback back then. I never even have alter bridge a chance and man am I glad I came around and finally did. He is one of my favorite riff writers now
The restaurant was called The Cab Stand. It is now Cafe Cabernet on N. Monroe St across from Decent Pizza. I used to live in the same complex with a couple of the guys in the band. Mark was one of them. I got to see a ton of creed shows when they were in Tallahassee.
Que bueno que esta Mark. No le había prestado atención hasta ahora. Además se lo ve bueno como a Myles ❤
That is a very personal interview bravo!!!
Such a fantastic guitarist
Good interview, but I wish he didn't ask the question about his mother, that isn't really necessary for the public to know.
Exactly, and Mark has spoken about his mother's passing plenty of times before, he shouldn't need to reconfirm what is already known. Particularly when it's sure to be quite an unpleasant memory.
Yeah but he handled the question gracefully.
He didn't have to answer
I'd never know Mark's mother suffered lupus. I have lupus too. Yes, Mark says his mum died of a brain tumour. But I saw the emotions on his face when he spoke about her having lupus. That means a lot to me. A son who cared so much for his mother. Thanks Mark Tremonti for speaking so openly about lupus, you're so dear to me, but now even more so.......
I lost a little respect for Graham here. You could see the pain in Mark’s face. He also seemed a bit surprised by the question right out of the gate. Unnecessary.
Cool interview, not just a great guitarist but a sound bloke.
I have new RESPECT for Mark Tremonti after this video.
I remember 98Rock in Tampa played songs from My Own Prison months before the album broke in the rest of the country. It felt cool that we were listening to something that felt local but got a national following. I always thought that album was special.
I never knew that mark attended the same high school as me, or even lived in the same city. Given how much Lake Highland Prep like to flaunt their notable alumni (they had this huge birthday card signing for John Green when he started to get big), it's strange that they would fail to mention him. They even had Scott Stapp perform during an assembly in 2012 (his book was summer reading that year). I think it was amazing luck that I discovered him after I graduated. Its was World on Fire with Slash, Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators that led me to Alter Bridge which led me to his Tremonti project. Its a small world we live in haha! Seeing Tremonti and Alter Bridge live would absolutely complete my life!
You are badass by yourself, MT...keep up the solo work
Good job interviewer. You dealt with the mother death very well and professionally.
I only sang as a volunteer. Proud of your success. I'm a "keep it simple"
Kind of gal. Keep up Outstanding
Playing and singing ☺️
fav guitarist
Always liked creed always like AB and now listening to trimonti and it only dawned on me Mark is all three, been listening to rock/metal all my life, I know qualities when I hear them and mark has them all
love this guy...!
What a treat!! :)
Dang, Mark seems like a chilled good man.
Can't find a better man.
King of guitar!!
Most underrated guitarist imo. And my first guitar was a regal.
I honestly think this was the best Wikipedia: Fact or Fiction episode ever
My favourite guitarist..
Interesting episode. Lot of really weird fiction made it fun, but the stuff about his mom, tensions in Creed, and Alter Bridge being in debt to their former label were all bummers. Especially the part about his mom. Surprised to hear that brought up, given what was written.
Not a fan of creed as a whole but mark is one of my fav guitarist
Loved you guys at Tremont Music hall...Great fucking show !!!
mark the great guitar player of the last 20 years he the best song righter
I would pay to see Mark trying to break up that fight between Stapp and Marshall
Celebrity Deathmatch
please do one with Trivium's Matt Heafy
Scott Stapp was the crux of Creed, either it's most synergizing member or it's most divisive. It seems more of the latter in the band's final days.
What a great man.
You can never go wrong with a Black Les Paul copy as your main Guitar
Mine was a Black SG of Metal Honor🤟
Still own it
Amazing how that one lunch conversation ended Creed's reunion. I prefer Alter Bridge but Full Circle was actually decent. Did Stapp really think Mark and the guys were just going to abandon Alter Bridge?
saw him live on Fri, was amazing..Raven Age stood in for Sevendust and didn`t let the guys down. check them out if you like Trivium, very crunch lead similar..
He is one of the best guitarist of all time.
you rockstar mark tremonti...i like you skill guitar....
crystal clear mark!
Is there any chance you'll ever do a Fact or Fiction with Matt Heafy?
Now that would be awesome.
I used to jump off Alter Bridge after going to Angel Park and smoking huge blunts! Time of my life!
Best channel in thw godam worls
TREMONSTER \m/
What a guitar player
That tidbit about Alter Bridge paying off their One Day Remains contract until today is very sad. Never knew about that. It's very unfair for a record label to force a band to be on contract without appreciating their talent. Now I can see why Mark isn't exactly keen about a Creed reunion. While that will definitely make them a lot of money, they'll have to ironically join Wind Up on a temporary basis and whatever money they'll make will be eaten up by Wind Up's stupid debt.
That's probably why they're called "Wind-up"...sounds like a fair warning by Mark from this label.
He is a legend 🙌
Mark Tremonti of Alter Bridge*
Tallahassee FL baby whoop whoop
Mark is a beast. Fucking love Alter Bridge. Haven't heard much of Tremonti or Creed.
I got my first guitar at 12 years old myself and it was a el dagas les Paul copy just like you bro
Cool , down to earth person..
The song on ABIII where Mark and Myles are talking about their beliefs, does it happen to be Words Darker Than Their Wings?
I can understand why Mark no longer wants to work with a singer like Scott when he can have a singer like Myles. Who, just like Mark, is humble, dedicated to the craft, no ego, no bullshit. Those two are a match made in heaven.
Damn!! He's so hot!!
Scott Stahp said they did have the name Naked Toddler and that it was Mark's idea. He actually said this while being interviewed on fact or fiction
He seems like he’s always been the dad in the band
I could totally see them playing at a Friendly's...
That would have been awesome
