Life In The Stocks Ep. 308 - Mark Tremonti (Creed/Alter Bridge/Solo)

I've had the pleasure of interviewing Mark Tremonti many times over the last 12 years, for Kerrang! Radio, Scuzz TV and Metal Hammer, but this is his first appearance on Life In The Stocks.
We talk a little bit about Creed and Alter Bridge, obviously, but the main focus of this conversation is the last couple of solo records that Mark has put out, namely his Frank Sinatra covers album and the Christmas album he just released, Christmas Classics New & Old.
As a big fan of both Sinatra and Christmas music, I was fascinated by the idea of a metal shredder guitarist taking on this material, and doing such a great job of interpreting it and making it their own. Mark really knocked it out of the park with both albums.
We also discuss the creative and business approach to both records, and the charitable organisation and driving force behind the projects, namely the National Down Syndrome Society (ndss.org/) in the US and Down Syndrome International (www.ds-int.org/) charity in the UK.
